As someone who works in transportation this is dead on accurate. The amount of times I have mixed up bus ship airplane and truck with co-workers is ludicrous.
@@DudeinGA That's why you should always travel with Spock if you go anywhere on a bus (though I think Picard has used the Vulcan nerve pinch at least once on someone).
Yes, but my only quibble with that is the 24th century wouldn't have most of those vehicles anyway. Except the bicycle. Seems like the sort of low-tech thing Federation humans would go for. Cars are for the holodeck where you won't actually inhale real engine exhaust.
@@synthetic240Electric cars don't have engine exhaust, no worries there, but between public transport, bicycles, electric scooters, and cheap suborbital flight, who wants to worry about finding a parking spot.

It seems like the writers of Picard Season 3 tried to include as much of the actors’ personalities as they could get away with without changing the characters. And it works because of how much of themselves the actors already put in the characters.
Wait; adding 3 to every digit?! So, prior to ciphering, the message-sender had authentic coordinates and subtracted 3 from each digit. Musta lucked out to have been working with no 0s, 1s, or 2s in an eleven-digit set. Otherwise, if you're deciphering this and there's a 7, 8, or 9, what do you do? Is it the natural choice to roll them back to 0 & 1 without carrying? If anyone remembers the episode well, remind me specifics. Do the characters have a means of knowing the nuance of the +3 code-key, or is it just contrivance that kept it simple? It's tempting to use this as ammo against the Kurtzman Camp, but those on both sides of that issue like to oversimplify it.

So what you're saying is that sometimes you say "Its a boat" when you really mean to say "its a co-worker?"
I was at 8500 feet approaching LAX once when I realized I was on a bicycle. Fortunately ATC let me land right away, as my legs were getting so tired.
Let's ship it by plane; hurry up though, it's already taxiing down the runway.

I love his pure excitement for A SCOOTER!
I want a series where Frakes and Stewart tour interesting places across the country riding a bicycle built for two.
“Aren’t we a little overdue for a bicycle built for two?”
I recommend Picard should just get a monthly bus pass.
He will be entitled to a free bus pass in the UK as he's over 60, as well as a senior railcard giving him one third off train fares.

Here's another one that really should have been in the episode. That was so natural. It was just perfection.
