Phew Bill ,I have just done my en suite and fitted everything myself
and I have done the vanity the correct way you have just shown us !
Thanks Biil great video thumbs up :)
I told my wife I can do the ensuite for about $3000, she laughed saying more like $10,000 !
I gutted the ensuite myself, bought all new fittings and parts either on market place,eBay,gumtree and Bunnings.
Subcontracted the tiling and waterproofing for $2200
I Painted, Wallpapered and fitted the shower base, shower, toilet, mirror, vanity and new towel racks.
It came just over $3200 Whose laughing now ! It looks fabo and fresh,it all came together beautifully !
I am not a tradie, just someone who will have a go at anything plus a tight arse, who spend money HaHaHa

That looks ridiculously easy. 2 questions - 1) Do you just use a masonry drill bit to go through the wood and then tile? 2). What would happen if something went wrong with the mixer…would you need to break the silicon seals to remove the vanity top. Honestly I feel like I want to change mine now and you make it look easy - until I do it 😂😂. I once changed the vanity hose underneath as the old one split and water spewed everywhere - it was a chore and a half…but I didn’t need a plumber 😂😂. Would you consider doing another video of this sometime only because I missed a bit of the tap work with the head camera….OR…a great idea you could come and do mine and film it - we’re in Sydney metro too 😊. Your videos are honestly valuable to so many

Video idea: how to fix a sagging roof aircon vent (the 4-way Evaporative grille type). Probably a pretty easy one for you but something I haven’t done and wouldn’t mind knowing how 😅 (replacing the clips I think)

    • @billshowto

I marked out the back location for the floor waste and measured the distance to the center of it ( in the video ). Simply transfer the measurements to the base and drill out. 👍👍

Big tip, when you unscrew the trap and stand up, don’t revert to muscle memory and tip it down the sink. I’ve only done this three times…

Hey bill love your videos, about to remove my bathroom vanity - can I ask when I unscrew my water fittings do I need to cap them off or anything in case I need to turn the main water valve on from the outside? Asking because the reno is gonna be over a few days so it’s likely I’ll turn the water mains on and come back next day to resume work.

I’m not a plumber, and I couldn’t really see what you installed, but you are supposed to replace that old S trap with a P trap. S traps aren’t to code anymore. (Not sure if that’s USA only, or whatnot.)

Hi, the pvc pipes could be different as one may be standard pvc piping whilst the other is pressure pipe. As for the tap, could be that the tap washer has jammed against the seat. Replace the washer 👍

Do you need to worry about abspestos with something like this? Or shouldn't be any in the wall where you drill the holes?
