I love hearing the mega ramp stories, competition strategies, chasing the ollie 720, and all the technical skate stuff. I can't wait to see Jagger win gold this year. What a skater!
I'm not a skater; I just love listening to REAL people. Tony and Jason are two of my favorite people in the world! And I love the skater guests, too; so unassuming and cool.
Exactly. Most other podcasts can get soo annoying after awhile with constant ego jabbering. HvW is like asmr to me. But never boring and real and funny
Awesome dude and episode! Try to get; PLG Jake Brown Bob Burnquist Brian Schaefer "Skatepark of Tampa" bringing vert back to Florida Riley Aaron "Jaws" Birdhouse team
LET'S GET IT GUYS!!! I love me some Tony and Jason!!! I remember the first time I watched Armageddon and you punched the vert, you thought about it, gave up, turned around and punched the vert... 😅 It sucks 😂🤣 💯💪🏽💯
Lol..Listening to them talk about vert injuries ,made me remember sk8ing vert in the late 80's/early 90's..and that feeling of having no control just before you take a bad slam..lol..I actually had flash backs for a second..thanks guys! Lol
I am a big fan of usa park and street skating and for some reason I haven’t always been a big fan of Jagger. I am not sure why but I am coming around on his skating. I even bought a Jagger deck a couple weeks ago. It was a tech deck but i have in proudly displayed at my work cubicle. I think the last cycle of Olympics in park it was similar to the Hawk v. Hosoi era. Just it was Tom Schaar v. Jagger Eaton. I am older now and appreciate the talent of all of you skaters but probably was more of a Hosoi fan witch made me a Schaar fan. I don’t know if that makes sense to anyone or if anyone else had a similar opinion. Style V. Tricks. The whole skateboard community has room for everyone now. With age similar to Jason, we have evolved and become more accepting of all skaters. At the beginning of the show, Jason said he hurt his hand, punching someone and said Andy McDonald. and at first I thought his hand was hurt from punching Andy. Later I realized Andy was on the ramp and that’s what Jason was just in the middle of one story and was briefly distracted. My favorite part of this interview were the shots fired by Tony about his heel flip compared to Jason. Classic. I think the show is always better when you have a skate guest. but maybe that’s just me and I’m probably not your target demographic.
I trained in Tae Kwon Do and had a moment where I nearly had to defend myself when kids tried to snatch my purse. My first instinct was to run after them, but then I said to myself that goes against everything I learned in tae kwon do it’s not worth my life, stopped running, and they dropped it and ran off. I was so glad that I had the training if I would’ve had to have defended myself, but I’m glad that it didn’t get to that point!
Tony gets the best out of these skaters. They have so much respect for him that they just become humble, probably showing their real personas, unlike the image they can sometime portray on other occasions. I didnt warm to Jagger at all as he was giving me those ultra competitive Nyjah vibes at competitions but seeing him here has turned that right around. Now I just think hes a genuine cool kid who just wants to win. It was the same with Jamie Thomas. Didnt like him so much on the 9 Club but got to see what I think was the real him on here. Now I'm a big fan. And there's absolutely zero doubt we got to see the real Heath. Ive watched that episode 5 times and it still cracks me up. The Nine Club does a great job and the guests can puff their chests out a bit more but on here you can see they are just loving sitting with Tony and chatting for an hour. Tbh who wouldn't. The reverence and respect for Tony is abundantly clear. As it should be.
This guy gets a LOT of hate from the "skate community",but say what you like, you can't deny it,Jagger Eaton fucking rips. That recent skate park comp run was fucking INSANE and on top of that he's got style for days,so he's not on FA/HOCKEY or SYFY/ FANTASY but honestly, deep down 99% of skaters would kill to be able to skate like Jagger.
Im from Az his parents own KTR a few locations, indoor skateparks, had a private park growing up. Constantly hated on the home park the wedge talk ish about it. Until COVID happened and then the wedge was cool and stopped hating for like a week. Then went back to shitting on the park and the people that skate it.
Don't know how I feel about the stem cell recovery. Not like in a religious, but more like in a jealous way. I have been skateboarding for 22 years and have had my share of injuries specifically the ankles. 3 to 6 months recovery sucks. I wish I had access to this kind of medical situation. But I know they have worked hard to get to where they are at and being able to afford that stuff comes with the level these dudes are at. Just wondering if I am alone in that or not.
Very talented guys but here even experienced street skateboarders couldn't find many things to relate to because it's mostly about vert. I wish the whole podcast was structured. As someone who is generally curious and admire Jagger I hoped to hear more from him because there's hardly any podcast that hosted him. This seems like a lost opportunity.
"You learn concrete is undefeated when you're young."
Absolutely magnificent.
I love hearing the mega ramp stories, competition strategies, chasing the ollie 720, and all the technical skate stuff. I can't wait to see Jagger win gold this year. What a skater!
"I'm not that good, dude... you guys are awesome" ... love Ellis haha :D

LET'S GET IT GUYS!!! I love me some Tony and Jason!!! I remember the first time I watched Armageddon and you punched the vert, you thought about it, gave up, turned around and punched the vert... 😅 It sucks 😂🤣

"I'm a hidden character in one of Tony's video games" Jason Ellis is a legend!!!
Lol..Listening to them talk about vert injuries ,made me remember sk8ing vert in the late 80's/early 90's..and that feeling of having no control just before you take a bad slam..lol..I actually had flash backs for a second..thanks guys!

Don't you know your mom is a highly respected matron of the people?

This Jagger kid is giving me young Rodney Mullen vibes. 👍
The pause screen keeps flashing on this video. Good thing I'm not epileptic.
nice podcast this one, jagger the skater who made usa a medalist in skateboarding 🛹
Looks like someone was mindblown and picked up the signed Energy Dome. Good to see. Very few Spudboys have ever gotten such a chance.
