I'm smitten, this is everything I want a fuzz pedal to be. Nasty splatty velcro ripping fun, grating octaves and full blown end of the world heavy distortion. And thats just the range of the voltage control. On top of that versatility theres also five different clipping options. This pedal deserves a slow clap.

Best review I've seen of this pedal so far. Every other one kept it too tame, and played nothing but dad-rock riffs through it. Thank you for breaking out the baritone for us doomers
Dad-Rock=Man Cock
Quite possibly the most versatile fuzz pedal I’ve seen, this thing is amazing.
don't forget about the obne haunt and fuzzhugger algal bloom ! both very versatile as well
@@oldnewbicycle Gonna have to check them out!
I spent over 31 minutes watching this video, waiting to hear what the pedal sounded like on low gain settings. The gain knob went below 12 o'clock to 10:30 twice for approximately 12 seconds total. I was yelling at the TV for Ryan to twist the gain knob, apparently he is deaf. After much searching, I finally found a review where the reviewer reviewed all 5 modes with the gain turned all the way down. Turns out the pedal sounds fantastic at lower distortion levels. The germanium mode sounded best for that reviewer. I would never had known from watching this video.
Ryan, why must you make me spend money 🤣 this puts me over $2000 I've spent on fuzz pedals since I started down the fuzz rabbit hole. This is killer!
Very interesting and fun. Top 3 (or 5) fuzzes you would have to cut it down to and live with forever after? Let's assume Fat Fuzz Factory is already a part of the equation.
@@Tiger1016. would u say this, the silt and fuzz factory 7 is where its at?
This review really helped me to make that final decision to purchase. I think if one is curious about what fuzz pedal to buy... get this one first because it's has all of them! (pretty much). And then maybe just stick with this one anyway, because it has ALL of them. I run a J-Archer overdrive into mine with a minimal gain setting, it sweetens the overall top end. 😎 👌
I was a bit off because the circuit is pretty much 3 transistors (fuzz-face like) and I'm a big muff dude... but you proved me that doesn't matter! This can achieve (almost) any fuzz sound you want.
It plays inspector gadget. I’m sold.
Their Eras and Ages pedals are incredible. Can't wait to grab one of these!
i think the black mat really pulls the whole thing together.
I purchased this pedal a few days ago and then saw this video. It totally got me stoked for the peddle. It arrived today and it is everything this video touts and even more. Thank you Ryan for another funny and awesome video.
I have the Walrus Eras, it’s their distortion pedal with this Layout. It’s pretty fun. This one looks really Fun.
Great, now I want another fuzz pedal, AND a baritone guitar. Amazing video man, keep up the good work!
Bloody hell Ryan and walrus, now I gotta buy that ! Sounds amazing 😂😂😂
29:57 I think you’ve got a hit there. So glad I watched until the end!
Amasing pedal and you are such a fun guy. Very different guitar player in a good way. Your guitar collection really complements your playing. Keep up the good work!!
We love the Eras and Ages. This beast sounds nothing short of killer!
@UC5ACGpJcxcLK9l9uQjatf-A more spam 😂
I went and bought this pedal. I noticed right away it performs very well with some amps , while others it is not so good.
Simply Magnificent !
These Walrus "time" pedals have all been most impressive.
Sounds amazing - love the doom feedback!
There were moments with the Baritone on Mode V that sounded like a dimed HM-2, Swedish Death Metal style. Awesome fuzz.
Funny story, I've been using the eons with one of my bands and had the thought a few weeks back to try the hm-2 instead. So I did a quick comparison and realized i keep the eons dialed in to sound almost exactly like an hm-2 lol. The gain character is a little different but the eq was spot on. Both are excellent pedals.
I literally just got a Keeley Moon a couple days ago because of your video review, and now you drop this awesomeness on me. I see my newly growing fuzz pedal collection +1'ing soon. 😂
I’m honestly impressed you made it through this whole video without dropping a single “F*CK!”
Love it! Crunchy Goodness :) 😎🤘🏻
I always come here to hope and find affordable AAA gear, i heard Walrus Audio and i knew better but i checked link anyways, its $200+ new. I guess ill add it to my wish list to find used haha.
i always love a drive pedal with a bias/voltage/starve function. I've had a couple Fuzz Factorys but they were always a bit too unreliable with my live setup, switched to a Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise that does a similar thing, and I loooove my Smallsound/Bigsound Mini that's like a weird mix of a "transparent overdrive" with the ability to use the bias control to get a gritty, textural overdriven sound. the second i saw a voltage control on this it immediately piqued my interest. and the sheer versatility of this woud make it a great tool for studio and session work too.
definitely gonna be one to check out in the future!
If you appreciate the Unpleasant Surprise, check out the ~900 for the other side of the equation. IMO, it's one of the best new Fuzzes available, and beats the U.S in actual applications.
The Fuzz Factories are, alas, best left in controlled environments like home & studio, though the Fat version IS the best single Fuzz I've ever played.I actually tried several ways to keep it at a constant temperature ( that all proved impractical.)Try the Ramble FX Twin Bender for similar Germanium goodness.
Tried it,took it back and got the Hizumatas.EQDhas a new boost, fuzz, octave Sunn O pedal.
The boxes I have correspond to how the diodes work here. Silicone is almost always the winner. Great sounds !
I don't have a fuzz pedal because I've never really needed one for what I play, but if/when I get one this will probably be what I get. Don't think I'd need any other fuzz. Sounds like everything is pretty much covered. Great demo! Oh, and the black background really works with that pedal. Good call 👍
I'd love to hear the boomy bassy settings compared to the keeley Moon fuzz.
Thank you for great review! I can see the JPTR Warlow pedal behind you, how it comparing to Walrus Eons?
Hahahah LOVED the 8-bit of the spin doctors. I had to check of I was subscribed I was, but if I wasn't that comment would of
Great and genuine review! You just sold a shit ton of these.
5 min in I knew. Scared to see the toll, but going to buy it anyway.
Thanks Ryan!
I'm having a hard time deciding which fuzz to go for. This one seems to cover more than most pedals do.
I finally received mine. Your pedal helped me settle on this pedal, and I absolutely love it! To many sounds for me though. Ill need at least 2 more of these on my board.
Yes!
Dear Lord...subscribed
This sounds f***ing GREAT! I can wait for them to hit the used market!
I know I'm a year late, but damn, this thang sounds filthy. I really wanna boost one to see if I can make it chug. Someone remind me in a month to buy one. XD
Journey to the Center….of Guitar Center! Gnarly …
love your reviews! so many good moments as you experiment with this new pedal. this fuzz sounds funnnn! \m/\m/
Love it! Nice rip effect! I had a fuzz that sounded like that a few years ago. Very nice tone options!
Came for the fuzz, stayed for the faces.
i just came
Next fuzz purchase for sure!
Seems like a lot of pedal companies are now doing the multi-mode options knob thing like JHS and their Muffuletta, Bonsai and Rat Pack pedals. Interesting.
This is a good video, Mr. Hum.
That was awesomely brutal! I need this pedal!
Great demo. I am on the search for the holy grail of fuzz tones, this may well be what I've been looking for! Not cheap though, it's about £235 in the UK, I might have to wait until the sales. That face when you get just the right amount of grit, buzz and growl.
Love that sound!
Sounds as wicked as it looks. Wonder how good this thing will be on bass.
Dude, you made me buy the Keeley Moon. I think you’ve gone and done it again.
Sounds great!
Would you say this would be a good fit for a praise & worship board?
Have you ever taken a Skittle and put it in a balloon, blown it up and spun the Skittle inside? There are tones that sound like a Skittle in a balloon.
instant buy!
DANG! I NEED ONE
If I was in the market for one, this is the one I would consider alongside the Maestro.
Maybe this is blasphemy but I am missing a dry/wet knob, that would've made it more usable for synths.
Thanks for the review. Check out the DOD Carcosa Fuzz and Way Huge Smalls Pickle... Great tones from each too!
Meh 👎
Carcosa is on the board, along with Kingtone Mini Fuzz Si, JHS Muffletta, Tru-fi Colordriver, and JHS Colour Box v2. Might be grabbing this Walrus, sounds killer
@@dcthegreatest24 Some great pedal choices. Walrus are making some great pedals. I have the Walrus Ironhorse. Check out some Tsakalis Audioworks and Keeley pedals eg Filaments too. Some quality tones.
Very nice but way too overpriced fuzz pedals
He's got a Carcosa - he did a demo of it. I LOVE mine but this could give it a run for its money I think...
You’re a bad influence! Ordered this 5 minutes after listening to those fat tones. Crazy.
Rams Head
If this thing had parametric mids like Big Muff Deluxe, it would be the most versatile fuzz on the planet...
Wow, that thing is bad ass. Do we know if it can do the swell effect which is found on Prescription Experiences Octa fuzz? Or some thing similar wherein each note swells/fades in
this pedal has got my attention, time to pick this one up and dump my Earthquaker pedals
NO ONE demos a Fuzz better than you. Other pedals 🤔☹ But a Fuzz 😊
That was great😊
Damn it. Am I seriously buying ANOTHER fuzz?!?
I think I have 5 lol this might be next
"Oooh, voltage!"
Great, just got a Hoof Reaper 2 weeks ago and now I find this. Whyyyyy
How about the Blackout Effectors Fix'd Fuzz? It's an older pedal, but it's always been my dream fuzz.
Very cool demo - dammit another fuzz I have to try out...
seems like it'd be fun for an hour, then you'd dial in your preferred sound and leave it there just like any other fuzz
I've had this thought about the JHS Bonsai. It'd be fun to figure out what your favorite screamer was, but what a sap I'd be if it turned out to be one of two that I already own.
That's kinda how it is with my Fathom. I tend to find that when you give me a bunch of options, I limit myself to only ever really using one.
I find that all of those multi option designs are like that. There's always one setting that is that much better for just about any application.I have come to avoid such concepts.
For most pedals with options, I find 2-3 sounds I really like. So it's nice to have the options and save the real estate. Also nice if my taste changes and I just feel like something different
Some of us don’t identify with the concept of “one preferred sound” :) On most of the pedals I use, delay and reverb esp., I have at least three settings I switch between.
That's great and you didn't even run it through it's low gain paces and I've been trying to find something with this same kinda massive wall of fuzz for my bass VI and here it is I might even skip upgrading my amp this month and just get this I'd love to run a low octave through it and green ringer style octave up
Didn't know you could play doom metal on a princeton until now!
29:30 You should play that at your church.
17:02
WOW killer tones out of this pretty box! How does the EONS cleans up with the guitar volume turning down?
Hi Ryan,
Where did you find that color of Jag Stang guitar?
Another great fuzz pedal. Does it do the clean-up when rolling down the volume on the guitar?
So tasty.
Hi, I'm looking for a fuzz/distortion with a powerful Gain to facilitate legato as in metal pedals, could this pedal be what I'm looking for?
Does it do the Electric Wizard thing?
Does your family believe you lost it, Ryan cause I sure do!!¡¤¡ oink
What is the riff that starts at 16:06? I can't think of the band but love the song
Good lord Ryan!!
that’s a massive great sounding fuzz!
What guitar model is that you’re playing on there,
it’s beautiful!
If I had to guess. Looks like a fender jazzstang
it's a jagstang, he literally introduced it at the beginning...
Rude and nasty comment:
Your shirt is too damn grey for all those colorful guitars!
For real though, great to hear your take on this pedal!
The riff starting at 29:30 is bordering on djent
❤️🔥🤩🥰👍🏻
Thanks Mr. Ryan.
Porcupine Fuzzies.🤪
Is this likely too much gain to be much use for vintage style single coils?
How did u get that color in that beautiful jag stang guitar?
You make it sound like a monster, maybe it is the guitar? I watched another demos and it is not closer the same sound. Doom stoner rock style all the way.
It definitely pops against the black background. Loving this demo so far. The goatness makes it betterer.... could it even be heavier than my Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom or my WMD Geiger Counter?
You get what you pay for. I could get 7 clones for what this costs, but I doubt I'd get the same variety of sounds from all seven combined.
...And don't forget bees in a jar...you could achieve sooo many tones just in mode 1
Totes! The 'ram'-ifications of this fuzz are endless...😜🤪🤭🤔🤨😐
So this has to be based on a muff topology, right..?
Any other pedals that follow this concept of multiple fuzzes in one pedal?
EQD Hoof Reaper is essentially a Green Russian Muff and Tone Bender with the Tentacle octave. Functions as 3 different pedals in one with the ability to stack all 3 but can't change the order
Also the JHS Muffletta but that's just a bunch of Big Muff circuits in one pedal with a mode selector
@@TheGonzBeats ah ok... Well I love my BYOC crown jewel and I'm actually hoping to get a pedal like that but for fuzzes
There was a pedal called a Sarcophagus by Black Arts Toneworks that combined their Pharaoh and LSTR circuits into a single box. It was verrrrry nasty.
Why two Princetons?
Ages or Aegis?
Shoot out with pigtronix star eater analog fuzz.
