I love that the Proclaimers sing this tune as the Proclaimers and as Scots celebrating a fellow Scot rather than posing as a mere tribute band...
It's great seeing Fraser Speirs one of the worlds greates blues harmonica players with some top class singers.
Just bloody wonderful.
Gerry Rafferty = Legend
Fabulous Fraser Speirs on harmonica. Had a pint with him in the Guildford in Edinburgh after he had played with Tam White's Shoestring band. Great guy, great times.
AMAZING
Great harmonica!!
mick lawler Fraser Speirs on harmonica
Brilliant, thanks for the post.
Thanks for this one! I love it.
Saved by a first rate harmonica, and the wee guy playing his electric guitar in the shadows. The same man who played a blinder on Baker St. Well done Fraser, and hats off to the musical genius in the shadows. A very humble and talented man.
Their accents are so thick you can slice it.
They do a good job with this. You want them to cover Justin Bieber?
sorry boy not the song for you, but 10000% for the harmonica
haha they fkn murdered one of the great songs
Definitely wrong voices! Great harmonica though!
Scottish accents for a Scottish song, whats the problem? A great tribute and great individual performers.
Flat as a pancake
What a terrible version!.....Stick to 500 miles!
Poor Gerry would be turning in his grave listening to these 2 do such a dreadful version of one of his wonderful songs 😡
Agreed.
Don't think so. I think he would have enjoyed every bit of it. Just because someone sings with an accent instead of the usual inane mid-atlantic drone of most singers these days, doesn't mean it's bad, just different. It's a tribute, not a copy.
@@yourweebrother its not the accent. I like the proclaimers very much I just don't think they do this song any justice...my opinion
Yes the boys are not there vocal wise
But that harmonica playing saves the day
