I have a thrifted baby quilt I’ve been hanging on to make a vest also… the fear of cutting into it is real!! You did a fantastic job!

I hope you took good pictures of the quilt beforehand! Would be cute as a picture to put on the wall and then your matching vest!

I bet the lumpy bit is because that moon was probably stuffed to be 3D like and "puffy" and over time with all the washing etc it just started clumping up together!

Aaawwwww I love that quilt. Also, where did you get the macaroon tape measure? I have a cloud one but the end keeps breaking off to where now I think nearly 1cm is gone. Do you have a dehumidifier? That might help inside feel more tolerable. 12:00 Oohhh so that's why quilts have that overstitching. Apparently that batting bunching is what happens when you don't do that XD. I looove how it turned out. 🤔 What if it's paired with high waisted, yellow pants with more instruments and clouds. 15:35 Hook and bar or hook and eye. The bar is for overlapping, the eye is to butt together.
Dragonair- I finally got part 1 of 4 done with the eyes :D. (As of watching this video, but it's still finished.) So the black area is completely done on 1 eye. Next is not doing the black area of the other eye. Instead, I'm testing out different ways to do the iris aspect. I got the tester set up for tomorrow/ likely during my next meeting.
Also, I'm trying so hard to not buy material to make a giant motif quilt, like a scene. Maybe kinda stained glass style inspired? But also just full on a 2nd quilt that's crocheted to look like stained glass. I did get the material to mend the existing quilt when joanns had their 10 for $10 fabric quarters. I want to actually finish some of the longer projects this year and not add to it... too much. Also found a video on tambour embroidery.... so tempting. But, this month I'm thinking of FINALLY buying the tops for my desk. Will have to make sure the garage is ready first though.
I played a game this past week called Bugsnax. Might be too cutesy for your style, but now I want to create some of the creatures from it XD. I found an orange peel bug on ravelry and that's how I figured out the game existed. You might like it.

the tape measurer is actually a little pie that my friend made me! she did micro crochet with basically thread around an existing tape measurer, its sooooo adorable and neat. I love those ideas!! OMFG i love the idea of a stained glass quilt! I simply need to get better at patchwork piecing so i can make quilts like you are describing!
ok i have always wanted to play bugsnax!! this might be my push to go download it LOL
