- Stop Chunking and Topping your Chips with a flatter angle of attack, all made possible by using this New Release. It feels really strange and counter intuitive but works. It’s Amazing!

One of your best; short, simple and tells us what to do without too much of what not to do.
Absolutely agree Bill. That's why Jonathan is so effective. I'm tired of other YT PGA pros spending more time telling us what we are probably doing wrong, rather than giving clear guidence on what we should be trying to do (and why). I've stopped watching several of them because of that.
My take is that most golfers would be surprised at the amount of body movement and ground pressure required in a pro like short game relative to the distance of the shot
But this enable s the arms to be passive stay low and present a stable square clubface
Of the 3 forces in the golf swing lateral rotational vertical, the hardest one for me to get, having taken golf up late in life was vertical
So even in the short game, tho obv its a mini version! you have to press down to swing up get to your left side and press up so the arms go low
If you dont do this you will just lift arms up and chop down
Just as in the full swing if you master vertical forces you will instantly reduce any excessive lateral and rotational forces you have been using to compensate as well as improve your sequencing
Geniales Video und sehr gut erklärt👌🏼👌🏼 habe schon drauf gewartet!
Und die schöne Location 😏😉😁
Viel Spaß noch in Agadir
I want see DL view . Thanks so much !
Excellent video Jonathan this works so good! Would you think same for full swings i.e. extend hands/arms to flatten out swing?
Absolutely
@@JonathanTaylor63 thanks so much Jonathan. I held onto the club so tight that my forearms were always aching! Your videos on releasing the club are a game changer for me! I also had a habit unknown to me that I got grip handle ahead of ball at impact resulting in club face wide open. Should I be concentrating on getting grip level with ball at impact or will proper release look after that?
Regarding clubface, when doing this does it feel like the clubface is square to the arc the whole way or sort of open only closing at impact? I have a tendency to hit short shots with a closed clubface takeaway causing inconsistency.
Let it open up naturally on the backswing. Focus on brushing the grass with the bottom of the club in the arc your body is turning coming through.
In other words, brush the grass with a gentle arc as if you were cutting the grass. You wouldnt cut in straight linear lines with a golf club, it would arc around your body.
Then you just have to get precise with the height you are “cutting the grass”
I think the bottom of the arc is flatter and longer for the pros. Their swing is actually 2 arc. During the downswing the 2nd arc is moved forward. So it’s like 2 low pt of the arc into 1. So is longer and flatter for longer.
I see half a dozen RUclips coaches propose your method of “skidding” the club under the ball in chipping. Then I see another. half dozen propose hitting ball first. Looks like most pga pros hit ball first? My takeaway is the “skidding” method produces fewer number of disaster, 2 foot chunks.
