Hello to you and your family, Merry Christmas, and I hope you all have a Happy New Year. I had one of those umbrellas that you put on the tree, they work great. Please don't be lazy like I was and leave it up when you leave the stand. I left mine, and of course, we got a wind storm before I could get back to the spot, and the wind had destroyed the umbrella. As a hunter in Maine, I am sure you know that, in some seasons, you do not see anything during the daylight. Sorry to hear of your misfortune this year with deer hunting. Hopefully, next season is better for you. I completely understand your back and its issues. I too have back issues, wrist issues, shoulder issues, etc... That is why I had to do most of my hunting this season from my truck. I was lucky enough to get a doe with my muzzleloader. Well, I feel I have talked your ear off enough for now. Get out and scout right now this is when you will see where they are traveling during deer season. Also switch up what hand you carry your gun in, that might explain your right shoulder pain you we’re having. On to ice fishing. Hope you and yours had a great holiday season and great new year.
You get years like that. Low back pain really sucks, got it myself. Can walk around for a half hour then it hits, so you definitely have to change up your tactics. Nice video, good luck with your back.

Have had surgerys on my back. Sorry you didn't get to use the trees umbrella. Your deer season comes in early. The umbrella can used in various ways. Makes a good turkey hide. My uncle has deer hunted since he was 13 and is now 76.. He is a walk in blind kind of hunter, meaning he never scouted and was not very picky with regards to the deer he harvested.. At the age of 70, he finally got a buck that broke the 200lb mark..Like with most things, 99 percent of the time, the return we get from anything must match what we put into it..

I found a deer sign that smelled pretty bad it was scrape to down in the field behind my buddies house.
