@@sidhaantrao120 Actually the refil is a bit cheaper than the Copic marker but the point is that you can refil the Copic not once but many times! In detail, Copic says that one of their new refil tube will fill:
x5 Copic Classics
x7 Copic Sketches
x9 Copic Ciaos
x4 Copic Wides
So yeah, don't waste plastic and money, buy refill people! :-D

@@sidhaantrao120 this is so wrong. Not only are you wasting, you are being stupid with your money. Let's say the refills are the same price of a marker, that is still paying more for one marker v.s. a refill because a refill is multiple marker usages. Idk how your comment has any likes
Minori is literally the only RUclipsr that can stop me from procrastinatig and actually do art. It’s so fun to just watch her videos and follow along as you draw/do anything crafty/artsy

Yes!! I was kinda shocked and slightly disappointed tbh when she said she just "threw away" the markers that were out of ink instead of buying ink refills for them 😭 ik she has the money to buy new ones but it is a LOT more cost-efficient buying refills than buying new markers every time it dries out
For sure! I have noticed that if your marker and marker tip are SUPER dry, sometimes the inner reservoir is also too dry to revive, but I've only ever had to throw out 3 markers in my time to issues like that. Refills + nib repair all the way!

She is the only youtuber that makes me do art again and not my regular cutesy style like semi realistic and actually start anime style art
Oh, it's kinda the opposite for me lol. Although I'm kind of a beginner level artist, I focus on realistic art styles but after watching Minori, I'm starting to draw more cute kinda anime styles and my fav part is making the eye. I'm not on colouring stage yet (I don't have any good markers and my Crayola's are mostly dried out. Plus, I forgot my colour pencils in my old house so I don't have colouring pencils as well) but I'm pretty sure I'll have loads of fun colouring the eye!
I'm also starting to do kinda realistic manga styles (Even though I've never read a manga and used to only watch Pokèmon and DBZ as a kid. From 4-8 years old)
@@sameerakhan7455 same I used to watch anime too like naruto and avatar the last air bender but nothing really too much I kinda forgot naruto cuz I watched it like when I was 4 but I used to focus on realistic details and everything but after minori I started drawing anime like my own characters and stuff but the eyes are so satisfying to watch it just gives them life when you color it in
That Schmincke palette is a watercolour one ^^, specifically transparent ones from their professional artist range. They're among the top-tier brands here in Europe, but I think you can easily get by with Hohlbein or Shinhans or some Chinese ones, which are probably a lot cheaper in Japan than European brands are and work just as nicely. I only use Schmincke's, because here in Germany they cost like half the price of other professional brands.
I personally prefer F grade pencils, they're pretty smooth and soft to draw with (great for someone as heavy handed like me), but don't smudge so easily (another great plus for lefties like me).
I got a bunch of those inks as well and use them with G-pens and glass pens. That white is pretty awesome and quite opaque. Just make sure to shake the ink before use because the white pigments seem to be quite heavy and settle down at the bottom of that ink well. And clean your pens after using them, that stuff's almost like white gouache or what we in Germany would call Deckweiß, it basically will clog just about anything ^^'
This store is heaven for me. I hope there's a store like this to where I live. But even if there is, I still can't afford it

I really like how this art store uses samples because at other art stores, like michaels, don’t use samples for their pen, pencil and marker section so some of them are already out of ink when you buy them

I wouldn't normally watch video of some one shopping but the joy in your voice and the information given on various pens etc. makes for compelling viewing .
9:45 Actually those are professional watercolors, but they're so good, that's why they're so expensive! I have my own palette (I bought the pans by themselves) and dang it hurts to see the invoice for them lol
It's interesting to see, that they are so expensive, considering I pay about 4-6€ for a 1/2 Pan and 6-7€ for a full pan here in Germany. $220 seems way to expensive for those watercolours. Even, when they are really really good (I LOVE them! Never using a different brand) I think that's way to expensive even with the case...
@@Aninaya i bought a 36 half pan palette for au $350!!! yes it hurt but man i love my schmincke wc!!! i saved for them, plus had some birthday money to put toward them, plus i can't even remember how i wound up with extra money from a few different places that week and was able to buy my palette but was so stoked to be able to buy it finally and freaking never looked back. really wish i could go on a minori no budget art store shopping spree sometime though, have dreamed of it a couple times.
@@Aninaya another artist from German here :) $220 seems really realistic because they need to be transport to Japan and other countries, similar why Copic Markers cost more in Germany than in Japan
@@Aninaya when I was looking for my dream palette (magenta, warm red, lemon yellow, deep cardimium, ultramarine blue and pthalo blue GS plus some grey tones), the ones that hurt me the most to pay where the ones under the serie 3, which they're quite expensive for a half pan here. But the combo of Daniel Smith (totally recommended if you want to seek a cheaper version), Schmincke, Dr Ph Martin's and Holbein are the most I use for my traditional painting.

Idk dude , I have never used copic markers . So , I don't know how much the refills cost .

@@kellen8116 a bit more than a regular marker. But you can fill up a marker like 5 times with one cartridge. So it's cheaper in the long run.
Exactly my thoughts other Copic artists say it's the #1 marker because of the refill system.

I think the 220$ paint was actually watercolour - full pan by the look of it. I got the Van Gogh Pearl and iridescent watercolour set. It was cheaper but still so gorgeous 🎨💜
