The only thing about this to me is did you really get an ace? If your entire team stopped playing the game just so you can kill someone, did you really earn anything?
Another rule: dont blame bottom fragger when they still have some kills. Ofcourse when they have like 0-4 by round 15 and give no info or troll thats something else, but as someone who isnt a total crackhead in the game its frustrating when people start blaming you for doing nothing without a real reason.
I wish people wouldn't dump on the person who has zero kills. Its not like they didn't know and its not like they're happy about it. Flaming them isn't the right kind of encouragement.
Once we got a really tough enemies. Everyone was playing way too slow even for valorant, hiding on the sites. Then I got 4 kills. Everyone immediately went to search the last enemy, stealing my ace.
@@prokabu3797 i didn't feel bad tho. Back then, I returned to val after a week or two and discovered I've become better. so playing in my lobby felt like smurfing and I got tired of it. So that game was fun
Something I see almost nobody talk about is to never reload after a kill. 80% of the time you kill one person, there is backup behind a wall or simply nearby, waiting to kill you while you are in the reload animation, and you can’t cancel the reload animation, basically spelling out death. I cannot express how many times I have died like this
Instead of looking at your KDA on the scoreboard, look at your money and your opponent's money. This way you can plan your holds or pushes according to the weapons you or the opponents have. The true scoreboard is the one on the very top of the screen, and that's where you should focus on.
If you are in a game, keep the morale of the team up. Whether you are top frag or bot frag, always communicate well and give callouts when necessary. It is better to fight a 5v5 than a 1v5
Thank god someone gets this. It doesn't matter if you can top frag. If you're not working with your team, communicating, using utils, watching flanks, etc. You're useless, plain and simple. You can aim, but you cant do jack shit else
A really good tip that people don’t pay attention to: we’ve all been in the situation where the enemy sees you and you see them and they have cover but you don’t, what normally happens is you don’t move from your spot waiting for them to re peak, and 8/10 times you get beamed, the way I see best to avoid this is when they spot you and go back into cover, move a few steps to a different location but still be able to see the same location you where aiming at before, it throws them off because before they where pre-aiming at the spot you where before, now that you e moved slightly it throws them off for half a second or less and in that time they try to adjust their aim at you they would either have to to hide again or shoot it out, if they go back to cover just rinse and repeat, not just a valorant strat by one for all shooter games.
yes, yes, a million times yes! i’ve done this (most of the time it’s a panic movement more than anything *•~•) but it helps so much! especially if you move in the direction that makes them have to peak further to see you. as in like if they, from their sight, has to turn like a left corner to peak. you need to move to your right (making them have to make harder left turn/swing to hit)
Lol, my friend has the spectrum classic (recent zedd skin) and before any pistol round, i throw my gun off the map and look at her and she just throws me the skin. Which she throws everyone the skin cause she loves the finisher, but still fun to do anyway before pistol round.
For the Jett op thing, this is becuase Jett can dash out of the way if someone is already holding the angle or if Jett misses a shot. Therefore she's the best oping agent. Reyna is also good becuase of the dismiss but Reyna would have to get a kill first.
Chamber is a really good opper too, it's slower to "reload" the tp compared to jett's dash but unlike jett you can go from an angle to another instantly, and dont need to get a kill to have it back
@@lafrenchone649 I just unlocked Chamber a few days ago, he is lots of fun. I almost feel bad when I teleport behind people and head shot them with a marshall. But I also teleport into getting smoked lol
I've been into the game for 4 days and went from not knowing anything to trial and error'ing through these unwritten rules and calling out better. The game is fun and constructive criticism during matches are needed but getting those few toxic people who act like the world will end because they died makes it uneasy. There's been a ton of character development between the teams I've had it's wild.
2 days in valo and luckily I haven't got any toxic teammates, in fact some of them are suprised and thinking I was smurfing, I just simply tell them that I have some experience on other fps games so that's why I have the core mechanics of an fps game. I rate this game 10/10, never felt this kind of excitement playing a game for a looooooooooong time.
The scoreboard rule I break every single game, but I don't actually see anything negative for myself in it. If I do well in a game, I get more motivated in a sense of "Okay, maybe I can carry us! ^-^" If I don't do well in a game, I get sad, cause I drag my team down and then tryhard more so they don't get mad at me (also really don't want to be the reason as to why 4 other people lose their game) If I'm in the middle of the scoreboard, I usually just vibe along and try to play off of my teammates.
same, it gives motivation if i’m top frag and i don’t feel bad about bot frag because of my playstyle. another good thing is you can motivate your botfrag if they aren’t playing well
the thing is you SHOULD look at the scoreboard. know what weapon everyone is carrying and everything. i have the habit of looking at it in the middle of rounds so i know what gun my allies have too.
Same but if im bot frag i try to be a little less selfish and go in for my teammates with lower health and just try to help in general cuz my aim isnt good enough for the match
Unless you're holding garden with a one-way with viper. But in that case, if they kill you, do warn your team that garden is open and window is broken. I break the window before the round starts so that I can retreat quickly if they overwhelm me and I hold from there instead
7:30 this! I don’t play duelist, but I’ve had multiple rounds where everyone else instalocks a duelist and I play my normal sentinel to try and help. I’ll end up top dragging and they will still yell at me for not be able to hold a site by myself or take a 1v3. Especially with KJ. I know my lineups and do my part, now Jett, maybe you should be the first one to peak the angle!!
That sage wall on split is good for low-mid elo ranks. Higher ranks they’ll throw Util over the wall and corner you or make you fall back. One raze ult leads you to either: run back to B main or go towards bomb to the enemy’s line of sight
Same with ascent lobby wall lol. It's bad to use at the beginning of a push unless you're against low enough who don't know of it. Otherwise it's pretty useful to use once you've gotten site so you can gaurd all angles :)
@@oceann888 the b main one! With the window that looks into site if you go high enough. You can wall on the box with that upt orb and catch people off guard or get an omen on site
My unspoken rule: The one who should supply the Trashtalk for your team is the bottom fragger, because the words of the person who's the shittiest on your team will be the one that will latch onto enemies minds, making them respond and possibly tilt. Just keep up the act and you'll be helping your team!
This right here: If you are bottom fragging, talk shit and be funny with it OR give the enemy really obvious advice when they fuck up Like "Omen, you need to tap fire with the Vandal, it's inaccurate to just hold down the trigger." Or "Jett show an entire clip and there was just an outline drawn of me, god damn" And even "Hey, we are planting A since you seem to be so lost that nobody is on site"
@@chad2522 That’s exactly the point: if you don’t know, it is (supposedly) harder to rage. It prevents raging that is caused by the pain of seeing yourself at the bottom. A little weird and maybe not wholly helpful, but tracks somewhat logically (though you can make most things seem logical when they really aren’t).
6:40 “You are not allowed to buy the smite skins, if you want to know why, idk ask WestJett or something” I honestly died at that part. I rate that joke 69/10
When you playing defender, don't be the fourth person to go on A when someone is alone on B. In best case ask if you can change spot so your team can react to that ^^
Actually, if you see a smoke and they don’t know you’re there, you absolutely should push it. Especially a Jett smoke. Jetts will often smoke off an angle so they “don’t have to worry about it” and focus on a different one. Push it and most of the time it will be a free kill for you, my friend.
This depends on the rank heavily, smokes aren't "don't worry about this" they're actually, "put this position in extreme disadvantage and remove sight lines." Situationally you can push smokes but you should pretty much know what's on the other side as in, you've played part of a game with these players so you should know how they treat smokes and how they play rounds. Obviously if you're in the pits where entry fragger means 1v5 clutch attempter because nobody every fucking follows the duelist in ever then you can abuse that, but that knowledge should come from playing a few rounds to see if the rest of the entries team is dogwater or not.
That one about not stealing aces really hits home for me because I’ve literally never got an ace because people keep taking the last kill. I’ve honestly just settled into the darkness at this point.
I really like this video, as a new player I learned a lot about manners like not stealing somebodys ace. That seems like common knowledge but now I’ve started paying more attention to who kills who and the mini map
One game the guy who was carrying us got his ace stolen and proceeded to throw the entire match. I definitely try to accommodate people who want aces just for the sake of their mental, and sometimes follow them around to trade just in case they die (which they frequently do).
6:45 I open that door every round I'm playing in the hallway on defense because the hallway is too easy to hold and that door being open gives you a simple crossfire down to the main push. Pretty op actually. - Just an Immortal 3
Also about the not blaming teammates part, I totally agree! I had some annoying guy who blamed everything on us even tho he was at like 2nd to bottom frag, but sometimes it's actually true and your teammate(s) are acting toxic/feeding/giving locations.
The reason you toss awp to jet is she can peak and dash away. It’s easier for her to trade favorably. Also, if you’re dying a lot at the very least hit M and ping while you’re dead. Like Sova says, “there are other ways to be useful.”
4:38 I personally think there should be scoreboard settings, where you can hide player k/d/a and randomize the order the players are in so you cant see whos bot/top fragging, therefore you can still see creds and how much points playesr need to use the ultimate
yeahh noo activision tried this with cod as well as EA with battlefield, hiding deaths and stuff like that, its never received well by the community, if u ass then u ass, dont ruin the scoreboard option for everyone else
2:23 but boy. When I play Cypher and my Teammates plays like Reyna, Jett or Phoenix, I am not the one who should push. They are just standing around and checking corners instead of moving and pushing. Then we all get killed by the one Raze with the rocket.
6:54 sometimes when im checking hall and my teamnate sees that they are going a they open the door for me so if i see an enemy, i can go onto site and instantly help my team.
6:44 as a Sage this is a good door to open, because you can wall almost instantly without having to peek and then rotate to your position, for example double doors.
Rule: Dont Trashtalk teamates if they are at the bottom frag, They are in the bottom frag because they chose to support their teamates rather than prioritizing kills.
Exception: If someone is actively so bad that it feels like their presence on the team is sabotaging you? Feel free to throw some shade, they need it with how often they flash their own team and cause an Ace.
@@Forestxavier20 That is actually a good point, but what I'm saying is not all bottom fraggers throw the game or sabotaging their teammates. Some are just having a bad day, demotivated, unlucky or maybe even irritated for making bad plays that were unintentional (let's ignore the irritated ones since you can consider them as a toxic teammate) Begginers do make mistakes on flashing though and Of course some really do it intentionally and that kinda sucks if you had one in your team or maybe more than that if worse, Anyway I kind of relate to that exception right there :D
@@ShiroZami0823 ngl only time a bottom fragger should even get shits is when they are actively not doing anything, even as a sentinel if they are giving useful info and not looking for kills then thats ok as long as they clutch up when it matters , people get too caught up on kills when its winning that should matter
Agree, im a cypher main and if my teammates are good at shooting ill do my set ups and get info, my friend is new at valorant and she plays sage but she still heals Me ,other teammates and revives even tho she gets no kills
6:55 I once opened it as a skye against a team that was playing double initiator and they always pushed A main and tube with 1 initiator on each side. did that to slow them down with util while the team rotates/flanks. Worked very well.
6:50 When you want to wall tube as sage, good players can tag/kill you if you walk through the double door. Instead, opening the iron door and then placing your wall is a much safer option!
Another tip: low elo always ignores the door for some reason. Doesn’t matter which team I’m on or which side I open it, if it’s my first time doing it I’ll get a kill without fail (low elo)
New rule: We (the Viper players) need you guys to NOT grab the spike and to NOT just plant randonly and say "GO FOR LINE UPS VIPER". Let us plant or ask where to plant and plant ON THE RIGHT SPOT WE PING ON THE MAP. Line ups are pixel precise, need the smoke combo and not always can be adjusted to "i'm gonna plant here and it's viper's problem now". Thank you. -______-
4:41 score board is actually quite important since you might wanna give your teammate a ult winning round, but it does discourage you, so keep calm and we can piah thought
5:46 jett is the most viable agent with the operator because she could easily just dash away when she peeks more than 1 person or when she misses a shot. unlike reyna who has to get a kill and slowly dismiss out or yoru who has to basically stand still for about a second
4:40 this rule is so true, i love the pressure of being in a clutch, but i can't feel confortable being the bottom frag and used to spam tab when this happened, not caring about being the bottom frag automatically made me play better
@@cnaizhen you can tell if they have ulti by looking at the top of the screen, they have a yellow aura on top if they have it and green aura if they’re using it :)
5:50 - Operator is absolute trash in the hands of other chars due to lack of overall mobility for example, regardless of the gun, if you get tagged while trying to peek it massively slows you down, so you can imagine trying to peak with OP, killing one and dying right after cause you cant run away due to the body shot slow, specially since OP takes a slight moment for the scope to kick in and "focus" in order to be accurate... only jet and chamber can be effective with it because of how clunky the gun it in general, and because of how those chars kit works in terms of effective mobility.
@@edenisok894 oh, 100%! But since he said in his games op was always dropped to a jet, its easy to assume those people who dropped it knew that op is jet/chambers gun, generally xD
I only look at the scoreboard for my ping and i worry sometimes if it suddenly goes high, because its really hard to win a gunfight when the enemy has 30 ping while i have 80-100
Unwritten rule: If the top frag or carry is the last one alive and almost clutches the round, you have to say nt or nice try. Happens in every one of my games so I feel like it must be true.
I think it's not limited to the top frag only. I think it applies to everyone who attempts to clutch the round. It makes them feel and play better because it relieves pressure for them. It's also a one way of telling them that "Win or lose, we just came here to have fun. So relax"
3:33 both of these walls are so wrong. They pretty much prevent you from taking site control and lead to awful, claustrophobic post plants. Do not do these unless you are very low rank, these walls are easily countered and harm more than help.
@BrosInArms literally just do not lock yourself out of key areas of the map. Use your wall to create off angles or clog up choke points for defender rotations
facts. the split one is only sometimes viable in unrated when you know there’s an op watching heaven. or maybe like if you rotated from A to B & know that it’s clear to plant but want to have a little cover. but still. just hide garage or go heaven if you’re worried ab heaven.
This is actually very true because ping difference effects this game a lot. Whether it’s someone with higher ping having peek advantage over you or shots not registering
Lmao I like this comment. Literally one game I was bottom fragging with only 1 kill with the game score of 6 - 10 I finally saw a sova and when I was shooting him I had a network error. I was shooting him but he never took damage :\ Until my network error was fixed and I was actually just shooting a wall. Never got that kill :(
The knife fight one. I'm a new player and when I played replication a few days ago both teams got KJ, so the enemy team said "knife fight mid?" and three of my teammates (including me) agreed to it. Too bad 2 people in my team didn't know how to read so they ruined the game and shot the enemy team :(
When someone enters a site, I still check the corners because they might’ve not checked it 😂 It actually once happened though and I caught an enemy in a corner my teammates never checked
4:58 - this was a little bad for me. I watched this video when i just started playing and the only agents i ever used at the time were Phoenix and Sova. I really took many of those rules to my heart, including "learning lineups". I think i ended up learning like 100+ lineups just for sova recon darts, thinking, that it's the only way that i can be useful for my team (no aim skill). It burned me out a little. It also made me not want to play viper (i saw her, and still see her, as agent made out of lineups). At least i am better now and this problem that i created really faded away (although i still don't want to play viper)
Honestly I wish they'd destroy "lineups" that go over walls and such because in my opinion it really destroys the point of the game. The abilities are meant to be used with direct, or near direct, sight where you're actually in danger. If everyone can just toss their skills over walls and such, what's the point? Like I've seen people using Fade's haunt on rooves and that actually will allow it to still mark people and because of the angle it doesn't make sound.
6:42 I've opened this door a few times, and it's mostly after we know that the entire enemy team is rushing A site. We smoke entrance so they can't see people opening the door, and we know that there is no one in the hallway. This is to open my team to 1 more angle that they can shoot at other people. But that's just me.
i remember one time i was playing a duelist and all i had was ghost when the rest of my team had vandals and they were screaming at me to push through the smoke and onto the site, and as i expected i got one tapped as i walked through
Please don't waste your walls like the ones around the 3:50 mark, I highly suggest waiting a minute because of how easily those walls can be destroyed and wasted. There are several walls you can use that are better than the basic ones (like just a side wall in a tunnel when you could easily make the wall long ways so it's more effective) There isn't really an "excuse" to be bottom but support shouldn't be peeking or being aggressive. If you're sage you watch flank, stay behind to give your team heals. If there is a sage and a skye the sage needs to stick with skye and keep them alive so they can group heal everyone else. I've seen several lobbies of people making the healers go first and just lagging behind and it ruins everyones effectiveness
THANK YOU! I think its stupid to say: Its not an excuse to have less kills jsut because youre sage/ sentinel.' Like bro my part in this team as a sage is to heal you guys, keep the site clear and just help.
6:53 I did open the door while on defending side , My reasoning is that the enemy will caught off guard cause they'll think I'll be on double door, I'm probably wrong tho
If you wanna play music while playing I recommend playing it while in the buy phase. Your keyboard usually comes with one of the function keys being play/pause button so you can immediately play/pause without coming out the game
Sage wall on split isn't a necessity, you can get the same effect from a phoenix wall or some other util and use sage wall to either close off garage, or block off CT. It is however a strong wall, but not if they have good shots sitting in heaven. There's aren't unwritten rules, these are you personal preferences.
I will not stop listening to music, it helps me keep calm and most of the time when I feel annoyed I notice my music had stopped playing, imidietly helps me. I also have it low enough that I can vibe but hear everything at the same time
Honestly I listen to music sometimes when I’m locked in. It keeps the vibes up when I solo queue with *interesting* teammates. I adjust the music volume to be low enough so that I can still focus on the game.
Please can u make videos based on each agents lineups so that I wont have to find them and also can u include the easy ones at the first reaching up to the high tier ones
6:56 Just had a game of Valorant where I got 2 kills due to someone opening the door. If they wouldn't have opened the door then he would have killed me eventually when I saw him again, and when I wouldn't expect him. That's why you never open that door. It is very risky.

Something I see almost nobody talk about is to never reload after a kill. 80% of the time you kill one person, there is backup behind a wall or simply nearby, waiting to kill you while you are in the reload animation, and you can’t cancel the reload animation, basically spelling out death. I cannot express how many times I have died like this
but if you did reload, well trying to dodge the bullets by going sideways increases your chance to kill the enemy before they kill you
Instead of looking at your KDA on the scoreboard, look at your money and your opponent's money. This way you can plan your holds or pushes according to the weapons you or the opponents have.

A really good tip that people don’t pay attention to: we’ve all been in the situation where the enemy sees you and you see them and they have cover but you don’t, what normally happens is you don’t move from your spot waiting for them to re peak, and 8/10 times you get beamed, the way I see best to avoid this is when they spot you and go back into cover, move a few steps to a different location but still be able to see the same location you where aiming at before, it throws them off because before they where pre-aiming at the spot you where before, now that you e moved slightly it throws them off for half a second or less and in that time they try to adjust their aim at you they would either have to to hide again or shoot it out, if they go back to cover just rinse and repeat, not just a valorant strat by one for all shooter games.
thanks for the tip

yes, yes, a million times yes! i’ve done this (most of the time it’s a panic movement more than anything *•~•) but it helps so much! especially if you move in the direction that makes them have to peak further to see you. as in like if they, from their sight, has to turn like a left corner to peak. you need to move to your right (making them have to make harder left turn/swing to hit)
it gives you the slightest extra second to hit the shot. which can make the difference.

Jett smokes only last a second

Like Sova says, “there are other ways to be useful.”
toss op to jett and she revives you, that's the point of the rule.
4:38 I personally think there should be scoreboard settings, where you can hide player k/d/a and randomize the order the players are in so you cant see whos bot/top fragging, therefore you can still see creds and how much points playesr need to use the ultimate
Nah..
what's the point of the game if you can't see your shitty score
yeahh noo activision tried this with cod as well as EA with battlefield, hiding deaths and stuff like that, its never received well by the community, if u ass then u ass, dont ruin the scoreboard option for everyone else
Honestly I unbinded my scoreboard a long time ago the only thing its truly good for is looking at enemy eco
I agree, it's really annoying having an off-day, then having toxic teammates who are yelling at you for having a negative k/d/a, etc.
2:23 but boy. When I play Cypher and my Teammates plays like Reyna, Jett or Phoenix, I am not the one who should push. They are just standing around and checking corners instead of moving and pushing. Then we all get killed by the one Raze with the rocket.
So wait for them to die to a person camping in corner they didn’t check, then you get a free kill?

I love seeing episode 1 act 2 skins in action

I've opened this door a few times, and it's mostly after we know that the entire enemy team is rushing A site.

4:40 for the scoreboard it’s important because u can see how many money the enemies have (if they can buy op for exemple)
6:53 I did open the door while on defending side , My reasoning is that the enemy will caught off guard cause they'll think I'll be on double door, I'm probably wrong tho
You can open the door on Breeze when defending when u want to place a wall as sage as its more safe from that angle

Just had a game of Valorant where I got 2 kills due to someone opening the door. If they wouldn't have opened the door then he would have killed me eventually when I saw him again, and when I wouldn't expect him. That's why you never open that door. It is very risky.
I pay for the skin bundle after a long night shift work, level up my battlepass to upgrade the skins. just for a 12 years old baby to ask me to drop him my hard earned skin?
Nah fam, i'm good.
Rule: Dont knife near the barrier it might notify the enemy Team that you are there
Also i think its ok to look at the scoreboard only at times where you wanna know what weapon your Team has or to See how high your ping is
I was once left in a 2v5 match because everyone was afk, when all of our enemy said we should make a bet by doing a cowboy standoff and if we win they'll throw the game and let us win. And we ended up losing but those guys were pretty cool for doing that
IMP - When your teammate wants to knife the last enemy, you don't shoot the enemy though he's infront of you . You take bullets and sacrifice but let team knife.
Maybe not take bullets but more so distract the enemy enough. And this doesnt apply to just last enemy, just any enemy in general if your teammate is behind them. I love it when this happens xD
I've opened the Breeze door on defending side a lot. I've done that in case I need to circle back, push the hallway, or run to B to help teammates. The only thing is that you've gotta be careful as hell, as they'll hear it
