Quick warning, this is a very long comment.
There where some people who knocked on my door the other day,( didn't even wait for a response) and they walked off my porch and to the right, now my gate to the backyard is that way, and it just felt off, so I grabbed my 6'1 brother, and went out the front door to make sure the gate wasn't open, so we open the door and I kid you not, there's a white truck parked in our driveway, truck bed open, three dudes sitting in the truck, so my brother quickly shuts the door, and we go out the backdoor to see if our lawn mower was still in the backyard (we keep it back there from time to time) and Luckily it was still there, but one of the dudes saw me and my bro, and just stared at us not saying a word so we decided to go back into the house, and keep an eye on things from safety, as we were walking away they tried to get our attention by yelling at us, but we kept walking, five minutes go by and they're still out there, so my big bro finally decided to go out and confront them, he goes out asked them what they wanted, and their response "oh we wanted to cut some tree limbs for you guys." But here's the thing they didn't have a *single* piece of equipment, not a thing, so my brother told them to leave, and they left, very weird, but honestly,I have A LOT more stories weirder than that.

So, my husband works 3rd shift 9pm - 5am. So I'm home alone all night. I would have ran to my guest room (the only room in my house that has a lock) and then hide in the closet and text my husband. I live in the boonies, I do not see people. So if someone was at my door at midnight it would be pretty scary for me. Mostly I just hear wild animals like the whole pack of coyotes that where howling so loudly I thought they where in my front yard.
I COMPLETELY understand that weird situation. As someone with really bad paranoia / anxiety I would've done the same thing. I would've immediately gone to "oh my god shes waiting outside my door to kill me" and called my parents over. God that's terrifying

I remember being on a rooftop of a swimmingpool thingy, and being in the hottub in the middle of winter. We had to walk barefoot to the hot tub/door inside. Loved it. My dream used to be iceswimmer.
In my opinion, it can't be too cold for hot tub but it can absolutely be too warm! I really don't fancy jumping into the hot tub in the middle of the summer, that's like bathing in sweat and gross.

You weren’t overreacting, don’t worry about it. You live alone, you’re a tiny lady. You have a large fan base which might include a couple stalkers or others .... your safety is never something you have to worry about overeating about. I have a lot of anxiety and called my brother a couple times in situations kind of similar to yours as well as others. In one situation I called him after I was at a party (I use that term lightly) and I knew something was wrong. I was nervous about calling my mom or brother in case I was over reacting. By the time I had dialed his number I was not able to speak in coherent sentences. I had been drinking but not near enough to go beyond tipsy. Someone had spiked my drink. I don’t remember anything after dialing his number but he says I wasn’t making sense and then hung up. He called a couple more times and I answered each time but did not speak. He called campus security and they found me in an alley alone. Nothing had happened to me yet but ever since then I don’t hesitate to call someone when something doesn’t feel right.

And it's not too weird to be freaked out by a person standing right up at your door, having parked her car in a manner that wouldn't allow for you to leave and than disappear out of sight. I'd be worried too.
This one time, in the wee hours of a Thursday morning (around 3:30 am or something) someone rang the doorbell to my flat for like minutes. I ended up calling my local police department that's just a few minutes away by car, because I didn't want to bother the emergency hotline, but they kept ringing the doorbell almost without stop. The officer even heard it over the phone. They sent someone to drive by, but at the time they arrived the person had left and the police hadn't seen anyone in the surrounding streets during approach. Probably someone who had been drunk and mistook our house for their home, but it was still really freaking me out, especially since it wasn't on the weekend were you might expect something like this.

Read A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. NGL, that book, and what it taught me, decreased my anxiety levels dramatically. (And I was like... suicidal panic mode all the time so..maybe give it a shot?)

you should make a cafe in the sims, but..... it is a hot cocoa cafe, and it is somewhere sims would go after they go skiing or ice skating to warm up.

Kayla hot tubs are the best in the winter. Get into it when it's freezing and then be all cozy. Bonus points if it's snowing. Admittedly, getting in and out of it sucks.

It’s Florida. I also live in Florida and I live in an apartment building with very thin walls and my neighbours also have parties almost every night. And the weird thing is that we live in a one-bed complex but I know that she lives with her young son and older mother and I’m just like how?? why???
IM so ready for autumn 🍂 imagine this: your sitting in your new sweater on the sofa whit a blanket and a pumpkin spice latte or hot coco. Burning a fall candle your tree is naked/ maybe watching tv or reading a book. But what’s actually gonna happen is your cold and got a cold coco and some kid dressed like a ghost whit some holes in a bedsheet comes at your door trick or treating. I’m so excited!

This house is so cute and I love the autumn theme but you use this furniture style so often. Would love to see you do a more modern/contemporary build please to show off your skills in a different way. Also thank you so much for being so honest about your mental health. Listening to you talk is like listening to a friend when I can’t sleep because of my anxieties (sometimes I literally do use your videos like a podcast and fall asleep to them so my mind can’t wander into upsetting things). The hottub makes perfect sense. As someone from a cold climate, the best time to hottub is fall and winter! Throw snowballs at people but they won't get cold! Perfect!
Challange idea: each room is a different Swatch
Instructions: For each room, randomise a random number and for each item you have to use that swatch. For example, you roll number 4. Your items have to be in the 4th swatch only. If you want to place and item but it doesn't have 4 swatches then you can't place it.

Bruh I came to watch this because I'm home alone thinking "I WILL FEEL SAFE" and then Kayla: so someone was outside my house at midnight
In Canada, even in the winter, with snow falling and -30* Celsius, hot tubing is still a thing. We wear winter knitted hats, that we call toques and the bottom of our hair if it’s long freezes but the water is warm and you can see your breath and everything is crystals and sparkles and lovely. The blanket of snow makes everything beautiful and so quiet, especially if you aren’t in a city, lol.

I understand your struggles with anxiety. I have a general anxiety dissorder and I am a major profectionist. It gets hard to relax especially whenever I'm at work or doing homework. Sometimes it gets so bad that I get anxiety attacks because I feel like a failure. I am still trying to find ways to relax and live my life but then life happens and I'm anxious again. I want to let you know that you are an amazing person and I absolutely love watching your videos. You're funny and sweet and relatable! Watching you got me into building in the sims and introduced me to a whole other world of the game i had never really tried before. It is very relaxing to me and it is sometimes my only release. I hope you find time to relax and take care of yourself during these crazy times, and just know that you are loved by me and all your almost-a-million subs. This home is adorable! Also, as a parent myself, I can honestly say that even in real life; all your focus goes to your child. Your child gets all the effort and the best things. I usually rewatch your speedbuilds just for the podcast because I personally like listening to what's going on with your life while I play games. And as I was rewatching this video, I realized how amazing you are. Even when you're struggling with your mental health, you provide your followers with this safe place where they can just come on, watch some speedbuilds and listen to your fun stories. It's truly amazing, especially since I also have mental health issues and these kind of videos really help me turn off for a while and just not think about anything. You probably won't even see this comment, but I really just wanted to tell you that you're awesome, Kayla💕

I live in Canada, and where I'm from it's pretty common to use a hot tub during fall and winter if you've got one. It's nice, save for the mad dash back to the house when you're done... gets pretty snowy and that part usually ain't so much fun, but it's not that bad either

I totally identified with your story, it’s amazing how when you are already at a level of anxiety one thing (which may not normally be a big deal) can really push you to your limit. I’m glad you had your brother around 👍🏼

Just so you know, I watch your videos because I enjoy listening to you talking about random stuff, and it helps me feel like I have a friend and I'm not alone. i don't know how much sense it makes for people without anxiety but as someone who also has anxiety.... something like that happening would have me awake all night shaking. even though nothing bad actually happened, the mind just goes wild and it sucks.
anyway, sorry to hear you're struggling, definitely sounds like you don't need any more dramatic things happening contributing to the decline of your mental healh.

You have every right to be afraid, every right Kayla. This summer, I was home alone for a month, one night my partner and I watched Gone Girl and then we both had kind of a weird feeling before sleeping, and the next day when my partner left, this feeling was still there. It lasted the whole day, I'd be afraid at every noise, thinking that someone was hiding in a room somewhere, and as soon as I'b be a little bit more calm, I'd hear a new noise and it would start again. At one point I was trying to calm myself in the living room, it was already dark, and suddenly I heard some kind of knock, I jerked awake, but there was absolutely nothing next to the window. And so it got me panicking, again, and it even got to the point where I went into my room, checked everything, blocked the door with a chair, and broke down in tears. I called my partner and my parents, it was weird because it was some king of gut feeling, as if something was about to happen, which worried my partner a lot because they had felt something the night before as well. It was very late, no one could really come at my house, and after talking for a while, I finally got confident enough to do a whole check of the house with my partner on the phone, and one of my cats who followed me around everywhere (do not underestimate the reassuring feeling of a cat's presence hahaha), and I found absolutely nothing and went to bed. To this day, I've never been more afraid than this night. And I still can't explain why, this particular time, it scared me so much. I guess that I was disturbed by something (maybe even the movie, I don't know), and seeing my partner disturbed as well, while also spending the whole day worrying, just kept reinforcing my fear even though there was absolutely nothing. Houses just crack sometimes, and even when there's nothing to fear, don't feel guilty about it ;)
