And Piers almost beat Raihan without dynamaxing nor gigantamaxing and Raihan gigantamaxed which means Piers is the strongest gym leader if he ever gigantamaxes, also Piers is the best older brother in galar in my opinion

I really like piers as a character. For the first dark type gym leader, he was amazing! I love the whole punk aesthetic and how unique his theme is. Alister is a close second (he was literaly the reason i got shield)

If you are the bigger guy though, you will just let people like all 4, or their own two, without having to insult people.

Not sure how many know about this, but there's some extra dialogue for Raihan's battle. He'll make a short comment if you change the weather (like in my case, I used Hail to set up Aurora Veil), something among the lines of "Ho? Not bad, changing the weather to Hail like that!". He also has an extra line if Sandstorm is triggered for a second time during the battle (like if you activate his Sandaconda's ability after the first Sandstorm has ended), it's something like "Yeah, let the Sandstorm blow again!" It's nice to see that Hop and Leon aren't the only ones who make comments in the middle of the battle.
Gotta love Piers for the fact that he's not inherently a bad gym leader or person... his town is simply collapsing around, no power point to Dyna/Gigantamax pokemons (hence the low attendance of gym challengers and spectators). And despite all that, he is still the second strongest gym leader just trying to make the best out of it. Kindda makes you think in the story potential for the sequel if we ever get a Sword/Shield 2
I've never seen Gordie in battle and I have yet to play Sword, but oh my god I love this dude already. There's no need to dramatic flare yet he does it anyway.
@@OwinBlazer I wouldn't know what even the "ultra" versions would be about, since there are only 3 legendaries to work with and not much room to change the story. That and the fact that Let's Go is technically Gen Vlll as well makes me think there are going to be no additional versions.

I had no idea about the second version exclusive gym battle, so when I got to Circhester, I prepared for an Ice Gym battle (Snowy city = Ice type gym, right?) But when I got in, I found out it was a Rock Type gym. Good thing I saved before entering!
I wish I could have Emboar in this game to call Mummy Pig, but man I love how you nickname your pokemon. Though tbh, Vulpix should've been named Selkie.

If you complete Melony's Gym Mission without falling into any pitfalls, she has different dialogue. Her dialogue when you don't fall is: I am Melony. As you can clearly see, I have assembled a team of all Ice-type Pokemon. Well, fancy that! You made it all the way to me without falling in a hole. If I'm not careful, you could sweep my feet right out from under me. Then she continues her other dialogue.
I hesitate between Opal, Bea and Piers. Opal because she's nicer than she looks. Bea because her eyes when she switches mode. And Piers because tragic.
Milo. He’s too damn pure, he is buff as hell for no reason (can push 770 lbs), and his team change for the after game is interesting. Though the Gordie-Melony thing is also pretty funny and interesting.

As soon as I saw Ice and Ghost on Shield I immediately knew I was gonna get it because I would pick Ice and Ghost over Fighting and Rock also cuz Galarian Corsola and Rapidash look amazing although I think Sword has some cool Exclusive Pokemon too like flapple and galarian darumaka
I know theres a bit of hate about this game, but honestly this is one of the reasons why I really enjoyed it. Like the whole stepping out into a stadium after defeating the challengers, facing off against the gym leader as crowds are cheering for the match to start, then hearing the “WHOO!!!” and “YEAHHH!!!” before the match starts, the crowds roaring out as a pokemon faints and then when our pokemon dynamax how the crowds get excited and start chanting along with the theme! 😆
Here are the differences! Allster (sorry if spelt it wrong) the Ghost type gym leader is the Shield version of the Fighting type gym leader, Bea in Sword. Melony, the ice type gym leader, is the Shield version (and mother) of the Rock type gym leader, Gordie

My favorite is piers because he’s the first dark type gym, he helps you find the bad staff member, and he’s the evil team leader like how Giovanni was the last gym leader in Kanto but piers is 7th in Galar
If you complete Melony's Gym Mission without falling into any pitfalls, she has different dialogue. Her dialogue when you don't fall is: I am Melony. As you can clearly see, I have assembled a team of all Ice-type Pokemon. Well, fancy that! You made it all the way to me without falling in a hole. If I'm not careful, you could sweep my feet right out from under me. Then she continues her other dialogue.
I hesitate between Opal, Bea and Piers.
Opal because she's nicer than she looks. Bea because her eyes when she switches mode. And Piers because tragic.

All I remember saying was that I quit Competitive Pokemon because my Interest in pokemon started dwindling and Pokemon has been going downhill, yet I remember saying that I liked the premise of Sword/Shield where Pokemon is treated like E-sports. Yes, I am still not going back to Competitive pokemon because I am still not interested in that but I guess because I said my Interest in pokemon games started going down, I am not allowed to play the new games or upload videos of it? That sounds pretty harsh lol. Also, I clearly remember answering a question in a summoning video that asked me if I am going to Let's play Sword and Shield and I said, I will try if I can.
If I am going to play a game, I might as well upload the videos of it since RUclips is my job, hitting two birds with one stone and it's a good break for me with Fire Emblem :)
Also If I ever said I was not interested in Pokemon then why would I use it's Music and OST in my FE Videos?

Fun fact: Hitmontop’s movements are actually based on capoeira, which is a martial art that slaves in Brazil invented and disguised as a dance to hide from their masters that they were learning self defense! So it makes sense that it’s on beat, cuz Hitmontop is in a sense dancing!

As soon as I saw Ice and Ghost on Shield I immediately knew I was gonna get it because I would pick Ice and Ghost over Fighting and Rock also cuz Galarian Corsola and Rapidash look amazing although I think Sword has some cool Exclusive Pokemon too like flapple and galarian darumaka

I know theres a bit of hate about this game, but honestly this is one of the reasons why I really enjoyed it.
Like the whole stepping out into a stadium after defeating the challengers, facing off against the gym leader as crowds are cheering for the match to start, then hearing the “WHOO!!!” and “YEAHHH!!!” before the match starts, the crowds roaring out as a pokemon faints and then when our pokemon dynamax how the crowds get excited and start chanting along with the theme! 😆

Here are the differences! Allster (sorry if spelt it wrong) the Ghost type gym leader is the Shield version of the Fighting type gym leader, Bea in Sword. Melony, the ice type gym leader, is the Shield version (and mother) of the Rock type gym leader, Gordie
