I was thinking of adding a magic mod, but most of them tend to get pretty OP, and I wanted Ice and Fire to be a challenge. I’m happy you agree with the rest tho!
@@yaboysneak I have a very similar modpack. You can try electroblob's wizardry with Ancient Spellcraft. The only problem is that you would need to manually disable all OP spells and balance out the mod a bit

As an aid to exploration and in keeping with the spirit of the mod, antique atlas would probably be perfect rather than a minimap mod. The trouble I always had with exploration in Minecraft was that it was difficult to know where you were since vanilla maps are so bad. Waystones is also not a bad idea either.
@@yaboysneakIf you do you should add a mod that makes redstone tech feel like magic. Not that it changes how it functions, just gives it a magical style and aesthetic so we can jump into it and feel like wizards or alchemists using the same redstone mechanics we already know.
Just a note for anyone who wants to run a server with this: unfortunately the 1.12.2 Epic Knights backport is NOT multiplayer compatible. My group played a pack similar to this and found this out the hard way. As an alternative I'd recommend "Armor Souls: Reforged" if you want to run something like this in MP. Thats what we used as a substitute and it worked well enough.
I think the accepted lore makes sense as to why they didn't add more. Many players believe that the Ender Dragon is the last dragon and is worshipped as a god by The Enderman as the last dragon. That would explain why the dragon lives on a island separated from all the cities. It was also explain why there are healing crystals near the dragon at all times and why there is a inbuilt contingency plan for resurrecting the dragon from a single egg in the event the dragon dies.

I wanted to come back, after a couple months to explain my experience. This mod pack has actually made me play minecraft for longer than two weeks, my game has been going on for a solid month and a half.
