this car is for people don't drive many miles work and to the store on the way back . don't ever let a gps tell you to go on highway that will destroy your mileage ..this is city car stop and go ...regen electric coasting and braking
+gasdorfic muncher yeah I would not make this my only car. Otherwise you are never going to go very far from your house lol. It does ok on the highway if you drive the speed limit. Which I don't do a good job at, so I lose a lot of energy. Lol. Thanks for watching!
how far do you have to drive to recharge this vehicle? How do you get the money from the government? I live in California. I just test drive the 2015 Fiat and have to make my decision in the next 48-72 hours? I really love the vehicle
Greg, just returned my 2014 Fiat 500e leased car and got a new 2017 500e . Great deal. fun car and my cost for 3 years will be $1400.00. One thing you forgot to mention is there is ZERO maintenance you have to pay for. SWEET DEAL!!!
Got my 500e at the Fresno Fiat dealer. Put $5500 down. Got the $5500 back in rebates plus another $500 from PG&E. My lease payment is $56.10!!! Sweet deal and no maintenance,
Nice review of the 500e, Greg. I'd love it if you could do some more 500e videos - a short road trip experience, perhaps some more driving impressions, etc. I'm on the east coast and thinking about buying a used off-lease 500e. Thanks!
+VeeDubTDI that's a cool idea. I was thinking of doing mini road trips with the car just so I have interesting things to Vlog. But, I like that idea of giving further info on the car. Thanks for the idea.
Looks like I'll be picking one up this weekend. I went and test drove it yesterday and really enjoyed it. The steering and suspension are taut, the power delivery is excellent, and it's reasonably comfortable for a small car. Excitement! :)
+VeeDubTDI that's awesome! It is funny I have so many people hit me up and ask me questions about the car, like random strangers in Target's parking lot. Lol. So be warned that you might have to become the local expert on the car lol. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.
88 MPH is 23 MPH OVER the speed limit. That is PLENTY. People need to slow down in the bay and CA in general. Scary to even take a road trip through there. Slow. DOWN. Anyway, cool cars I am looking at returned lease EVs right now. Something under 8 grand to buy OTD and keep many years.
+djkenny can't say that you are wrong, about the speeding problem out here. But, I would just make sure to ask about expected battery life of the car it is costly to get those changed.
I am okay with a 4 grand replacement every 10 yrs if need be. Seeing no oil change, no gas... $20 electric every month beats $100 in gas. No tune ups... 4 grand sounds like a Steal. Likely the battery will go down over time as well.
100% agree. That is its Achilles Heal, although supposedly the 2020 version has it (and a larger battery). Unfortunately it will probably only be sold in Europe.
I bought one same as yours in May, one question I have how do you attach your front license plate? Have you ever used a charging station, if you have how do you determine if one is available or not when you're down to 10% charge?
I did not attach a license plate to the front even through I need too. I have used a station before. You can look up what station are around you and reserve a spot sometimes other times you just have to risk it. I joined a few networks of charging station and got a card for ones that cost money for the charge.
What I have read up on them is that their battery life is anywhere from 6-9 years. but, the batteries are super expensive, like thousands of dollars. If I where to buy a used one I would make sure that they have replaced the battery before I buy one. In fact the dealer advised me not to buy the car when the lease is up. Thanks for watching!
Thx for the reply. Some used ones have really really low miles and are still under warranty. I would only be concerned if they have over 50k miles. And from what I've learned so far...the dealer doesn't want you to buy a used one because they don't make any money that way. They make more money if they get you to sign a new lease for a new car.
That makes sense. Normally I would never lease a car except for all the things CA gives for us to do so. I would assume that most won't have that many miles on them. Most of the leases that I have heard about for the Fiat are limited to 30,000 miles, over that it is $.25 a mile. It is so much fun to drive though. I am in a good mode every time I get in it. lol
I bought a 2013 off lease and the car works like new. When I unplug it in the morning it will show between 80-109 miles on the guestimator.(range estimator) depending on temperature. My commute is 45 miles plus a little for errands and I get home with 40-45% depending on temperature and if I used heat or AC. The battery is warranted for 8 years and at 4 years I have not lost any range yet like on some early Nissans. I lasted about a month charging from 110 outlets before I called my electrician and had them put in a 220 outlet. I got a cord from Amazon under $300 that works fine although slightly slower than others that cost twice as much. On 110 during the winter the car would get to 80-85% in the morning, so I would barely get home with 15-20% and few times showing a range less than 10 miles. If I stayed late at work the car got less charge time and sometimes I had to drive my other car. Once I got the 220 charger, The car is at 100% in the morning and often after I have been home an hour it is full enough to go do errands and fully charge before work again. I absolutely love this car.
+Jessica H I don't really remember. But I know I have good credit. But the lease price didn't adjust on credit. But on the deals they are offering. A couple in my church, who make way more than me and I am sure have better credit, pay $69 a month cause that was the deal at that time. Hope that helps. I am still loving the car. 😁
Jessica H - Wow, little personal, no? Greg, I'd like to know, how much money do you make a year, prefer Mary Ann or Ginger, and do you wear boxers or briefs?... ;) See Jessica, there are some things that just cross a line, and are not asked out of respect and good manners...
I did an update to this video for anyone who is interested. Thanks everyone for you questions and for watching this video. ruclips.net/video/R_PdTY0xxKc/видео.html
If anyone has anymore questions about the car feel free to ask! Thanks for Watching
That Greg's Vlog can it burnout?
lol only after it has rained in which case it might be more of a spin out than a burn out. lol

+William Hanner very true! Just tires and breaks. Thanks for watching.
William Hanner where did you get your car from? My dealer keeps on telling me to put 1500 down??
+Mitul Jariwala the deals are changing all the time. I got my car from the Bakersfield dealership in CA.
Got my 500e at the Fresno Fiat dealer. Put $5500 down. Got the $5500 back in rebates plus another $500 from PG&E.
My lease payment is $56.10!!! Sweet deal and no maintenance,
+William Hanner current deal is $79 a month. They said $4k down and you get $2500 back in rebates. How did you get $5500 back?
I think we bought your car - baby blue, about 20,000km on the clock - in Vancouver BC. Perfect for us! 🤗

I'll be sure to report back! I'm happy to spread the word about new technology, electric vehicles, and efficient transportation.
Does it make since to just buy a used fiat vs new ? I’m looking at fiat 500c pop , not e
Thanks for your review!
Thanks for this!

+djkenny true. Just always want to make people aware of that. But yeah still a great deal.
I love this car. Just wish it had quick charge capability.
100% agree. That is its Achilles Heal, although supposedly the 2020 version has it (and a larger battery). Unfortunately it will probably only be sold in Europe.
I'm so mad they don't have those deals here in Texas! I'm buying a regular fiat 500 for 300+ a month with none of those features!
Just ship it - It's only costing me around $800 to ship a 500e from California all the way to DC!

what do you know about battery life? these are sold used in other states so there are a lot of unknowns.

WOW! SIGN ME UP!
Fiat 500e takes huge depreciation drop. You can pick up a used 2017 with under 20K miles for around $7K.
Yep!
Any deals in Sacramento? Anyone know?
Beauty blue one!! :)
Hi Greg, I am planning to lease this car too. What credit score did you have when you leased it?
+Jessica H I don't really remember. But I know I have good credit. But the lease price didn't adjust on credit. But on the deals they are offering. Did you survive? I cant believe you let a girl drive.

I only say it ironically, because no one says it :)
