My favorite channel for catfish. Always good tips and information. Pretty Savvy boy that Landon especially for a 10 year old. Thanks for sharing your work and don’t stop posting It
I really like that cutting board , you know you don't see many 10 year olds that can guess a fishes weight with in 2 lbs while its still in the water . And he's a good camera man , really good camera man . Most adults have problems holding the camera that smooth . I might need too borrow him haha
Love your videos man, they are so genuine and a refreshing change from a lot of these other RUclipsrs who are in your face and trying whatever to get more subscribers. Love your videos, you have got me hooked on catfishing. Keep it up!
That was a great fishing time ! Your son gets to enjoy that experience is Just wonderful !!! You are a very Blessed to share that, with your son . Be Safe and Take Care !
Good video Hagen and a lot of good info. Man what I'd give to have one more fishing trip with my Son. Keep Laden on the water Brother and cherish each and every trip. God Bless .
Hey bud thanks for all the vids been watching all your old ones trying to catch up lol. Moved to a lake in my state a few months back rebuilt me a small 14ft clipper an went to buy a new motor but they are back ordered until August but its ordered now so I will get out fishing soon. Keep it up man!!
as always , great video brother. you have a little stronger will than me, if I'm catching fish that steady, I might have took a sick day the next day and fished all night!!lol keep em coming brother, you are my favorite youtube fisherman by far.
Spencer from river citified made a good quote. If you're catching eater channel cats its likely a monster flathead probably isn't there cuz they will munch
Love your channel and videos Hagen. I live in Frankfort, KY and love to see someone near us and your techniques. I hope sometime to see you and Landon on the water some day. Keep up the great videos. Keep them coming.
I am so glad to see you teaching your son catch and release... Alot of people keep everything they catch. Dont ever keep more than your share. Yes, there are alot of fish out there. Are there alot of quality fish compared to the 1800's. No. I just subscribed to your videos. Im all for a man keeping fish, and Im also for the catfish, or any fish. Great job. I enjoyed the video.
Just my opinion but I'd put 1 rod in the front about 10 to 12 ft out. Then one to the right 18 to 20 ft. Then one to the left as far as I can get it. Then the back 6 to 8ft from the boat. 1 rod the front, right side of boat then left side of the boat 1 to the back put bells on them then wait. No tangling issues. 😊
I know everyone loves shad but where I live live bluegill/sunfish/brim/perch whatever you want to call'em works better for flatheads and they're a tough little fish too
Hagen get ya some off road crocs, I swear you'll love em! Cabelas n Bass Pro put em on sale alot for bout $20 n they have a thicker sole with great traction. Check em out, you won't be disappointed. Keep up the great work like you always do buddy and God bless you and your family.
@Tsunauticus III I've been wearing them for 8 years now daily with no problems. My job requires that we shower out to remove any possible contaminants so they're convenient for that.
Great Video Buddy! I wish the Fox River had structure under the water. Other then a VERY small amount of rocks and very small amount of timber on the sides it's a desert. Happy Fishing!
Not bad Looking Rods. Its nice ,you dont have to spend alot of Money on Rods Reels, and get the job done. I Love name brand Reels, but Diawa, And Garcia, refuse to offer a left hand crank Reel, Except " OKUMA" as one example. We just use Big 6000 series KastKing Sharkey3 Bait Feeder Reels, And Wisker Seeker Rods. Good Quality for Money. We just use Mono all Around. Berkley big game ," SUCKS" on Spinning Reels, but just fine on Open face Reels. I use Orange Co Polymer Wisker Seeker Line. Either way , you have a System that works for you just fine. Heat Shrink is great especially, keep handles new or dinged up ones protected. Great Video Thanks.
What kind of poles do you use? I call them barrel rods but i don’t know any good ones or anything I use spinning reels (for saltwater) but I want to do some more catfishing but I want those type of rods you use. (The barrels) let me know please!
Came across this video and really enjoyed it. Subscribed, and looking forward to checking out your past (and future) videos.👍👍 I live in central Texas, there are good catfish holes all around..I’m wanting to go test them and using your info. should help a lot! Thank you! Awesome seeing you teaching your son! 🙂🎣. I just saw that cutting board on FishNstuffs channel..Nice! Best wishes and God Bless y’all.
Good video man first time I've seen your channel I'll be checking it out again I love catfishing and like seeing kids out their learning and fishing towe don't have any really good catfishing close by me but I'm blessed that I have the lower James River about 3 hour drive away so I fish it pretty often and we catch some really nice blue cats in there and you can catch small-to-medium channels until your arms fall off but we mostly target bigger blues and we catch a few striper when they're running
I started the boat ramp you are at about a year ago. How far up the river is the damn. I have been up past that waterfall and the fancy campground on the right hand side going up river.
Is that a shatter cat rod I see break through the clip bought two before the B@m silver cat rods. Haven't hooked up anything big curious what you thought there stiff
never really targeted catfish here in my home state of Ky but I know there are plenty of good opportunity's to catch lots of good cat's here. I'm close to cave run and the three forks of the Ky River in eastern Ky and some beautiful stretches of the KY river around the Irvine Richmond area so as i'm gettin older now and the bank in the bend of a river or a old log in a reservoir seems to call my name a little more, So love your channel and it's always great to see a Dad taking his kid fishing great memories for you and him , good clean channel. God Bless.
If the knot is tied right they are very strong. The technique that Chris souders teaches is great. I’ve caught some 30s and 40lb fish on them. I’m confident that if a monster bit on one it would hold him. Thank you for watching.
I have everything in auto for the most part. Sounds like you could have some interference coming from another unit or something. Thank you for watching
I like the betts super pro and the fitech super spreaders. The larger the mesh the more durable they are. Of course the mesh size greatly depends on the size bait you are looking for. I strictly use 1” mesh. Thanks for watching.
Tangling with catfish extreme series. Out of all the rods I have owned they are by far my favorite. Light as a feather, soft tip and a ton of backbone. Thanks for watching👍
I haven’t fished around them to much but normally gar make it impossible to keep baits in the water from my experience. It’s a great place to catch shad anytime of the year. Thank you for watching.
I still have the jon boat. It Needs some carb work but I will continue to fish the smaller rivers in it. I got this boat mainly to fish the bigger bodies of water. Thanks for watching.
@@hagengrubbsfishing i just re did my 18ft jon boat. It had original plywood, carpet for like 77. I went ahead and bought all diamond plate aluminum. It turned out nice.
Thanks for the great teaching videos for Christian folks . It’s refreshing to watch a genuine good family man fish. I appreciate your videos.

Great video bud
what is the link to the hooks you use
www.tacklingkats.com/product-page/8-0-offset-wide-gap-circle-hook thank you for watching
On those multiple hook leaders, have you hooked a really big fish on one of those? Wonder how strong they are. Like the idea of more bait.
If the knot is tied right they are very strong. The technique that Chris souders teaches is great. I’ve caught some 30s and 40lb fish on them. I’m confident that if a monster bit on one it would hold him. Thank you for watching.
Excellent video brother i like the fishing and where r u from pl
Will you do a video of the rods and reels you use?
Here ya go, thanks for watching 👍
ruclips.net/video/Iapb8E7o5JU/видео.html
How do you get that garmin to look so clear on the down imaging? My water column always has a lot more fuzz or clutter in it.
I have everything in auto for the most part. Sounds like you could have some interference coming from another unit or something. Thank you for watching
what part of Kentucky river or where is the river at
Pool 6 near Salvisa. Thanks for watching
I sure enjoy your videos.
hey bud! great video. been waiting to come across someone from kentucky! i am from mt. sterling but live in frenchburg now. you ever fish cave run??
Thank you, I have never fished cave run, thank you for watching
Well daddy 😂 he wanted that fight great video!
Its always hard to give the reel up 😄 awesome video sir
Where’d you get your lights on the back
Amazon
Do you experience with different Cast Nets. I bought one 3 years ago and it was garbage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I like the betts super pro and the fitech super spreaders. The larger the mesh the more durable they are. Of course the mesh size greatly depends on the size bait you are looking for. I strictly use 1” mesh. Thanks for watching.
What kinda of reels do you use
Why is the drift sock out .does it stabilize the back of boat ?
Yes, it keeps the anchor rope tight in light current and helps keep the boat from swaying as bad in windy conditions. Thank you for watching
Dig that cutting board
Nice tips!
What's a go rig for rocks
Hell yeah
I’m going to come go fishing with you lol
You get more bites on cut bate or live Bate
Great video.
What’s those blue rods with the metal reel seats?? Appreciate it.
Tangling with catfish extreme series. Out of all the rods I have owned they are by far my favorite. Light as a feather, soft tip and a ton of backbone. Thanks for watching👍
Awesome video, just subscribed to your channel,, thanks for sharing🎣🎣
Awesome video👍.What camera do you use?
What's the year, make and model of your boat? I'm looking for a new boat and like your design.
R u going to add a live scope to that garmin?
Not planning on it. That’s a lot of money lol. would be awesome for catching bait though. Thanks for watching👍
Great video bro. I definitely want one of those cutting boards. Do you have a lot of luck near the locks?
I haven’t fished around them to much but normally gar make it impossible to keep baits in the water from my experience. It’s a great place to catch shad anytime of the year. Thank you for watching.
Awesome video! Thanks
THANKS
I watched a jon boat redecking video of yours guessing you did a full boat upgrade
I still have the jon boat. It Needs some carb work but I will continue to fish the smaller rivers in it. I got this boat mainly to fish the bigger bodies of water. Thanks for watching.
