What separates John's jobs from a lot of the other mulchers is the extra time he spends finishing things off. It really makes a big difference to how good the job looks at the end.
I have to say I'm really proud of Josh. He has really gotten the hang of running that mulcher quickly. You have the right idea of just putting your guys on the machines and letting them learn how to run them in a way that they learn how to be most efficient within their skillset.
I really like the way these forested ares look after your done ,would it be possible to show a job that’s one or two years old to see how nature fills in.
Good man John a new skits tear you so well deserved you do such a neat job. Ian a gardener myself for 28 years so I know what work has to be done to keep garden’s neat I can’t bare a shoddy job. Treat it like your own yeaaaaa
Yet another excellent video. You have just the right mix of the machines at work and the commentary explaining what you did and what you still have left to do. I loved your arrival in the morning, with guys on their way. Judging by your demeanor, you weren’t “up and at ‘em” this morning. It looked chilly and like you’d like to knock off for the day, but can’t afford the luxury. But once you and the guys get going, you really get going. I’m sure the weather warming up really helped. Someone thought you needed a drone, but it really doesn’t make that much of a difference. The trick to the quality of your videos comes in the editing, when you put the story together. Remember, videos don’t just edit themselves, you have to work with them. And John, you know as well as I that you have if not the best, then certainly one of the best editors in the business in your wife, Jodi. She totally gets it - that a video is not just 30 minutes of watching machines at work. It’s basically an infomercial for your company and the point is to make it as interesting as possible. I love the placements of your commentary, when you show us what you’re dealing with and how you plan to attack it. She knows just where to place them to break up any monotony and set the stage for what goes on next. And this isn’t an accident. She has just as much of a stake in the company as John does. For instance, I recently watched a video of someone mulching and brush hogging for 48 minutes. No audio, just a little background music with a change of pace only near the end. After about 15 minutes I was totally bored. I also love the emphasis on the before an after on the job. You said you thought this day would never come, but as one who has watched and listened to every video you made, I can truthfully say that I saw it coming because I was watching a man using his inner drive combined with the grace of God, and three extraordinary employees that believe a 100% effort is the rule at all times and who love to learn. Oh, and about your Bobcat. Somehow I see a new excavator on your wish list. I’ve never been a Bobcat fan. I knew folks that owned them and a lot were, shall we say, underwhelmed. So, if you have the money, your next excavator should be a Caterpillar. Spend the extra $$, and enjoy the fruits of its labor.
Nice job! You and your crew are very efficient with your time and working well together. Everyone appears to know what needs to be done and it’s like a well oiled machine.
I can't figure 14 dislikes... This is actually one of the better videos of a job starting with lots of brush and trees and ending up looking like a walking park in pretty much real time. Considering that's what I clicked on the video to watch. Great job on the video _and_ great job on the clearing. Thanks!
Good thinking to get all the machinery warmed up before the crew arrive , it’s so easy to loose the first half hour or so of production every day . Great camera vantage point showing all 3 of you working in unison .
So great to see an area cleaned up like this... no you can go for a walk with some shade, put a bench down by the creek to relax... job well done as usual...
Those machines are like the owner......Rough and tough and don't take crap off of nothing or nobody. LOL Excellent job turning that thick choking greenery and dead trees ect. into a park like area. Clean and ready for a new home to be built on that property.
I know it takes a lot of work to get to a new machine and to keep it !!! Your team does good work. I all so know it takes time to be a you tuber , thank you !
As always one awesome video. You guys do amazing work. I heard you say you thought this day would ever come. But God already knew it was. God Bless you and all the guys and the families.
Wow you have two now! Glad to see the business is booming and thriving man! I hope my wood business does. I’m working on doing a business loan to get some better commercial grade equipment to really get the wood flowing.
They are made in Grand Rapids Minnesota and were purchased from Terix by yanmar in the last year or so. They have improved the design even more and are having a difficult time keeping up on production.
love the high speed, you guys do a great job. Oh ya high every body it's a John with upstate brush control with a lot on his mind and plate. Keep it up
We live in a beautiful state, but when you guys finish these jobs and polish the countryside up, it's like postcard perfect! I love watching your videos! Glad I stumbled across your channel
What are some interesting "finds" you've made while clearing land? I was running a bush-hog and found an old single barrel 12 gauge shotgun, an old manual water pump, chimney stack rubble from a long forgotten home and even tomb stones from the 1800's.
John, I have dealt with that issue in the past on the bobcat. If you would like you can send me an email with the machine info and I can get you a parts list and give you some tips as a 17 year heavy equipment tech. Love the DCR heads versus the bullhog heads, they don't beat up the equipment quite as bad.
The time lapse really shows how well your team has it figured out with how to each take one part to task with someone else taking over the next step. I noticed y'all have a privet problem down there too. How badly does the privet pop back up after you go through grinding it like this?
So much more sunlight on the ground now. How long do you think it takes for the cuttings to decompose and become nutrient to the soils? Should become fertile ground in time. Good video.
Jon, what’s your impression of the Blackhawk now? Just trying to get a review of pros and cons. It seems like it bogs down really fast although it does recover quickly. Or was the operator of the Blackhawk mainly focusing on large items? Just would like to know your opinion of the new one versus the regular dcr.
What do you normally charge to do a job to you price as a whole or by the HR per machine. Im thinking about getting into forestry mulching and thats what I can't figure out. I don't wanna be to expensive but still wanna make money. Its just going to be a side hussle really unless in turns into something big. I log full time so I figured I could offer mulching service too
Love the camera angle at 7:50. I been waiting for you guys to get a drone for a cool view of the work being done. I know drones are not cheap though. Throw in some multiple before and afters into the videos and your golden 👍.
May have to edit this later in case I haven’t got to a part in video yet. Are you still evaluating the Blackhawk head as I see you haven’t done anything with the grill/guard on it yet to cut down on big stuff coming back against the cab?
Zombie Apocalypse comes, I will need one of these to just drive thru town to get supplies. Not even gonna open the storefront door, it will become a drive-thru.

Such a great job again guys.

What is the only thing better than an ASV 120 with a Fecon cutter? Two of them. Great video.
Absolutely
These guys make the challenging look fantastic! Amazing work ethic and character.
Excellent video well done top job top team awesome thanks . y'all stay safe out there
Looks so awesome! ❤️🇺🇸
Thanks!

What a nice finish product
Enjoying the show
Well I will say it again u do better than #1 work!
Excellent high pov time-lapse John!!!
The time lapse really shows how well your team has it figured out with how to each take one part to task with someone else taking over the next step.
I noticed y'all have a privet problem down there too. How badly does the privet pop back up after you go through grinding it like this?
That is a fantastic job, and one nice place !!!
Awesome Job!!
The speeded up section is terrific , more please.
Really enjoyed this video 🇮🇪🖍️🚜🤠
Great job!
Really enjoyed this video, thank you 🇮🇪🇮🇪🖍️🚜😎🤠
So much more sunlight on the ground now. How long do you think it takes for the cuttings to decompose and become nutrient to the soils? Should become fertile ground in time. Good video.
I love the duelling skid steers!
Gday from new Zealand. Good job guys
Great job as always thanks
How do you decide what trees to leave and not? Species, spacing? Do you also have something that rakes up all the grindings?
My 80 acres in TN is in need of that so bad. Very overgrown from a select cut done by the previous owner. I'd love to have one of those machines.
Awesome team work
Fuel.....you should open a refinery, it would save u....time to rise some prices..Good lookin work men!
Loved the video!
Little bit on normal time, time-lapse, and dueling Fecons.
What is the difference between the Bullhog vs Blackhawk? If you had to choose between the 2 which one would you rather have?
How many acres was that job? How long did it take you guys to clear? Did the have you clear any trees? Or did you just clear minus the big trees?
I would be going back and forth in my sleep after a day of doing that.
How long before the mulch starts to decompose and you can plant? Looking to do this for some food plot areas.
Have you used disc mulchers. And if so what's your opinion???
I can visualise a mulcher attachment that fits on the boom of the excavator. Is there such a thing?
Jon, what’s your impression of the Blackhawk now? Just trying to get a review of pros and cons. It seems like it bogs down really fast although it does recover quickly. Or was the operator of the Blackhawk mainly focusing on large items? Just would like to know your opinion of the new one versus the regular dcr.
How fare below grade do these machines reach to take out the roots and small stumps when they clear areas.
🔥🔥🔥 FANTASTIC VID MY BROTHER
You ever tune the new head to the new machine?
Josh I have a question, which fecon head do u like better?
Your older asv and head work so much better than your new one.
What's the best time to pole saw? Before the tree workaround, or afterward?
How much acreage can you clear in a day, or how many hours?
How long does it take for the mulch to disappear?
What do you normally charge to do a job to you price as a whole or by the HR per machine. Im thinking about getting into forestry mulching and thats what I can't figure out. I don't wanna be to expensive but still wanna make money. Its just going to be a side hussle really unless in turns into something big. I log full time so I figured I could offer mulching service too
Cost per acre?
We used to use a D6 and scrape it into piles and burn it up.
The machines sound so insane outside of the cab. If I were a zombie I'd run far far away.
How do you still have all the glass?
Muy buen video saludos abrazo grande desde Argentina
Gracias a Ud. Abrazos desde East Tennessee
Time for CBs or handhelds?
Don't understand why you don't use a chipper to deal with the 2-3" small trees?
Hi where can I get a rear bumper like this for a bobcat 770
With all of this grinding going on, do you and your employees use any type of hearing protection?
How many acres would you say that was?
This what is called a clean sweep😀.
Can you tell me the type of equipment used and where I can purchase this.
Love the camera angle at 7:50. I been waiting for you guys to get a drone for a cool view of the work being done. I know drones are not cheap though. Throw in some multiple before and afters into the videos and your golden 👍.
What is the guage on the cutting head for?
RPM
👍
Where's the usual intro? Who are you? What channel is this? Lol. Great job guys.
“Hey guys, it’s “Jarn”..... 🤣
May have to edit this later in case I haven’t got to a part in video yet. Are you still evaluating the Blackhawk head as I see you haven’t done anything with the grill/guard on it yet to cut down on big stuff coming back against the cab?
looks very cood whisses from the nederlands
Looks great!
Thats why i love land clearing my neighborhood
You should end with a before and after shot.
Hey buddy, you like the asv 120?
Does it have the Cummins engine ?
Zombie Apocalypse comes, I will need one of these to just drive thru town to get supplies. Not even gonna open the storefront door, it will become a drive-thru.
