I picked up this tip a few years back from a friend and it's awesome. I like the way you explained everything in the video and that you actually had a shower that needed this treatment. Thanks for sharing!
I tried this yesterday and it worked brilliantly! Thanks Bill
You're a lifesaver Bill. This is an excellent video. Your advice is practical and so easy to follow.
Thank you so much Bill! Awesome hack! Can't wait to do this ☺️
Really good tip. Thanks Bill!
So simple! Going to give this a go today. Thanks so much
I love this bloke! Cheers Bill!
Sir I'm amazed with the result.
I've been struggling how to clean this area... I'll try this out! 👌🏼
Magnificent hack. Nice work Bill .... subscribed...👍
Incredible. Will be using this for sure!
Mate, for years I’ve been trying to find a solution for this,.. and had almost given up and about to call someone to remove and reseal it again. This hack worked and it looks brand new again! Fucking love it man!!! You da man!!
You’re very welcome 👍👍👍
What a great hack. Cheers Bill. :)
I swear your videos are so therapeutic
Great hack Bill! Thanks!!!
Wow! This very helpful. Amazing bill! Thanks!

Brilliant idea, brilliant results. Thank you Bill.

Amazing! I didn’t think it was possible to get mould out of silicone! I’ll be trying this
Amazing. Certainly one useful for our bathroom. Thanks for sharing this excellent tip.
You’re welcome 👍
Love it - absolutely fantastic. Thanks Bill, you rock
Thank you, Bill. This is a bane in my shower. This excellent idea is a massive time saver (and elbow grease, which does run low with age lol).
Lol, you’re very welcome 👍
Nice one, thanks Bill 👍
You’re brilliant!
Wow. This is amazing!
Thanks.. Great video... I'm going to try this.
Fantastic I was going to remove and put down new caulk!
Thank you Bill. I love using bleach to clean with, but can never get my silicone completely clean. Now your sausage tissue technique is genius. Massive thank you.
That's so lovely.... The bleach can do amazing job... Thanks for your tips of video clips
Fantastic hack 😳 WOW
Perfect tip at a perfect time for me, thanks as always Bill for another great tip. 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
This works very, very well.
Wow!!!! I gotta try this when I get home, hopefully this works, I’ve tried so many mold cleaners and none of them work.
Thanks Bill going to give a try.
👍
The Silicone looks brand new but some of the Tiles on the Floor re still cracked.... good Job..thumbs up!
going to do this over the Christmas holiday !
Great tip mate, appreciate 👍
👍
Bleach should not be used on silicone sealant as it will damage it over time. A better alternative is to use oxygen bleach powder mixed with water (laundry in-wash booster like Napisan or similar). This kills the mould but won't damage the silicone or grout.
So selleys shower cleaner bleach is not good to actually clean showers?!
Wow...thanks so much for your help..👍😊
👍
That’s a good idea bill👍👍👍👍
👍
Brilliant thank you
i literally said "NO WAY" when u removed the tissues. It looks so shiny white and new. Awesome vid ay
Literally! Well you weren't going to say "NO WAY" figuratively 🙄
Nice informative video. Thank you. Can you please upload a video on how to fill hinge holes or lock holes in door frame and the door itself. Some people on RUclips call it a Dutchman repair method. I will be very thankful and grateful. I love internet because of very helpful people like yourself who share loads of your knowledge and information with all of us. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
I use filler. Fill the hole, sand to level off, then paint over.
Hey Bill. I just used this hack today. Worked perfectly!!!!! I could not believe it. Normally I am in my hands and knees scrubbing with a brush and gassing myself in the process. Today I rolled up my paper towel - I used straight bleach (mine was not as strong as yours) sprayed it on and left it for an hour. Went in fully expecting to still have to do some scrubbing. And nothing! Simply picked up the paper towel and I was done. Super white, no sign of mould, no scrubbing. AWESOME!!! Thx heaps Bill.
It’s an awesome hack, glad I could help you👍
How strong is the bleach Bill's using?
But doesn't this errode the silicon and cause water to leak into the floor? Thats what happened to me last time I tried using bleach to clean shower caulk
Wow !!!
The time I’ve spent over the yrs scrubbing old caulked w bleach and toothbrush I’ve never had such a good result as your method. T. You.
I love all your tips!
I’m a DIY kinda Gal.
In fact 30 ish yrs ago while dating a contractor whom taught me many things about the basics.
I quickly realized I was just as capable as he, with exception too extremely heavy lifting.
As a woman it’s wonderful

Holly molly 🤭 gonna try this out thanks a bunch
Amazing trying this tomorrow
Amazing!
You are a legend
The Paper towel trick is the best! I think i left a comment on your other video about doing it like this. So awesome hey!
I first found this trick from some very shocking video of an old dude doing it in england haha This is much better quality ;) lol
I remember that one. I saw the exact same video and used it so many times!
Awesome!!!
Thank you. I have used bleached before but normally used old washcloths in stead of paper towels. Will definitely use paper towel in future. The great thing about using bleach is that it remains mold free for months. It seems to kill off the mold spores.
Thank you so much the method is the best so easy and cheap to do……is there any maintence I need to do like once a month or once every few months to stop it from coming back? I was thinking of drenching the area of vinegar and maybe use exit mould once every few months
What a result! Ques what if just sprayed alot of bleach into the affected areas and no paper towels. Wouldn't that achieve the same result the next morning?
brilliant!!
thanks dude , love it , youre an absolute champ.....is there a superior bathroom sealant...selleys white for life one goes mouldy........
Good work
Using tissue paper is a new idea,I think this will help more than just bleach liquid alone ,thank you so much
👍
Played mate! 👏👍👌
Freaking unbelievable! Worked like a charm. Thanks Bill
👍
wow nice!!!
Great hack but can you use bleach gel product without the paper towel?
1 part water to 1 part bleach. Awesome
That's really the best way to do it, but the exact way you do it is a little wasteful, toilet paper is better, you can make longer sausages and need less liquid to soak it, I also use concentrated vinegar or vinegar essence, don't know how it's called correctly in english, but this method is so damn useful in so many cases, basically everywhere where the liquid can run down or need to stay for a while and would simply dry, like the yellow stripe that occurs after a while in the toilet, no matter how often I clean it, I dry what I want to clean first, then I wet it with vinegar so the toilet paper sticks to it and then I soak it, let it do its job over night and the next day just wash it off and everything looks like brand new.
Can we use white vinegar instead of 1:1 water/bleach? Would that be equally effective?
Out of curiosity, what type of spray bottle are you using? It seemed very efficient. We're about to move so I have been mainlining your videos to get out rental back in good condition (as well as we can for such a dodgey old house LOL)
Why Bill? What have I done to you? Now I have to do it.
Hahahaha awsome video thank you Sir
👍
Can you use this same method on grout?
Could I use this on the silicone caulk applied to a quartz kitchen countertop? Asking as was told not to use bleach on a quarz countertop but would be using on the caulk only?
Hi Bill I just came across your Channel very good tip all that is very handy and it's so funny do you have your toilet in a shower stall or a closet? Lol xD
is it safe to do this on bath tubs?
and how long is it safe to leave it on to soak and eliminate the mold for?
Thats amazing
I love you you are the best
Will it work for dirty grout between tiles?
Best tip ever. Can you use this method on grout??
It is about dirty mouldy grout! 😜
@TinekeWilliams no, it is about silicone. Totally different product. But, yes, you can. 😊
@ carpm8 Thanks for sharing above of your great idea.
The bleach doesn't dissolve the silicone I'm assuming? Seems like bleach would be too acidic for silicate?
A man who just eliminated a whole civilization of mold who used to live there
Nice hack... would this work on grout as well?
Use flash bleach spray leave for 15mins then rinse off. Or if really bad ,go over grout with toothbrush after spraying, then rinse.
Used Clorox + Water. Still works like a charm!
Thank you very much. Glad I could help👍
Awesome hack! Will it work for white silicone that has yellowed too?
Sure will👍
Link to get this sprayer?
Problem is sometimes as a residential cleaner, we can't leave it over night
PLS what is the mixture or liquid 🙏
Bill have you hear of the term "Gutter Stomping"?
Wowwwww
Hi bill, what's the benefit of this method over say, squirting some domestic etc on it without the paper? Is it that the paper will keep the bleach in one spot rather than it running off?
Had the same ques....
Wow: watching this halfway through back breaking work removing and scraping the mould affected silicon: I just hope this works. I will come back and let you know.
Thanks in advance Bill.
did it work???
Yup. It worked for me. I’m not whocant though.
Except he never came back to us know...
Ya see.... the thing about mold and fungi, is that it is constantly off-gassing microscopic spores that travel through the air and stick to everything. Then those spores cling to damp surfaces that remain wet, like silicon in shower stalls and any other place water pools or beads. What I'm saying is that dying mold white with bleach isn't solving anything but the esthetic look of the place temporarily. You actually need to hose the whole place down in bleach or some other heavy duty anti-microbial chemical to keep the whole place from turning black and smelling like rotting anus. Plus as a side note: just put a fan in there, dry it out after use and peel the old silicone off, then recalk the tub or shower stall. Costs pennies and then you don't have bleach-dyed moldy silicon in your bathroom. Proper ventilation is the long term answer, run a low wattage fan year round in damp spaces (after sterilization to kill all mold spores) and you will quit growing a stinking science experiment that poisons your life.
Good point. We breathe in the mold and fungi we can’t see with each shower. You’ve inspired me to recaulk!
🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏👏 Thank you! You know your stuff.... Family in the tiling and silicone industry a million years and this video got me like 😳🤔🤦♀️ just cbf leaving a comment.
I think this page is great and I have definitely used it a few times for other things which were handy........ this video is just a bit off the mark this time.
Anyway, Good explanation 👍👍👍
@@kimariokiji don't forget your bucket of water, dishwashing liquid and popstick! Only essentials required... 😆😆😆 very high tech tools for silicone work 😆😆😆😆
K Vlad, thank you. I wondered if anyone was going to bring that up. Our upstairs shower is small and quite moldy. I’ve tried scrubbing, using mold removal sprays, everything except removing the silicone and replacing it. Just hope my arthritic knees and hips can handle the job.
I applied bleach-soaked cotton 2 days ago, rewetting it as needed. It’s diminished, but still there 🙁
Well, that does it. Now I am compelled to address the brown-tinged caulk in the shower just to test this method.
I left mine for 8 hours and it didn't lift the mould, all it did was make the silicone crumbly. What could I have done wrong? I followed 1:1 with paper towel...
You're probably the only person who has actually tried it before writing a comment.
This is awesome but please remember when working with mold and bleach it may look really good but all you have effectively done is bleach the color out of the mold. So good quick fix but keep in mind to get it done properly it needs to be removed, cleaned and recaulked!
Doesn't bleach kill mould?
I'd try this but then my wife will find something else to complain about. Thanks anyways though.. great tip..
Lol, I’ll make sure to keep the videos coming to keep you busy👍
No way!!!
The recipe please !! i dont understand!! half of what or water or bleach ????
Half water half bleach 50/50 ratio 👍
Is that a toilet inside of a closet? Lol xD
Doesn't this literally just bleach the mould? Not remove it. But being bleached the danger is still there just not visible, and its stressed enough to release its mycotixins...?
What's that spray??? Pls reply
Equal part of bleach and water
The bleach also damages the silicone...
Instead of using tissue paper, Melania suggests using tampons
