Musta lucked out to have been working with no 0s, 1s, or 2s in an eleven-digit set. Otherwise, if you're deciphering this and there's a 7, 8, or 9, what do you do? Is it the natural choice to roll them back to 0 & 1 without carrying? If anyone remembers the episode well, remind me specifics. Do the characters have a means of knowing the nuance of the +3 code-key, or is it just contrivance that kept it simple? It's tempting to use this as ammo against the Kurtzman Camp, but those on both sides of that issue like to oversimplify it.
