No. It was retconned that Paperplane created Anakin using the Force, as it was depicted in a Vader comic issue.
As they dont care to check the source material (like when they sacrificed EU for JJ), as Rey was suddenly his granddaughter and as it was indicated (in the comics and episode 3 dialoge) that Anakin was his creation/son. It would have meant that Rey and Ben would have been related by blood.

Haha great point, that was a great comic. Though I do think that the creator of the Vader comic said that the vision of Palpatine as Vaders father was just a vision like a dream and not a vision like he was uncovering the truth. That said the initial script for Revenge of the Sith had a line where Palpatine said that Anakin could think of him as a father or sorts. But that wasn't filmed. I agree Rey being a palpatine was random and felt like the last option they had after they undermined the groundwork for her in the force awakened.

I deeply wish I could say that was a terrible theory but it's actually REALLY solid. Based on the uncreators behind the scenes ever since TLJ, this scenario seems more likely than unlikely.
Yea thats what's kind of depressing. The things we think they would never do if they love star ward tend to be exactly what they do.

Fanny Mae and O.S.H.A. survive, rename themselves as Skywalker, and between them create Shmi Skywalker, choosing a white female just because they need to retcon, teach Shmi Skywalker the ways of the coven and Shmi creates Anakin.

It's truly is the worst possible outcome but I could definitely see the hubris of KK and Leslye Headland to try and make their show so important that it influences Star Wars for forever
I wish that people didn't even hate watch or cringe watch this show, or do so for youtube review sake.. I wish the viewership was as abysmal as possible so that Disney gets the message that this isn't what we want.
So, here’s my theory. The Jedi killed the coven. It was probably Torben (I want to point out that he’s, as far as I’m aware, the only white male in the show - just saying), but the Wookiee and Idara probably defended and aided him. Sol, however, was was probably sent to collect the girls and was unaware of what truly transpired. Remember, Torben was, I don’t know, possessed when confronting the coven. Easily, I might add. This would not have sat well with them, especially Torben. Anyway this will eventually be revealed. I thing the not-Sith is the mother with the horns who wears a mask (conveniently) because she is scarred from the events of that night. She is taking on the guise of a man and altering her voice. I believe in the next episode, the not-Sith will dispatch all the Jedi except Sol (and possible Yorn - not sure if I have his name right). They will probably be saved by Mae (because the witch will not want to harm her) which will give them reason (even though it definitely shouldn’t) to trust her. Sol, Mae and OSHA (and possibly Yorn) will pursue not-Jedi, eventually corner her. They will fight. The mother will reveal herself. Mae will take her side upon this revelation, but OSHA will not. The two girls will fight, the mother and Sol will duel (possibly Yorn will join Sol but be killed). During the fight the mother and Sol will find themselves evenly matched. But Sol will reach out with the Force at the same time as mother does with “the Thread” and they will lock wills. The mother will sense through “the Thread” Sol’s innocence, and likewise Sol will have the truth of that night revealed to him, but also, through the Force, see the history of oppression by the Jedi. But in the Force vision he will have what one might call a prophecy. A prophecy of a Jedi, born in similar fashion as the twins, who will bring balance to the Force. But, by the Jedi misread this prophecy could be. Because really, it will be revenge upon the Jedi. Both Sol and mother will stop fighting, now understanding each other. They will want to stop OSHA and Mae, but OSHA will prevail and strike down Mae. They will go their separate ways. Mother will hold off her vengeance against the Jedi for now for OSHA’s sake, but will vow her cause will not be forgotten and that vengeance will one day occur. The closing scene will be of the mother and Mae’s side-kick friend discussing that the Jedi will still hunt them both. She will tell him she will teach him all she knows of the “Thread” and say, for safety sake they should go by new names. He will choose “Plaguious”. So there ya go. The Jedi are oppressors now, the Force is fundamentally misunderstood, Anakin’s prophecy is misunderstood, the lesbian witches (and sorry, but I have to point this out: the coven of witches creating children themselves is a not very subtle allegory for “we don’t need men”) inadvertently bring back and teach a new Sith order. I’m done and I feel gross now.

I have seen tons of criticism for Disney Star Wars over the years and although most of that criticism has largely spot on, I found it frustrating. Even critics of Disney Star Wars don’t seem to see the bigger picture of what is cumulatively being done to Star Wars. It was refreshing to listen to you both. One of my earliest memories is seeing the original Star Wars in theatre. I am a life long fan. It angers me beyond words what Kathleen and Disney are doing. I wouldn’t have minded if they had tried their hand at something new with it, even if it were bad. It would have sucked but it wouldn’t have made me angry. No, this dismantling, degrading bit by bit and deliberate undermining of what Star Wars stood for and what George created is infuriating. What they are doing is not mere incompetence, it’s deliberate and malicious. It’s done out of spite and bitterness. Proof of this is the overwhelming abundance of characters, events, themes and ideas that Disney has messed with, re-contextualized and spat on. The Acolyte has just been the latest in this campaign. But, as we can see from the fan’s reaction to it, it’s also been the most obvious. Even the most hopeful (but sadly misplaced in Disney) of fans see something is rotten here. I tell every one of them that I can that it has been since Disney took over. Anyway, keep up the good work in exposing the greater meaning behind all of this.

There’s absolutely no way this show should get a season 2. If they were smart they’d cancel skeleton crew as well
I would be astounded if they green-light the Acolyte for another season. I definitely do not see that happening, but there are still 4 more episodes for them to destroy more Star Wars canon.

This is a plausible theory and it would even further destroy the fandom than it already is.
Hopefully it's not what they're doing but knowing whose created the show and whose running the studio, I could see that being their main objective
@@holdmydualshock great point regardless. I’ve been a huge Star Wars fan and have been watching Star Wars content everyday for the last several years. I love the Clone wars and Bad Batch. But I cancelled my Disney+ subscription with the Acolyte. I really hope that Dave Filoni is not at the heart of changing the lore. I know he has to approve stuff but I think he’s probably been under pressure from KK and those above him.

There's nothing to worry about with the Acolyte, and ill tell you why... KK an LH are in a position of power, without having any actual cteative talent of there own. In maybe 5 but less than 10 years, youll be able to download an app, upload Heir to the Empire book, and pump out an Ai generated movie better than anything Dinsey ever made... at that point producers will become obsolete... the industry will crumble. But youll still need creative people to shape the Ai into something good. People like KK and LH still wont be able to produce good content even with these tools, but a 12 year old woth love of the genre can and will. I think they see there redundancy on the horizon and are scrambling ro make something that creates a scene, and they arent clever enough to make anything good so they crap out this stuff to get attention and feel relevant in the time they have left...
That is so true. AI is definitely going to influence the future and they will have wayy less people in the room when brining these projects to life so they are trying to make their last stand and garner the shock factor with how uninspired and deranged their writing is

The Acolyte, the sequel trilogy and tales of the empire are not canon. The damage due to poor writing and unnecessary plot holes that Disney has created is unforgivable. George Lucas needs to pull his franchise from Disneys grasp before they kill it.

The key question is -- how far will the producers go to continue giving Star Wars fans what they do NOT want? I'm not saying your theory is crazy -- I mean, it IS but that's more because it COULD be true -- but it all depends on the producers continuing with such a story line which NO ONE likes but them. Do they care so little about fans of Star Wars, past, present, and yet to be, and only about them and their agenda?
The whole idea of new Star Wars product is to keep fandom alive for a new generation -- but clearly this is not happening. New generations aren't taking to Star Wars because of drek product like The Acolyte. If this show is for women, LGBTQ, POC who are not Star Wars fans already, it doesn't appear to be working -- and if it's for old Star Wars fans of every stripe (of course it's not), it DEFINITELY is not working. But when will the producers realize that and course correct?
Or will they ever? Will hubris make them double down and continue on, blaming racist/bigoted/misogynist fans for hating what they are producing -- rather than the truth, which is that we hate bad storytelling, lack of compelling characters, dismal action, and inexplicable shredding of canon? Sad to say, I think they will never get it.
What's sadder still is that I could take the bulk of what I just wrote and apply it to the Rings of Power and Tolkien fandom, and it will work just as well. I do not get this trend.
Such a good point. The Star Wars fandom has been alive and well for decades. People are not talking about things with excitement and the more that Disney add the smaller and less interesting Star Wars becomes. On 3 films alone people talked and debated with passion for 25 years. That is not even to include the prequels and how they have been dissected and discussed.
Star Wars from Disney content and when it's not lessoning the brand it's easily dismissed and forgettable.
If people didn't dislike shows like the acolyte there would be nothing to even let you know it existed in the first place.

Very true, it doesn't even achieve at being passable fan fiction let alone a decent sci-fi show which is why it is being dismissed by most people who watch it and being touted as the worst Star Wars show ever made. Its well deserved.
The problem is many are saying it has to be one or the other but why can't it be both? And if it can be both, why can't it be more? Everything is cyclical in natural so why wouldn't the Force of nature also be so? Why does the vergence of Anakin have to be unique? Why does the Force have to be called the Force by an entire galaxy? We can't even call some of the same things by the same name in the same country. Nobody is forcing anyone to consume what they are serving you and you have the option to just consume the parts that appeal to your particular tastes and discard the rest. If it's not for you, try a different show or movie or read a book. Or use your imagination.
