BMS needs to be told its new battery. It will not charge as new but as an old battery. Easy with a scanner. After that it can start to relearn with being driven for about 20 miles to relearn your driving habits, shift points etc.
I heard that when you install a new battery, the vehicle computer system must be reset and the battery registered using scan tool... can anyone confirm?

It reset itself I didn't do anything and seemed fine years later

Thanks. Gonna replace my original this weekend. Pretty good for lasting 7 years 42,000 miles. Should be quick an easy replacement. 👍
For sure mine lasted 6 years 100k miles 😀👍 and I abused it multiple jump starts on equipment

I had to have my 2014 F150 recalibrated after changing my battery . It caused my throttle body to mess up and my truck to go into engine idle mode
