Only thing I didn't like was the capacity so I went and bought a Sig P365 XL with the Romeo Zero optic. Literally the next day I saw the release of the Shield plus lol. Needless to say I'm a little upset but I love my new Sig 🤣
I have the XL because the normal P365 was too small felt wrong in the hand but for both the XL and the regular you can get a Wilson combat grip which makes it more suitable. The XL is way more shootable in my opinion then the regular P365 it’s not as bad at all you made a good choice. I do want a performance Center shield plus the 4 inch model that’s my next gun purchase.
Impressive little pistol...just acquired the smaller 9mm Shield with Crimson Trace lg489, and after handling it and shooting it am having a custom iwb holster made as we speak. Now I'm thinking about this one...more capacity, better trigger, and less recoil than the competition...that's a win-win in my book!!! Thanks for the awesome, no BS review.
Sold my p365x with holosun 507k after shooting it side by side with my shield plus. The difference in control is substantial when shooting 10rd mags in each pistol. Hell the difference in control against all subcompact pistols is substantial. The distance from the front of the grip to the rear of the grip really helps with putting more hand meat on the pistol for more control. I'd be surprised if S&W releases an optic ready version with 3.1" slide.
I remember playing high school basketball, you never ended on a miss. Always bad luck. Something I still preach to my nephews, "never end on a miss, shoot until you make it!".
Mine must have been made on a Friday night right after a drunken party !!! Right now it's on the way back to S&W to fix the issues. Wouldn't bet my life on it the way it was sent out of the factory. I've had / have a number of S&W and all but this one are great firearms.

Fun to watch you both shoot! Great video!! I got to try this gun out today. At 20 yards, my first shot was a 10th off of the bullseye, and second shot was dead center. I just did a quick point shoot, so I wasn't working hard to hit with it. Needless to say, I slapped it on layaway! It shoots better than me! It may be retiring my Glock 43.
I've been waiting for your review. Now I'm sure my Shield Plus is a great gun. I have a 365 and a 365XL. The 365 is so small I consider it an ankle gun. The XL is a good IWB gun. But I've always liked my Shields more than any others. I'm convinced the Shield Plus will soon be my primary edc.
Picked up a Shield plus today. Nite sites and optic ready right out of the box. That trigger is awesome... and the magazines are made by Mec-Gar and are a vast improvement over the bare steel originals. $450. A big win!
I saw these at a local gun store 2 weeks ago. They literally just came off the truck. I was so close to buying it as I have a shield 1 but I'm saving my $ for the 2.0 subcompact ONLY because it will take my full size mags! Great video for a great gun!
my first pistol purchase a couple weeks ago after trying several different guns over the years. Very please with how it feels in the hand, the trigger, recovery, and extra capacity.
The Walther pps was the first gold standard reliable pistol of that size, not the shield. The pps came out years before, the shield just caught everyone's attention

"I'm the Outlaw's Wife and I shoot very well" sounds like a old country music song. Nice Job!!!
My new Shield EZ is less than 2 months old... it'll be my carry gun for the foreseeable future. LOVE it!
Currently carrying a shield 45 2.0 absolutely love it but this might be next on the list just because of capacity 💯..
There is something about the little 2.0 in 45. I agree. I have the plus now to go with the 45.
A month ago you were trudging (to trudge) through 10ft of snow and now you are pulling up your sleeves. CrazY!
One my Stimmy Guns. I love this gun. Same size as the Original higher capacity. Sweetness! Happy Easter Sir!
Good review! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Honest Outlaw! Important to show her shoot too!
Mr honest outlaw just got a little bit of extra cred, with his old lady there 🤔😇😂 good job sir!
Mine must have been made on a Friday night right after a drunken party !!! Right now it's on the way back to S&W to fix the issues. Wouldn't bet my life on it the way it was sent out of the factory. I've had / have a number of S&W and all but this one are great firearms.
This channel will receive more followers if Honest Outlaw becomes the primary camera operator and Mrs. Outlaw becomes the gun reviewer ;). Seriously, great review and as always, very informative.
Picked mine up a week ago for CCW and love the upgraded trigger. Great channel and way to represent Iowa.
great video. mine fit my gen 1 shield holster fine with one exception. the shield plus mag release is a little longer and my holster pressed against it a little. took a dremel to it and now no problems. very happy s&w released this gun as I'm not a huge fan of the p365 but love my gen 1 shield.
Kudos to your wife! She did an excellent job!
AND STILL REIGNING CHAMPION ON SHOOTING !! Brother your 1 of the best shots on utube

My wife and I really enjoyed the video. You need to video your wife shooting more often. My wife really enjoyed seeing her shoot. Still love my M&P Shield 9mm Performance Center also. It just works, and is super easy to shoot.
S&W does offer an optics ready model . Also a ported model and a 4 " barrel version.
okay can i just say that i am a FAN of Mrs Outlaw! What a delightful personality!
Also nice shot shooting at 65-75-80 yards with the Shield Plus!!!! Your a beast man 👊👊👊👊
I've been waiting for your review.
Bought the Sheild plus yesterday and instantly fell in love. sincerely a Glock fan boy
Looks like a winner. Mrs. Outlaw was tearing it up with that thing. I think she needs one of her own 🤔 Thanks for the great review!
Picked up a Shield plus today. Nite sites and optic ready right out of the box. That trigger is awesome... and the magazines are made by Mec-Gar and are a vast improvement over the bare steel originals. $450. A big win!
The performance center version is awesome
I need to find a good review in the PC version! You’ve shot it, elaborate on the “awesome” for me if you don’t mind?!?
@@marchanson2495 just cause he said it's awesome doesn't mean he's shot it
Better sights, trigger is a bit smoother
I’ve tried almost every concealed 9mm and this is by far the best Gun I’ve ever shot!
This is the review I’ve been waiting for 👍🏻
I have G19, M&P Shield 1.0, and a CZ 97b never once had a jam in any of them. All three comoanies make fantastic products.
You know your channel has high end content when the Easter Bunny makes a guest appearance.
That's *why* it's great content😆
Who needs the Easter bunny when we have ginger Outlaw Santa Claus?!
LMBO!!!!
Nailing steele targets at 50 yards with a 3-inch subcompact 9 is insane! This boy can shoot!!
Love Mrs Outlaws cameos
Sir you have became my #1 reviewer on RUclips...keep up good work!
Incredible capacity for a small pistol. Would love to carry one.
Love my S & W M & P sub compact 2.0 super fun gun 115 grain fun 147 grain super snappy 124 grain just perfect. Now I want that one !!
The Walther pps was the first gold standard reliable pistol of that size, not the shield. The pps came out years before, the shield just caught everyone's attention
My Kahr K9 from 1999 grins.
I got one. Good little pistol shoots really nice. I already had a shield .40 2.0 with integrated crimson trace. Both nice pistols. But I'm loving the plus at the moment. My wife really wants the max 9. Can't wait for that review.
1st day on the range with this bad boy... I really like it, shot it pretty well
Shields are my favorite pistols to shoot. Have two 2.0 and now two of the Shield Plus. S&W has the mags at better prices for sale sometimes, but you have to phone customer service.
Damn Mrs. Outlaw shot great. Great review and shooting, both of y’all!
I was very excited to see you covering this S&W micro 9! Great Vid my man! Thanks for all that you do.
Tell me it wouldn't be awesome if Mr. and Mrs. Outlaw had their own reality TV show. "Keeping Up With The Outlaws." Hahaha
They'd be bigger than duck dynasty
@@aortiz0714 without the iron age religious woo, hopefully 🤞
Well I'm sold. I was torn between the hellcat and the P365. I didn't even consider this for some reason. I love my other shield. This one just makes since. Thanks for the informative review.
Great job again brother Mr and Mrs Outlaw 👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, it fits in regular Shield holsters and S&W has an optic cut version already.
This is the best shooting micro hi cap on the market....PERIOD!!
@14:30 Excellent acoustics.
