So, I'm a weird person who pauses to answer questions if asked. More than likely that kid knew a dude who did tatts on the side. Before becoming an Author, back in the 90's I used to do tattoos for gangbangers, and that was with a needle & thread just poking away. So, it's possible he could be a walking billboard getting them for half or free to bring others in to pay full price. Allright back to the video.
Happy Super Month! 👩🏿🦰
The most unbelievable part of this movie was that the government did anything to quarantine the sick population *and* air dropped supplies and clear instructions.
I mean half the government tried blame the south
You think they won't shove the infected masses into quarantine cells/camps to trap them and unintentionally create a deathtrap of infection?
We need to get politicians like Roosevelt and Lincoln again. If only our head of command were competent. Which hasn’t seem to been the normal for the past 20 years
I mean Biden would've tried to do something like this... Trump would've refused to wear basic protective gear, and talked about injecting bleach to fight it lol.
@@dijonjohn1011 It wouldn’t have been Biden, it would have been the other democrat politicians. Biden can’t really think for himself anymore man. It’s sad tbh. Poor guy needs to be in a care home relaxing in his last years with friends and family, not parades around the country as a talking head when he clearly isn’t well
So, just as I assumed, it’s actually a parasite, I thought as much once they showed a literal worm under a microscope, instead of a virus. Oh and the black spaghetti sprouting from peoples faces was also a dead giveaway.
what if a viral infection mutated adn used the wormy things to get into a human body then use both the worm and viral infection to convert humans to bigger thing ?

My mother was a nurse, and I helped her study while she was going for her certs. (Incidentally, getting your preteen to help you study for medical certifications leaves them with some very interesting aftereffects.) I am *pathological* about getting bodily fluids off me. Human bodies create a truly horrifying array of incredibly disgusting substances and blood is both the least disgusting and one of the most dangerous, so warm +wet + not mine = GET IT OFF.
It makes movies like this baffling, sometimes. People in them act like they've never heard of basic precautions. Rule#1: If any part of them is oozing and should not be, then perhaps you should wait until they've recovered before you get intimate with them. If you like the smell of cat urine, maybe. Talk to a doctor.
the human body has decent protection against things as well, and a parasite just can't come out from no where right? the cat would have to get it from an infected source and assuming yours were kept clean and such, probably ok

Yeah, whenever I see a worm, and it’s in a person? My first thought is that it’s some kind of parasite, as single celled organisms aren’t usually capable of morphing into multi-cellular ones, as far as I know. I really like the science parts of your videos though, Roanoke! They’re very fun to listen to.
Don't all multicellular organisms start from a single cell?
@@infernaldaedra Yes but no, while it is true that all multicellular organisms begin as a single cell. They cannot support themselves in that status, and require nutrients to split into more and more cells. A singular cell organism only divides when it has reached a certain mass and then produces a copy which is its own organism. Multi-cells specialize into different cells to support a more complex set of functions, single cells are an all-in-one package with organelles operating within them.

Just to be clear man, that "lack of parasites is making allergies worse" thing is pretty damn tenuous at current, I wouldn't call it more than a hypothesis since only one parasite has been shown to, once introduced, mitigate allergies
A lot of the reasons why allergies are getting worse probably is more the fact people don't expose their babies to allergenic substances, like peanut butter, though who knows, life is complex as hell.
agreed, and even then I personally would rather suffer allergies than have my body's hard work and effort be leeched off of by some freeloading worm. Off topic, but has anyone else noticed how Horror games have some of the best, most chill and vibable music sometimes? Like, Resident Evil has almost all the Save Room themes plus the Merchant in 4, Silent Hill has some amazingly chill (and Liminal) tracks for a game series that's essentially about being stuck in a VERY personally tailored Purgatory/Hell, Lost in Vivo has tracks like Broken and Into the Mine.
I know right? I think its all about pacing, usually that chill music is played in safe areas. Pacing i think is very important in horror, if you have tension cranked up to 11 at all times you get burnt out. One reason I like DeadSpace 2 more than 1 is because the pacing is more balanced.
@@primeEmu16 That's probably it, but even games like RE5, 6, and Dead Space 3 have great or good music despite not being "good" Resident Evil or Dead Space games (Six and Five are still pretty good games IMO, just not good Resident Evils). Im not usually affected by gore and such but the worm being pulled out made rather uncomfortable but overall great video i love playing games and just listening to these videos keep up the good work sir
These worms remind me of the heart and lung worms you sometimes see in marine animals the literally suffocate the host by making tons of them
Hoi up heart worms??
Love the vids! If you want to go slowly insane trying to rationalize messed up, borderline cronenberg beings, look up little nightmares.
Ah this movie, watched it as a brain fog addled senior and had no clue what I watched, I watched it again recently and still had no clue.
Please don't stop the movie breakdowns, just too hilarious.
25:40 Roanoke's parasite taking over to tell us how important it is to have parasites. My favorite part of his videos :D
I always thought the title of the movie was a clever nod to the misinformation that is generally spread during pandemics, and the fact they were not actively keeping people within the loop and everyone getting bad information making the situation spread to what it became.
I’m glad I searched you. I haven’t noticed any uploads in awhile from you, looks like RUclips unsubscribed me completely. Gotta love it.
I'm interested in the lore and science of these movies, but I don't have the patience to watch most of them so I love the overviews.
Roanoke would you do an SCP? Would you break down “The Bone Hive”?
Listening to your points about the ‘hive’ these creature make I’d love to hear the more scientific take on the SCP!
I listened, I didn’t watch. You mentioned Botflies and the tripeaphobe in me was too creeped out to look after hearing that 😂
I miss the before times
which ones
@@RoanokeGaming before the rona , truly human stupidity at its peak.

I'll be honest i don't think i've seen any of your gaming videos but your explained ones really entertain me through work
Is it just me: Or is it really weird that a ton of movies about contagions and wearing your mask came out RIGHT before Corona....
I steal your parasites calming our immune system bit all the time. Its sent me down many rabbit holes. Prob a non answerable question but what parasites COULD the body use medically to possibly help with certain immune issues and viruses? Not that Im going off an experimenting but just curious if youve ever thought about it.
Listen to "this podcast will kill you" and their parasite/tapeworm episodes! They talk about the lowered inflammation that certain parasitic worms give people, and how it may prevent Crohn's/IBD/IBS
@@mydogisoscarthegrouch I wonder if there is some venom or hormone that can be fabricated from them. I'll look for that, thanks
His "We need parasites" argument is actually nonsense though. The origin of allergies is a lot more complicated than "we dont have enough parasites anymore.
Yes they do surpress the immune system, but we have other means to do that. Healthier ones too
@@Bullshitvol2 don't think he ever said need
@@Bullshitvol2 like what?
Would love to see you cover mutants chronicle 2008 its effects are sub par but an overall great movie
I appreciate your videos, sir. I sometimes have nightmares, but they are not enough to deter me. Thank you for all you do. 😁
That Resident Evil menu music in the beginning! My ears are in bliss
I'm surprised everyone seems to be glossing over the fact that he said he disected cats in school... that just horrorfying! Yeah, that's totally not a staging area for a kid with mental issues that might seem interested in harming small animals.
Generally, harming domestic animals like cats and dogs is a bad sign to me since one of the reasons we love them so much is that they are "cute". They resemble babies.
If you can't have some sympathy for something that resembles a human baby and would willingly hurt it then I would probably stay away from that person.
@@LadyAsteria58 You know most ppl like these become doctors and surgeons right?
my best friend had open heart surgery done by his own father (a surgeon). Split his kids rib cage apart to close a atrial septal defect. 😅
It's dead tho ?
@@skepticalmagos_101 I didn't know people who mutilate domestic animals become surgeons. Sounds worrying.
Urgh, yeah, we had to dissect cats at my school too. 😔 I guess the rationale was “they’re already killed by animal control so we might as well use them” or “they’re mammals like us so it’s better for learning” but I’m so glad I didn’t own a cat back then. I wouldn’t be able to see the dead animal on the table without imagining my precious kitty & squirming with nausea.
I was figuring that it was a offshoot of those worms that infect crickets. You should know these Roanoke as these worms they drive the cricket's toward water and will exit the host through the abdomen.
@Vixen Lunastra yes, also known as horse hair worms.
Yes I was thinking of hair worms.
I also directed a cat and a pig in high school. We also had the option to go to a cadaver lab off campus in a hospital. It was pretty cool, learned a lot.
Finally, I was waiting for you to do this one for over a year!
