I'm a girl and even I know how to change ALL fluids in my car: Antifreeze, Brake Fluid, Power Steering Fluid, Tranny Fluid and at least once per year, OIL. WTF, over? USMC proud.
Used Toyotas are up 37% in the last 30 days. Change the filter in the trans. It sounds like the pump is starving for fluid. A clogged filter can do that. Ive saved a lot of trans with a fluid and filter change. If youre really ambitious retorque the bands.
I’ve definitely noticed. My grandpa asked me to start looking for something three weeks ago. I couldn’t get anything, they all sold so fast. I messaged the guy on this one within 10 minutes of it being posted and I was already 2nd in line! This market needs to rebound asap haha!
@@kylesjunkandprojects216 I have a 96 corolla parts car I got late fall. Im now thinking I should massage it back to life. 132k with a decent interior and a missing cat. I could get about 3-4 k cleaned up and inspected.
That’s what I thought initially, but the noise appears to be coming from the trans and it was 2.5 quarts low on fluid. Steering also doesn’t appear to have an effect on the noise whereas shifting from reverse to drive makes a big difference. I haven’t spent much time with the car and I’m no expert with automatic transmissions so we’ll see lol.
@Kyle’s junk and projects thanks. Sold to a buddy of mine late last year. Then bought a 95 Toyota camry wagon with 85k miles v6 7 seater just sold that a couple weeks ago though. Now im in a 2000 buick lesabre limited with 106k miles. Haven't updated my RUclips in a while 😅. But yea that wagon on my channel. First wagon ever and was the best one!

and not a word from him about what a competent mechanic says about it...
UPDATE! The transmission went on this Camry like 2 weeks after filming. If yours is making that noise, sorry you’re not gonna have a good time.
Did you get Any leaks from the gasket??

@@fixitallpaul4847 I’m you could get that easily. Around here, I’m seeing junk go for that price, and that sounds like a great car!
I had to do one on my 2001 toyota camry not long ago mine was a little difficult since the engine onbmy car is on a slant
That’s such a great engine though, better than this one!
Sounds like more of a powersteering whine. Maybe going out.

Also, love your Camry wagon!
