Thank you for your kind words!
“Superglue is a promise.” I love it.
😁
just viewed your etsy guides... damn really great stuff ... thinking of buying the "Tutorial - Basing Compendium, part 1"
Thank you! Enjoy! This guide is a beast. With signing up to my Patreon you can save 25% on my etsy guides ;)
I remember finding your blog on the net in like 2013/2014. It has been bookmarked and returned to year after year for scenery ideas. Yours is the best website I had found for tutorials, with so many amazing ideas (like the tobacco leaves as fungus, or acupuncture needles for arrows).
I can’t believe I never thought to search you on RUclips but super glad I came across you like 9 years later haha. Amazing work man, your creativity is incredible.
Roman: Thanks a lot for the good memories. Yes, the blog helped many people. I am happy that you are one of them. Well, we never been truely active on YT. We just started properly at the end of last year.
I really like those basic topics. I still learn every time something new.
Really happy to hear!
Fantastic teaching as always, cheers Roman!
My pleasure! Thanks for enjoying it!
Perfect!
😁
Man, I haven't even watched the video yet, but I thank you for your efforts!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
Videos like these are incredibly helpful, especially to beginners like myself. Would absolutely love to see a video on composition, as this is what i have struggled with the most. Thanks!
Happy to hear! Well, the compostion video is not really planned yet. This will take time. Sorry. You can check back with the workbooks I offer. They explain composition in depth. Links in the describtion. This could be helpful too: massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/2014/03/basing-composition-introduction.html
Direct and to the point. Very digestible tips! Great stuff Roman!
Happy to hear! Thank you for the feedback!
Great video Roman!!!!

Happy to hear! Thanks for the feedback!
Love it as always Roman, the production keeps getting better too.
Thanks, James! Happy to hear. Always learning over here!
Just bought the Masterclass Display basing PDF! I want to study some before starting my SMC model, and last time I was seeing a big bear on the road of painting, your PDF's really helped! Thanks for always being an inspiration!
You are welcome and I thank you for the support! Really appreciated!
Glad I found your channel
Welcome :)
Excellent! Just in time for this weekend upcoming Dogma48. 👍
I’ll remember the Tiny Details! 😄
Have fun and enjoy! Say greetings to the whole gang from my side!

Thank you!
Good tips, good encouragement, especially for those new to the hobby. I'll keep that soil tip in mind as well.
Yay! Happy you like it! More to come!
Really inspiring, thank you.

Very happy to hear! My pleasure!
Thanks for all the tips
My pleasure! Glad you find them helpful!
Loving your videos so much, such a calm presenter of ideas and concepts is so appreciated in this world of (sometimes) loud and over the top videos. Looking forward to the future
Roman: Thank you very much for the beautiful feedback :)
Great tips Roman! I picked up some sand and pebble mixture that they put on the baseball diamonds here. It's a nice mix.
This sounds really good. Yes, our basing material is everywhere where we can find it ;)
..very interesting video , ..I'm always on the look out for extra basing ideas , ..even 28mm miniatures deserve a nice bit of ground work. !!
So true! Happy you found this video interesting!
Good tips for sure.
Yay!
Just start glueing is a totally underrated tip! The worst block is to not even get started as sage and obvious as it sounds.
Indeed. So true!
First time on this chanel, like the creator, like the idea, like the music.
Thanks! Your feedback makes me happy!
Great Video as always! :)
Happy you like it!
Great tips!
Thx!
great tips ...
ps still got your portable paintrack... 👌
Nice!
Nice
Thx!
Thank you so much for this great content!
I like to super glue things in place, but i also use an alcoohol/water wash over everything followed by a PVA/water/washliquid-drop mix carefully put over the composition to seal everything in place (its very solid, even with very small and fragile pieces of soil)
Make senses, thanks for your input to the topic. I have to admit I never do any additional things than superglue. Thank you, again I learned something!
@@ROMANLAPPATMINIATUREART precise recipe is
1:1 mix isopropyl alcohol and water, you put drops all over (gently)
1:1 mix of PVA glue and water, 1 drop of washliquid, apply it very gently with a pencil on the prvious mix, just enough to have this flowing inside (like an oil wash flowing freely in recesses)
Let it dry, and nothing will move!
Great video!
Thanks!
Thank you for this. Creating a good viable and complementary base has always been my downfall. What you are providing has helped me tremendously. ❤️👍🏽
Superhappy to hear that. If you want to dig even deeper into the topic and magic of basing check out my etsy.ä shop for really detailed ebooks
Спасибо. Это очень интересно! 🙂
Happy you like it!
Hi Roman, I'm James. NIce to meet you. Thanks for the great vid.
Hi James, happy you like the video!
Hmm, somehow these tips seem very familiar... 🤔 Thanks for the great weekend, I had a lot of fun! I learned a lot despite knowing most theory points. I love how my base turned out, especially the cactus. (To tie this back into the video :P) I'm looking forward to seeing (and learning from) you again in May! 😊 -Giovanni
Roman: Hehe! Yes, I bet they are familiar. Thanks for joining up to the Beginner Weekend workshop. It has been my pleasure seeing your project grow!
Schöne Materialsammlung aber wo sind die Schädel . Schöne Tipps Danke
Hahahaha! Gerne!
Thanks for the tips, basing has usually been my weakspot or on lots of models.. nonexistant
Let's erase that together. Glue something to your bases. Now! :D
Composition tutorial, pls.
Well, not very fast, promised. The workflow for this channel has many other things before this will happen as it is such a grande topic and needs to build up with knowledge. If you want to learn about composition on basing I can highly recommend the workbooks I linked up in the describtion.
That king Maulf you showed a clip off, is that an old project or?
It is a really old project from 2009 :D - www.romanlappat.com/miniatures/ancient-hero-maulg
@@ROMANLAPPATMINIATUREART its great, dont remember seeing it before 😁👌
What's the sniper miniature at 6:30mins?
Roman: This is an Aeldari Pathfinder from Games Workshop.
@@ROMANLAPPATMINIATUREART Do you mean Ranger?
CA glue is very useful, but PVA glue, slightly diluited, it's very important to seal the whole base's assembly, expecially if there are organic parts, such as roots or leaves, dried coffee powder mixed with cheap acrylic paint is a good base for terrain.
Makes sense. Thanks for the addition.
4:49 Surely that's not CA on a toothpick which you repeatedly put in your mouth??????!!! 😆
No, it is not :D ... one side is the glue side, the other one is used for spit to pick up tiny material. Do not mix up the ends though, been there, done that :D
Just a comment.
Aye!
"Know your tools, have them close" isn't as helpful as actually explaining which tools one would commonly use, specially if you don't have room for industrial stationary tools. You also show some material that you take apart and make smaller pieces, but you don't mention what it is. This video was much more high level than i hoped from a perspective of someone looking to start tinkering with bases.
I totally get you, but to be fair, the title says pro tips and not "how to get started with basing"
Roman: I understand you and thank you for the input. I see what you are asking for and might provide a future basic basing tips video. There is still so much to tell about this topic. I will work on a video for beginners. Thank you for your feedback!
True.
thx mate !
You are welcome!
Thanks for enjoying!
