  • This was a small but severely overgrown lot that had to be cut and mulched. Growth was easily 15' high in some areas with small trees. The MTL XCT and the Deere 329E tackled it pretty well!

They cleared an area like this near me a few years ago.
One guy went out and bought a mower and kept his area clear - It looks pretty decent now, the grass all came up and you could sit and have a picnic there.
The other ones left it and over the course of a couple summers just turned back into this again, they must like paying out for clearance work lol.

Loved the music, it looked like you got on to how to clear heavy growth with that machine. Our rule of thumb is knee high we keep the deck down near the ground and back out to finish cut. Cab high we run in with the deck between 30 to 45 degrees. Once in lower the deck and back out. Take another bite and back out. Tall small trees we hit just off of 90 degrees and drop the deck down in stages. Some of that you could have driven the bucket in to make some paths. Good luck, be safe.

I really like the camera better on the cab roof than on the tripod. You get a better view of the work. It makes it feel like you’re the one doing the work! 😊😊

Great job clearing .Thank God it's flat. My house is on a mountain side, with 4 acres to cut, its really hard work cutting with a strimmer as the bank is so steep. Fallen down quite a few times and rolled all the way down the bank lol. Wish I could plant grass that only grows 2 inches ha.

Yeah down here at the coast that is one thing I don't really have to deal with is steep hillsides and slopes which is nice but we do have plenty of swamps and low areas so that's really my main concern is getting bogged down and stuck in those areas because alot of times they're hidden. Thanks for watching!

Watching u run ur brushhog reminds me of my bushhog I ran for the city parks&rec- the big difference is mine was a 6500 Ford tractor with a Brushwacker brushhog/ 2 to 1 gear box on the hog- I ran that machine for 6.5 years lol

Some kind of saying about the IQ of a person that watches grass grow - guessing mine must be somewhere around room temperature (probably a really cool room) because - I watched the whole video. And like Maryruth Teeter says below - in 3/4 of a century I've never seen a machine like this.

This was odly satisfying. I dont normally like wooded areas to be cut down. But this was kinda fun to watch.

Very nice video. I really enjoyed the the point of view from the top. Especially that you left out any kind of disturbing music during the realtime work. Excellent job. I got a small company in europe doing similar things, but my equipment is a little bit different. You got a new subscriber.

Do you back up a lot because you have to expell chopped material and keep it from getting bunched? Or are you making those small passes to be careful for rocks? Really curious how you use these machines. Also, how high of a flow machine do you need for running a mulcher?
