Not sure how you don't get the lines tangled with the rods that close. Especially if you get a runner. And I don't get why you don't spread your lines out more.

You are one patient man . When you are old ,your son will be taking you fishing in his boat because of all the time you spent with him .
Ain't no wonder that thing was $200 bucks.. That thing will cover a 1/4 of a slue. I think this was awesome editing Hagen to put in that 1st day that the ramp couldn't be used then losing the trailer guide board and catching nothing to you doing your thing. Showing just how things can go most of the time. I love this channel because you and landon are good KY boys that know how to get it down. Thank you for everything you guys do.

Caught my first fish of 2023 yesterday (April 15th)! Been a very long winter and you talk about a fish meaning a lot to you…after months feeling a big fish pull is amazing!
I've been running lucas 2 stroke oil (NOT TCW3 oil) it runs much better, low to no smoke on start up. It has higher ash content and is much tougher of an oil. It's a "hot" oil, not a "cold" oil like tcw3. give it a shot!
Nice blue. The other night I caught two nice channel cats right off the dam on a little lake in north Texas. They are spawning.

My dad would of lost his mind right at the point the board broke and would have been kicking and screaming at everyone and anyone.... The early 90s were just a different time. For me anyway. 😅

I fished the Ohio River on Easter and caught 15lb channel cat, a 8lb channel, and a big ol drum. Then went back this morning and lost a nice blue. And I also caught a potential state record skipjack. I released her, she would've went over 3lbs easy!!! The skips are starting to come up to the dams. Awesome video guys!!!
I'm glad after 40yrs of fishing with a baitcaster I ain't the only one who blows one up from time to time.

Down here further South, that buffalo would have been supper. Fried buffalo ribs are fantastic fair. There's a trick to cleaning them, so watch some videos. Then do a catch and cook video. I would like to see your reaction if you haven't every tasted them.

I like bottle fishing. Set them out. Then go back and load up on them > I really don't like big cats. over 25 lbs, I'll Take them all day long 10 to 25 lbs > Plus i like to take them back home ALIVE, AND LEECH THEM OUT. I just throw them into the swimming pool for a couple of days> It just takes out the mud taste in the fish

And their Flat Headed cousins. Sometimes we just dive down underwater and noodle up us some supper. Come see us. Grand Lake of the Cherokees is full of .... Everything you fish for. Road Trip.

Do fishermen who fish with rod/reel ever keep/eat what they catch? Just about the only people who I've seen keep their catch are those catching catfish in traps.

I like using fully cooked jumbo shrimp for Channels or live Bluegills for big Channel Catfish.
do you have video on your fish finder/ sonar settings? trying to help stepdad set his up for catfishing. A lot of videos i find are aimed towards locating bass/ crappie

Why did the net cost that much
The size for the most part, I use 10’ mullet nets. Most are 150+ and Some are close to 1000$. The mullet nets have a larger mesh that is much stronger than smaller mesh and last longer. The larger mesh also allows smaller unwanted bait to pass through. They also have more lead on them to make them sink faster. Thank you for watching👍

I caught my first catfish this year on feb 15 ky river a nice 41lb blue, caught it next to a creek mouth above lock one
I stayed in a an airbnb not to far from this spot. I fished it from the bank in late fall and something broke off 30 pound braid...
I fish the Kentucky river all the time. Fave spot is lock 11.
You don't have to fish deep water for catfish. Heck i seen them sunning in 2 foot of water

I use the dropper loop on my sinker slides. I still loose weights but my hooks and swivels survive another day.
If you don’t mind me asking what kind of main line do you use on your reels? I use 65# pro cat braid on my cat maxxs but I’m thinking bout going the mono route here recently.
I wish You’d weigh every fish over 10lbs.

He keeps talking trash about the Kentucky River. I fished it for 20 years. There’s walleye, sauger, muskie, crappie, smallmouth, largemouth, hybrid striper, and more. Maybe expand your horizons. Many times I’d get my 30 fish limit of crappie in less than 30 minutes.
