I didn't even know it allowed any non-rally eligible car to be used in rallies, I only ever used the glitch to use special colours on the cars that had them. Like the secret black ones, or the special colour cars awarded in career mode, like the Chameleon Cerbera Speed 12.
In Gran Turismo Sport, there were two glitches that were hilarious to do: 1. Gate launch at Nurburgring Tourist. This was best done with the Gr. 3 McLaren F1 GTR. If you wedged the car just right at the gates before entering the track, the car will sink into the ground. The hard part is getting the car to launch, as it comes down to luck. If lucky, your car launches up into the sky for up to 2-3 minutes. Still possible to do in single player, but is a bit harder to do for unknown reasons. 2. The body-swap glitch (sadly not doable anymore). This one involved at least 2+ people, but the more, the merrier. Have someone volunteer to enter the lobby last. The others enter the track with a car that is NOT the Tomahawk X. As the last person enters the lobby, everyone quickly switches over to the Tomahawk X. If done right, the person that entered the lobby last will see the first cars that others were originally in (but in reality, they're in Tomahawks). That person will see the cars defy the laws of physics. Always funny to see a "Fiat 500 F" fly around the Nordschleife at 300 mph. :D
Another glitch in gt sport is one tokyo expressway (the one with the looong straight) where you can fly into the wall at the final hairpin, and if your lucky, phase through the wall and go out of bounds. Unfortunately if you go too far you do get teleported back :(
That was my favourite glitch as a kid. And if you drove under the corkscrew the game would pull you back up to track level and then launch you into the air.
There is actually another out of the map glitch in GT6 at Ascari, which works still. It’s pretty cool as you are able to pretty much check the scenery of the entire track.
@@monke1228 you use a small fully upgraded kei car to go between a ture wall and a barrier on the back straight or you'd use a large 4wd car by turn 1. There should still be videos on youtube showing you how to do it

There is a glitch with gear tuning on Gran Turismo 4 that allows you to get the gears even closer than with the typical transmission trick. It was particularly handy for the Peugeot 905. Sadly I can't remember the sequence you have to do, but I remember it involved exiting menus at certain times.
the best glitch in gt series for me is the glitched AI in GT3 when you use a no tire damage cheat code on race series, one AI will always have messed up physics in race series when using this specific cheat code, it's really funny seen the AI flying across the circuit in hyper sonic speeds
There's an audio glitch in the 1st Gran Turismo where on the ntsc-us and PAL versions of arcade mode, if you hit 152mph (245km/h) in replay and look behind you, the car audio goes up higher in pitch. Same thing happens in simulation mode except, you have to hit 190mph (306km/h) which works in the Japanese version as well.
Surprised that nobody picked the GT5 Nordschleife Glitch where you could drive around under the map and glitch out the sectors to finish laps within a few seconds
There's one on GT2 that I'm starting to think I imagined as I've never seen it discussed or even mentioned by anyone on YT. Near the Laguna Seca start/finish line, there's a bit of wall that juts outwards. It was possible to go out of bounds here. I can't remember specifics as it was 10+ years ago but from memory I would recommend driving into the very corner of that part of the wall with a fast car at high speed. Not much will happen at first but if you "wiggle" the car by steering, eventually you will go out of bounds. I used to enjoy doing this and then pointing my car at what would be the Corkscrew on the map and driving full speed at it - if done correctly, you will enter the track again at the Corkscrew but you'll fly upwards for a couple of seconds. It's amusing to watch this on the replay. I'm not sure I've described it very well but I'd love to know if anyone else did this one.
I just remembered the one in GT5 Prologue where you wedge a car sideways in the pit lane at Suzuka, and the game actually picks the car up, moves it sideways, then drops it again several times.
XTG took (using cheats and the switch glitch) the Formula GT to Chamonix (full grid race), and the Ford Model T to Cathedral Rocks ][ (full grid race-it's hilarious!)
I managed to make two cars merge once in GT2 on a PAL ps1. They made constant collision sounds and were fighting for what direction to drive into before eventually getting separated again. I've never managed to replicate that bug.
another really good one in gt6 was the pit lane glitch, youd drive backwards into the pits of an impossibly short track someone uploaded online, and after you load into any event afterwards, you will have basically infinite torque, which when paired with the tomahawk x and ssrx causes speeds of over 999 mph lmao
It’s fun to see the glitches in the Gran Turismo series. It would be funny to see Toyota in real life actually making the GT-One qualify for the WRC. Yeah it’s a bit of a bummer it won’t happen, but at least it’s possible in Gran Turismo 4. Don’t know about 3 but I hope there’s a way to install dirt and snow tires on it and perform a lot of tuning.
Something that isn't quite a glitch, which I enjoyed was that one time I entered an online lobby in GT6 where someone had hacked the track creator app to make an insane track which contained a cliff several miles tall. To this day, my top recorded speed in that game is 800+mph in an Audi Pikes Peak Quattro Concept (needed the power, traction and ground clearance to make it up to the top around near-vertical hairpins). I was actually a bit sad at the time, because I had conspired to make sure my tuned chrome Auto Union Streamliner kept that accolade with the help of other players giving me a slipstream in a fun online lobby.
There's actually a glitch associated with that, where there's a certain track made with the hacked track creator app. If you went in to the pits in the wrong end & then exited out, your car would gain a lot of power & you could make usually slow cars go 300mph.
I do remember in the early days of GT5 online, when people would take the tank car and try to ram people in smaller cars through the tyre barriers to glitch out the map. Sarthe being the best I think. Couldn’t go very far before being reset but it was good memories 😊
Weirdly, the final glitch where you can choose non-rally cars for rally tracks by highlighting a rally car and switching to the non-rally car and selecting at just the right time is really similar to a glitch... in Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME. Essentially in the series, songs will always have charts for four difficulties - Beginner, Basic, Difficult and Expert. However, some songs have a fifth difficulty called Challenge. You could essentially use this same glitch (highlighting while in Challenge difficulty, switching to a song/course WITHOUT a Challenge chart, and hitting confirm at the same time) to start the song in Challenge difficulty. Some songs would crash, some songs would play but with no steps at all, but some actually had charts, ranging from total garbage data and what probably was a test, to fully finished charts that for some reason never made it into the game. Isn't that bizzare.

Or how far the offline and online differences between updates factors in too. I have yet to do a GT Sport wiki edit about the 1.69 and 1.68 and prior from my experience tracking it.
Your submitted glitch also allows you to use cars that normally cannot race opponents, such as the Daimler Motor Carriage, the Benz Patent Motorwagen, and the Ford Model T Tourer. They are too slow to compete, so they will always race the Fiat 500, which is the slowest race eligible car. But, due to an oversight, the Toyota 7 doesn't require the glitch to enter Rally races... with an unfortunate side effect of equipping invalid tires that cause the car to slip across the surface with zero friction.
There's also a ground effect "glitch" in GT2 which gives you a very high grip around corners.. actually, I'm not sure whether this count as a glitch or not (hence the quotation mark) because this "glitch" can only be done on very fast cars.. I've tried this one with Escudo Pikes Peak, Toyota GT-ONE and Nissan R390 GT1 race car and be able to lap Red Rock Valley in under 50 seconds.. (under 48 seconds even with Escudo)

I think it was Gran Turismo 5 but I don't remember...
