Airfix 1/72 Boulton Paul Defiant Mk1 Build Review

In this weeks video I am going to be build reviewing the Airfix 1/72 Boulton Paul Defiant Mk1
This is a model of the Uk's only turret fighter during WW2 though its effectiveness in this role is often debated as as a day fighter it did not do too well, but when used for night fighting did very well against bombers attacking London during the Blitz
I found the kit easy and pleasant to build with only a few minor hang ups, one been the delicate gun turret and the large amount of carrier film on the two side decals

It wasnt the only UK turret fighter,there was the Blackburn Roc as well.Well tidy build.

I Stand corrected ,I just looked them up, you know I have never seen a Blackburn Roc, looks like quite a nice scheme to paint Fleet air arm had them, thanks for the Rabbit hole And thanks mate :)

I had to go away and research the Boulton Paul Defiant. I will say "interesting". It doesn't exactly get a glowing report.

Its an interesting plane,but yeah not a glowing report strange though that it did quite well with the first people that got it.Some people think it was the role it was made to perform
