    ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.
Subscribe to Rebecca Vocal Athlete to get inspired by new videos weekly!!
    Have a great day!!

chesters' death was the first time i truly cried as a man over someone that i never met and i've have had broken bones due to all the sports i've played throughout my years... him and his bands' music got me through so much that it felt like i lost someone special in my life. :(

    • @HelloTardis
      @HelloTardis 3 года назад +10

Not crying isn’t an achievement. Chester felt emotions to an extent that led to so many songs we hold dear.
Chester cried on stage Thinking about friends who passed, and sometimes just from sad memories.
Chester would probably tell you to let yourself cry more, OR not be ashamed about crying. We’re all human and Shit hurts sometimes. I don’t care how many “Sports” you’ve played, or how tough you claim to be...you need to Feel, sometimes you need to rage, sometimes you need to CRY....
And that’s okay. I’ve cried anytime I started thinking of his death. I cry when something truly touches me. It has nothing to do with YOU or ME “AS A MAN”.
Fuck that shit. That’s why so many fathers are horrible bastards who fuck their sons up. Because they had that “MEN DONT CRY” bullshit. FUCK THAT.
If you miss Chester, acknowledge your feelings, cause you ONLY live ONE life, and then it’s fucking OVER. So feel that shit when you can....
It’s how you know you’re alive.

@@HelloTardis I acknowledge your take, but it is a bad take. He just said that he cried to the death of a person he never met before. And you are beating him for not crying enough.
I have never cried because of anyones death. The person who was like a second father to me died and I did not shed a tear. I accepted his death, I loved him and I miss him quite often, but I am happy to have met him and my life didn't break down because of his death.
When Chester died I did cry for hours and I am crying almost every time he comes up or I listen to his music. Because he ment so much to my life and his music feels like it comes directly from my heart.
You are not entitled to tell him what to cry about. I am crying quite often, listening to music, watching a sad movie, empathizing with a friend, thinking about the state of humanity. The death of a person has never been something to cry about for me. Either you knew them and are happy you met them or you didn't and it makes less sense to get emotional. Chesters death was the first time I understood why people cry over the death of others. I still wont cry about random casualties I had no personal connection to, but I understand the loss you can feel. I absolutely get what the OP said and it is riddiculous to attack him for it.
And making that riddiculous sexist point is not helping your case. There are a plethora of reasons why there are bad fathers. And most of the reasons are the mothers fault or the fault of the law. Fathers have close to no chances of getting custody or even seeing their children if the mother doesn't allow it. Bad fathers for lack of emotion is like the tiniest of tiny exceptions there is.

I listen to this EVERYDAY!! CHESTER is ....no words. You know. My heart shatters thinking about his pain, but it is a struggle I have been trying to stay away from, and seeing how much the loss of this ineffable man has effected so many countless souls, I feel like I have to be a voice for people who struggle with any mental/emotional health issues. No matter how much you have accomplished, people who love you, or if you are alone, have heavy regrets, no one should ever be so devastated by the fact that is just
to much to imagine that it can get better, you can make it anything that you can imagine but you have to be alive to see that happen.
As with so many famous talents have been a very sad example of, you can have what seems like everything and be surrounded by millions who adore you, and still feel alone and like it is not something that you can get through anymore.
We have lost far too many beautiful people, famous o not, that would have possibly made it through if we were not ashamed of the stigma attached to not being able to handle things like others people seem to.
Everyone is different and we can all be better for admitting that we need to lean on each other.
Suicide is not even close to the answer ever. I am speaking for Myself too, & I have believe that
the path no matter how much pain and suffering we have been through, is not a punishment or a raw deal.
I MUST REPEAT THIS, I HAVE TO
BELIEVE THAT WE ARE ALL GIVEN A PATH THAT MOLDS US INTO THE
PERSON WE ARE MENT TO BE AND TO FULFILL THE PURPOSE INSIDE OF OUR SOULS.
SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER TO EASE THE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING.

I would try to listen to something he was in and just do what we call the “ugly cry”. The day I heard he passed I had an overwhelming feeling that I needed to listen to In The End. I think it affected me so much is because it hadn’t been that long after Chris Cornell passed away and those two well my teen years were those two.
