I baked it with half of the ingredients and baked it for 40 minutes at 175°c. It came out perfect. I liked it. Never thought of baking anything with sour cream. New but good experience. Thank you for such an easy recipe.
Wonderful, glad it went well for you! Sour cream keeps it nice and moist without making it too wet (like milk might do - and then you have to compensate by adding more flour which makes it denser) and still be fluffy and soft for the perfect texture!
I think hazelnuts would be a really nice replacement (as long as you're not allergic to those also) - maybe brazilian, macademia, or almonds could be nice as well!
I have never tried this particular recipe with cream cheese, so I'd say no because sour cream is higher in moisture. You'd have to look for a recipe that specifically calls for cream cheese which would have a different moisture ratio, but also feel free to try it and let me know how it goes (I'd imagine adding a little bit more milk/liquid to thin out the batter if you do) @@jazziecat2354
OMG 😱 this coffee cake 🍰 has become the house 🏡 favorite 😻 it’s so DELICIOUS 😋 Ty so much for sharing all your goodies with us… can’t wait to try more… yummy 😋 We’re lucky if it lasts two days 🙄 dang!
Thank you for uploading the video. The cake came out really light and fluffy with an amazing flavor because of the sour cream.Only thing I felt was that the nutmeg overpowered the cinnamon flavor and the walnut toppings got burnt smell.Next time I would be using less nutmeg and mix the walnuts in the batter itself.
Yes, adjust it according to your taste! Reduce the amount of nutmeg, and either mix the walnuts into the batter more, OR you can try soaking the walnuts that go on top in water first, could be an alternative to fix that issue!
Hi Daniel, I had some leftover sour cream and came across your video. I made it this morning for the first time. It was done near 1 hr. It did rise up high without collapsing and the taste was good. The only flaw was the texture was not as fluffy like yours and kind of moist(turned out more like pudding cake 😂). Toothpick did come out clean and should be cooked. Didn't overmix and the butter batter was like in the video. Do you know what could have gone wrong? Thanks
Sometimes, that can happen if the butter and sugar and eggs weren't beaten/creamed enough in the first place (which incorporates more air for that fluffy texture)... If that's still an issue, it could indicate that perhaps there is too much liquid components, so maybe use a little less sour cream, take a tablespoon or two out and see if that improves the texture! Hopefully that helps improve the cake!
@@DanliciousFood I made it the 2nd time today (already 1 year after I last commented). This time I used 1 cup + around 2 scoops of sour cream only. It turned out really well this time! I also made your lemon loaf at the same time, except I used orange instead. I'll comment there as well.
Perfect . What I hate about a lot of these is they use a stand mixture and their concoctions are too time consuming and complicated . . Many of us don’t have one or can’t afford with all the other expenses we have. This recipe isn’t. I love it !
Totally agree! A lot of home cooks don't have stand mixers, especially those just getting started in the kitchen. I prefer simple, easy, and anyone can do recipes myself, glad you enjoy it!
I’m sorry to keep posting but 😝 I keep making this DELICIOUS cake 😝 it’s my daughters favorite 😍 I 🧐 think cuz…She practically eats the WHOLE cake HERSELF IN TWO DAYS …if…I don’t stop 🛑 her 😂😂😂🤷♀️
Thank you! It's because coffee cake is meant to be eaten with coffee, but most of these originally don't have coffee in it (unless it's a coffee flavored coffee cake which would be DELICIOUS too!)
I’m so upset 😭 I’m making this yummy cake right now & I don’t have a Bundt cake pan so I used a cheapy 8”dollar tree pan and luckily I lined it with parchment paper but it’s growing over and spilling over onto the oven bottom 😢 …. Been 60 + minutes so far & I hope it comes out okay … will let you know at a later date… I’m drooling 🤤 dying waiting to try it

You made my year!!! 99% my Nana’s recipe 💜 thank you
❤wonderful recipe thank you
I cannot wait to try this. Reminds me of one from years ago.
It's so yummy!
I'm allergic to walnuts and pecans, what would be a good nut or seed replacement? I was thinking Pine nuts, but I would love to hear your thoughts.

I’d like to have some with my afternoon tea or coffee, looks so soft and delicious, love the crunchy topping, nice texture contrast 👍
Yes, that would be absolutely perfect! Glad you like it, gotta eat it fresh for the crunchy top though! 😊
O beautifull Thank you from Zagreb Croatia
Thank you so much!
Yes!! I got to do this one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay!

I love this sour cream coffee cake. It will be fine for breakfast. I have learned more from you. And I heard that your name is Daniel.

Oh no, make sure you use a bigger size pan next time (Or split it into 2 if you only have smaller ones), but it should still taste delicious!
My mom has a recipe like this that's a go-to and ALWAYS disappears at parties. The only difference is her topping has chocolate instead of walnuts.
Oh yum yum yum! Chocolate on top of this cake would be divine, I can see why it doesn't last long at parties!

Great recipe!!! The music is so loud and very very annoying!!!! 😊. Mike
Yea, I've turned down the music in my more recent videos!
Where's the coffee?
While there is no coffee in the cake itself, the name comes from the cake being intended to be eaten with coffee! :)
No need for the music.
My cup meaures LOOK smaller than US ones..Im in Ireland...can you give measurments in grams?????
Hate the music...sorry!!!!
Take too long, pls put subtitles and list of ingredients 😊
