I'm saying this again, this channel is going to be big because of this type of reviews. Kudos to Nubia for making the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chip work! No other devices come close to getting Genshin Impact running at STEADY 60 FPS all the way on Max Settings (and yes, I've watched other gaming phones, even iPhone run the game, but cannot sustain steady 60 FPS on max settings without large caveats).
I have already the Redmagic 7 version and I happy with it, wont change it for the Pro version, the only complain with it could be the battery, I already test antutu and gives me 1030891 score!, nice video bro, greetings from México!

Absolute fantastic video. So very detailed and informative. Really glad you showed the fps throughout the entirety of the Genshin test. Its crazy how nubia got the 7 phones to run that game at locked 60fps when no other Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone can come close and not even the latest iphone can pull it off. Such a monstrous improvement from RM6. One question though, what performance profile did you use on both of these phones for the test, balanced or rise mode?

I have the redmagic 7 and just wanted to see the difference between my phone and the pro version. Thank you so much for making this amazingly detailed honest video. I also don't know why it's called rise mode lmao or what it does, I always play all my games on balanced and will be playing Apex mobile competitively in the near future so the 165 has been amazingly smooth and the only game fully optimized for this phones performance. Thank you sincerely for this video. Don't forget to buy the redmagic cyborpods! I just got mine today and they're so sick and worth it if you have a redmagic phone for gaming!!
@@notori-di5et 7 . Way better than the 7 pro in my opinion . 7 pro only has 120 hz screen but the 7 has all the way up to 165. Thank God they just had an update for the 7 the other day and now you can choose . 60 90 120 144 165 As options now!
The main reason why I like the red magic 7 pro is the stability of its battery and most important that large storage for 1TB that's a big plus I don't mind if has low FPS cause at the end of the day the storage for me counts especially some games when they update every month from 357MB to 1.5GB to 13GB man that's a lot 256 won't be enough not to mention if you play 12 Gacha games
where to buy the 1 tb variant? im from indonesia athis phone, the normal variant and their store is very very very hard to find. there only 1. 8hours from my house
Yea the 7 was having better performance despite having higher temp and the 8 ice cooler instead of the new 9 ice cooler on the pro I think they need software update or something cuz make no sense how 7 have better perfm than 7 Pro

Finally the fan technology created by Xiaomi/Blackshark is getting some love. The temperature on the SoC is higher because it's not under the cooling fan.I guess if ROG incorporates this Fan into their Fan attachment then ROG phone temperatures will be much lower since the SOC is in the middle and directly under the fan. SoC Temperature of 46.8 and 41 with that fan is not fun. Let's see what ROG comes up with.
Thinking of switching things up with my phones, currently own an iphone 11 pro max, do you have any good recommendations? Mainly interested in the rog 5, the blackshark or the redmagic.
the Rog 6 should be pretty interesting, but they tend to cost more, the new Redmagic 7 and 7 Pro looks really good right now and priced very competitively

thanks for the visit bro! the 960hz touch sampling rate is more noticeable and beneficial for gaming compared to a higher refresh rate since there are only a handful of games that support really high fps, whereas the touch sampling rate is native to the device and will work on any games
Hows the Long Term use for RedMagic fon ? is there no bugs / down performance after a year or 2 ... Im also lookin for a brand that is Tanky that can last upto 3-5 years for Gaming. but Theres no review about those Brands.
Redmagic phones in my experience are pretty solid for long term use, still have my redmagic 3s and its still working perfectly fine, though no more updates on it since its almost 3 years old

I think the changes on the 7 pro doesn't justify upgrading from a redmagic 6, your RM6 is still a very powerful phone, suggest waiting for next year's model

the 7 is good if you prefer the higher refresh rate, the pro has the bigger battery and better cooling, I will be doing a separate battery drain test to see which of the two phones actually last longer in normal use
It's understandable that Red Magic 7 Pro may and will most likely, have few more minutes of game time. The screen has a max frame rate of 120 Hz. Really a puzzle why offer better battery, cooling system and bigger display, if screen is max at 120. For me will most likely will go for Red Magic 7, since will be my first 165 Hz phone. But not really sure, was a really weird thing for Nubia to do.
So for next gen will be hoping for a similar Hz display on both models, better cooling and bigger battery. It's kinda a trade off tbh. Like will you like that max 165 Hz or just any other add on on the pro versions. Also another to keep in mind it's the price, with almost 200$ plus of gap. Only time will tell which model is more popular.
agree on all points bro, that extra $200 doesn't really get you that much better performance if going for the pro, still puzzles me why they decided on an under display camera resulting in a lower refresh rate for that display

Hey Eric, I already watched this video a while ago but just remembered that with the help of 3rd party apps like Device Info HW you could test the effectiveness of coolers like this for specific phone components like the battery or the SoC itself in the future. If you still own both of these phones it would be interesting to compare how much of a role the exposed aluminium plate of the RM 7 Pro actually plays vs the one under the glass from the regular RM 7 when it comes to actually transferring the heat away from more regions of the phone with a cooler attached.

the redmagic series is always a good option, there really isn't a phone that doesn't get hot, but the redmagic does a lot better because of their internal fans
Ohh.. my 6 Pro is a big hassle for me right now. It's been like this since purchase, I get huge frame drops in Genshin Impact and the phone gets up to 62°C with the Dual-Core Cooler on max RPM. It honestly sucks, my Redmagic Cyberpods also failed, the right earbud is broken and I get almost no sound out of it. Their support page ignores my mails also.
Omg I can't believe how smooth is genshin impact on those two beasts 😍 I'm jealous 😮💨 my 2020 top flagship can do the half of that fps only and not even stable

thanks for the support! with most games the ROG 2 phone is still pretty powerful, and it has one of the longer lasting battery out there, but if you want the most powerful phone right now and want to future proof, then you really can't go wrong with the RM7 or the RM7 Pro

i just bought the redmagic 7 for 750 Euros, redmagic 7 pro will cost 850 Euro. What do you think in terms of quality. i am a few i think that dont care about battery life and if this phone had no cameras it wouldnt bother me. If the phone is done, i buy a new one. So what do you think? is it ´only´ 100Euros to get 7 pro or is 100 Euro too much for the upgrade you think? I dont need more batterie and dont need underneath screen camera and dont need more storage. I only want the low temperature and stability of the 7 pro and the Refreshrate of the 7. I dont care about the size either, because you mentioned that often. i want a really good gaming phone, but i dont play hardcoregames like pubg or something that would need high perfomance, so Ram is important for me, because i go from app to app and switch very often and let a lot of apps running in background and want to switch fast again. thats my playstyle. well since you dont really care much about the cameras, the 7 pro would be a good choice because it is an almost all screen phone, cooling system is updated as well and will definitely last you a good long while.
For gaming phones I don’t really recommend it as its going to affect the heat dissipation, I’m working on a video where I test the official protector that also helps with heat dissipation bro

If you're getting one for the RM 6S, get the RM 7version, this has the slight curve at the back, if you get the universal version it has a flat back which will better fit phones other than the Redmagic lineup
Camera part heats so fast should I put the phone cooler there will it damage the camera? And will the excess moisture of the fan cooler get in the vent and damage the inner parts of the phone??

Great Video! Interesting that the RM7 Antutu was higher even in memory I believe, with 4GB less RAM. I was hoping both the devices would be the same RAM for more fair comparison. Maybe RM7 wins even more besides in cooling and battery. I am so torn between 7 and 7 Pro after this video. Since I have RM6S Pro I will buy RM7 pro for new cooling system/battery/slightly smaller size.
More ram wont mean higher performance, you can just keep more apps open in the background, RM 7 Pro is the way to go in terms of cooling and battery life
More ram and storage will not make much of a difference in the performance, its only useful if you want to keep apps in memory and more for bragging rights In my opinion 😂
Have you ever heard about LENOVO LEGION Y70 (SD 8+ GEN 1) and LENOVO LEGION Y700 Gen 1 (SD 875) and Gen 2 (SD 8+ GEN 1)... I would love to see it on your future gaming test or reviews...
doesn't really get to that point, since the back of the phone gets hot, the temp only goes down to around 20-25C, not enough to cause water droplets, if you keep the cooler connected when not gaming, only then will you face this problem
i don't understand why the 4 bars in the stability graph all show 100% while the numbers clearly don't. and i don't understand why you show a 1° c temperature difference like a gigantic difference in the graph
I realized that those cooling fans on the redmagic don't make a lot of difference cuz on regular phones like iqoo 9 pro it goes the same temperature as the red magic 7 in 3dmark in this video ruclips.net/video/PymmLOXnDLY/видео.html.
there is a big difference bro, the stability on that phone is only 72.1% the phone had to lower its performance just so it won't overheat, not the case for the redmagic phones, it can maintain peak performance because those internal fans are keeping the phone cool

I tried going at 60fps of Fortnite on red magic 6 pro and it became so uncomfortable to hold when it became 50°, I think all phones are better with the funcooler attached for prolonged gaming sessions .
@@mftech3108 these two phones are still pretty new and I expect they will be getting optimization updates in the next couple of months, the first time I ran the stress test on the black shark 4 pro, it got really hot as well but it received a lot of really good updates and performance and thermals improved significantly

yeah not too many games take advantage of the really high refresh rates, but after using both phones for some time, the Red Magic 7 Pro is growing on me, its a bit smaller physically than the RM7 and easier to use one handed

the red magic 7 is better in terms of the refresh rate, the 7 pro is better if you want a higher battery capacity and higher touch sampling rates, though the 7 pro has the bad under display selfie camera
well for now, there aren't that many games that take advantage of that 165 Hz refresh rate, and the difference is hard to make out using the naked eye, it's hard to see the difference really
If we want to utilise idle charge/bypass charge. Need 2 usbC cable with the cooler on. It's a mess. Why can't they have special connection to own cooler like rog5. Zzz.
I don't think the phone can output the needed power to juice those Peltier coolers, even the ROG coolers are just basically fans and does very little to cool the phone

It's understandable that Red Magic 7 Pro may and will most likely, have few more minutes of game time. The screen has a max frame rate of 120 Hz. Really a puzzle why offer better battery, cooling system and bigger display, if screen is max at 120. For me will most likely will go for Red Magic 7, since will be my first 165 Hz phone. But not really sure, was a really weird thing for Nubia to do.
So for next gen will be hoping for a similar Hz display on both models, better cooling and bigger battery. It's kinda a trade off tbh. Like will you like that max 165 Hz or just any other add on on the pro versions. Also another to keep in mind it's the price, with almost 200$ plus of gap. Only time will tell which model is more popular.
agree on all points bro, that extra $200 doesn't really get you that much better performance if going for the pro, still puzzles me why they decided on an under display camera resulting in a lower refresh rate for that display

Hey Eric, I already watched this video a while ago but just remembered that with the help of 3rd party apps like Device Info HW you could test the effectiveness of coolers like this for specific phone components like the battery or the SoC itself in the future.
If you still own both of these phones it would be interesting to compare how much of a role the exposed aluminium plate of the RM 7 Pro actually plays vs the one under the glass from the regular RM 7 when it comes to actually transferring the heat away from more regions of the phone with a cooler attached.

Ohh.. my 6 Pro is a big hassle for me right now. It's been like this since purchase, I get huge frame drops in Genshin Impact and the phone gets up to 62°C with the Dual-Core Cooler on max RPM.
It honestly sucks, my Redmagic Cyberpods also failed, the right earbud is broken and I get almost no sound out of it.

i just bought the redmagic 7 for 750 Euros, redmagic 7 pro will cost 850 Euro. What do you think in terms of quality. i am a few i think that dont care about battery life and if this phone had no cameras it wouldnt bother me. If the phone is done, i buy a new one. well since you dont really care much about the cameras, the 7 pro would be a good choice because it is an almost all screen phone, cooling system is updated as well and will definitely last you a good long while.
Is it advisable to use back protector (film) in rm7.? to avoid scratches on the back.
For gaming phones I don’t really recommend it as its going to affect the heat dissipation, I’m working on a video where I test the official protector that also helps with heat dissipation bro

If you're getting one for the RM 6S, get the RM 7version, this has the slight curve at the back, if you get the universal version it has a flat back which will better fit phones other than the Redmagic lineup

Great Video! Interesting that the RM7 Antutu was higher even in memory I believe, with 4GB less RAM. I was hoping both the devices would be the same RAM for more fair comparison. Maybe RM7 wins even more besides in cooling and battery. I am so torn between 7 and 7 Pro after this video. Since I have RM6S Pro I will buy RM7 pro for new cooling system/battery/slightly smaller size.

there is a big difference bro, the stability on that phone is only 72.1% the phone had to lower its performance just so it won't overheat, not the case for the redmagic phones, it can maintain peak performance because those internal fans are keeping the phone cool

I tried going at 60fps of Fortnite on red magic 6 pro and it became so uncomfortable to hold when it became 50°, I think all phones are better with the funcooler attached for prolonged gaming sessions .

yeah not too many games take advantage of the really high refresh rates, but after using both phones for some time, the Red Magic 7 Pro is growing on me, its a bit smaller physically than the RM7 and easier to use one handed

I don't think the phone can output the needed power to juice those Peltier coolers, even the ROG coolers are just basically fans and does very little to cool the phone

you would know need at least more than 45W charging speed to effectively use charge separation, otherwise the battery will slowly drain
