I feel beyond bad for her, she's such a bright soul, despite her condition she is such a sweet positive woman. She can't do a lot of things that a woman her age could do, she must feel trapped often. My heart breaks for her. I hope somehow her life is mostly all she wants it to be despite and I hope her legs get sorted. She doesn't heed more hastle.
Clearly at the end Jyoti states that she isn’t interested in any surgeries to correct the issues in her legs. She must live in tremendous pain. These old injuries to her legs could take her life at the same time. That makes me so sad. She is such a beautiful and sweet tiny woman. Key being woman. I think she knows the possible outcome deep down inside but is just too afraid to take the chance. I’m not sure what I would do if I was her. I just pray everything works out well for her and how SHE wants it to.

For example Steven Hawking was told by doctors after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 1963 when he was just 21 that he had at most 2 years to live and he lived until he was 76. And I suppose you would have to put Jyoti Amge in the same situation with her parents being told she had hours at most and she's still here with us some 27 years later.
