I absolutely love this pedal, it’s the only chorus I’ve used that sounded killer on a bass. It’ll keep the low end even with a 5 string and two drives

If you looked at the chorus sound as a bunch of sine waves, the lag would be shifting the waves out of unity just enough to create a vibrato/echo effect in addition to thickening the sound... well, that would be my best explanation, lol.

Actually, I'm not a huge fan of top jacks. It causes crowding with power cable and some patch cables won't work because they hit the power cable. Worst however is power jack on side next to side jack.

Lag sounds like it lets you control the amount of pitch offset between the two voices of the chorus effect.
I think it's inspired after The Beatles' song, because of the art, by the way, I enjoy it, because it's figurative for 'ocean child' verse in the song 'Julia', and also, 'the Walrus was Paul'. Nice demo, I really enjoy your playing and thorough testing!
Kosmo Music you just blew my mind with that. I wonder if there are any more Beatle references in their stuff. Fathom has a submarine on the pedal and I think it's supposed to be looking for Julia.
It’s actually named after a mysterious sound known as “Julia” recorded beneath the ocean’s surface in 1999. Due to it being unexplained there’s a lot of sea monster imagery associated with it. Not to say the scientists didn’t get the name from the Beatles though.

Though the new features are cool and I really wish all my pedals were too Jack's. I already have a v1 though and I dont think the new features justify buying the v1. With a v2 out the used price for the v1 will drop and it's just not worth the extra money. If they added tap tempo to set the rate and allowed a second rate on top of the first to get some really whacky tones I'd definitely buy it.

dude i got a Supro chorus that im returning because of the hard click. and its really loud.
plus the toggle switch sounds like a Galaga explosion whenever you switch to vibrato. The dude at Supro of course said wrll thats just because its analog. Ok well, i saw a Luna edition Kulia with a spaceman standing on his ship as the art. so im gonna go for it. Kulia....haha. Sorry Julia
Is their a major difference from the original I’m considering buying one but not sure to get v1 or v2??
AStepUpForSquare from my understanding the only difference with the V2 is the top jacks, graphic on the front, and the soft switch

The knobs and switch are also placed farther apart from each other. No more having your foot hitting a knob instead of the switch in the middle of a gig. Subtle change.

2:06 looks like there's a quite a big bump on volume level with the pedal on...I'm I right?
Sounds like it's hitting the mic freqs he's got set-up, gives the impression that it's cutting/louder
I can't make sense of this lag control. Feels like a delay of some kind?
It shouldnt matter with the inputs, but it kinda does. Its a shame too. I wish it didnt matter and pedals could be more original but come on. its a pain in the ass to switch pedals out on the board to try new stuff when you got something like a zvex just being a rebel for no reason. Zvex makes amazing pedals though. instant Lofi Junkie ended up being on my board instead of the julia (and its the old horizontal pedalboard breaking oreintation one too, it taught me why top inputs matter), but this pedal still intrigues me a bunch.
Top Jacks are best.

Monarch99 99 I think so. They really needed give much of a reason for people who already have the v1 to switch in my opinion
