What a great video, so much information that is translatable to many types of images. Do you ever turn a picture itself into a texture by using some kind of smudge tool? I think its the colors and light one is after. I have seen something like that but it was too vague and would love to learn. You are probably the best person tom ask. .....ps I have been binge watching your entire channel several times. Thank you!
I like your technique very much. I'm just curious as to why you are working destructively; instead of creating a new layer for the brush effect. So, if you change your mind later you can return to that layer and make additional edits. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

That’s a good point. I often do the brush on a separate layer.
