Over the course of 5 days, Kaylie DeShane gave birth to Cian, Declan and Rowan DeShane. The journey was tough - the triplets were born at 22 weeks into the Kaylie's pregnancy and eventually in different decades to one another.

Two different decades. For a moment I thought "how could they possibly have been born in three different decades?" 😂
SAME, something about the wording makes you think each triplets were born in three different decades instead of one baby born at the end of the decade and the other 2 born at the start of the new decade.
So it's not just me. 😂
Same. I was left thinking maybe they stored her eggs or something. Then read the video title twice until I realized it didn't say three decades.
Same
'Across 2 decades' would be a better title
For me the crazier fact is that the identical twins don’t share a birthday, but one of them shares a birthday with their sister! That’s too cute.
He can always pull the "I'm the eldest! 😤"
@@mischr13 Honestly with a birth like that he’s more than earned it!
Arent they considered triplets? What would they tell their friends at school? Are they twins or triplets. If twins then whats the sister?
@@Kimyx3Angel All three are triplets but the boys are identically twins within that. So two eggs were fertilised but one of those eggs split in two to form the twins. So as a collective they are triplets but also have a twin pair within that. (I hope this makes sense).
@@Kimyx3Angel They’re triplets. Multiple babies like twins or triplets don’t always look the same. 2 babies are identical which is why the video said twins. The 3rd baby is just another sibling. Like the fraternal baby. The baby is not identical with the other 2. If I remember biology class correctly, the mom probably released two eggs. One egg split after fertilization early in development . That’s the twins. Then the second egg is a normal egg. That’s the fraternal triplet. Fraternal meaning the girl will be no more alike to her siblings than if she was a 1 birth baby. A non triplet or non twin. A fraternal baby also means there must’ve been two different sperm that each fertilized an egg.
This shows the strength of women. The fact that she was bale to endure all of this for the sake of her babies shows how strong and amazing she is. I'm glad the triplets and mom are healthy.
Not at all. She risked the lifes of all three of her children. And didn´t care if the first born suffers or not.
That´s not amazing, that just egoistic
@@jimena1862You have no idea about the mental aspect of going through this, even if it's "just" one of the three babies. Calling it ego is not only uninformed, but insensitive.
@@GMPranav You are looking at tis from an emotional point of view. I don´t know if I would have acted the same. However rationally her behaviour was wrong
@@jimena1862 Her behaviour is what she felt was right and what her body can bear. While you might have acted differently in her situation, that makes neither you nor her wrong.
@@GMPranav Rsiking the lives of your children ist right?
Kudos to your hospital staff who fought for your little ones, it's sad but true that not many are willing or able to support such tiny humans. So happy you and your family made it through this!
I think a more intriguing title would be about the fact that the identical twins don't have the same birthday, but one of the twins shares a birthday with their triplet sister.
I didn't even think of that you're right
Not really, it happens all the time especially when giving birth at night
yessssssss
Yeah it’s kind of misleading lol
THAT'S the craziest thing you got from this story its the 5 plus days of labour for me
The fact all three are completely normal through what they had been through and came through with no brain issues is so lucky
My twin, myself and our mother also had an extremely difficult pregnancy and delivery (together.) my identical twin and I were perfectly typical up until the age of seven, things then started to decline and today we both suffer a whole host of crippling physical and mental health issues. My point is sometimes the damage caused by the trauma of these births isn’t visible at first, but grows from a tiny seed, bigger, bigger, ‘till the damage is finally visible. Not being a pessimist, honestly, I just like to to keep things real.
Their faces and eyes. They have dysmorphic features - they may be healthy now but eventually the gaps will show.
@@DevonPixie1991 I agree I thought exactly the same, but after looking back in the video twice, I think the dad looks also like the triplets. the eyes and the face are really similar. So now I am lost about this proof. 😅 However, I’m sure You can't be born at 22 weeks without having some problems later.
It not luck it's a miracle
Is anyone really "normal," though?
Imagine telling your triplets why they don’t have the same birthday one day, it’s so sweet how they wanted to save their babies.
So grateful that Guinness World Records made it possible for Kaylie to share about her extraordinary miracle and fight to keep and deliver her BEAUTIFUL, healthy babies with the world. She is well worth the recognition and celebration!
“I just killed our babies” that rocked me to my core.
For anyone experiencing pregnancy loss, it is not your fault. It is not your bodies fault. Life and biology can be cruel at times, but never blame yourself for that ❤️
Tell that to abortionists
@@cooliipie there's nothing wrong with having an abortion dude. There's so many reasonable reasons as to why people abort a fetus.
@@cooliipie so you prefer women who don’t want children to have them? You like the idea of unwanted babies being shuffled through foster care all their life? How many children have you adopted?
@@cooliipie this comment wasn't about abortion. It was about miscarriage. Don't compare the two.
@@cooliipie Don't minimize what women who experience miscarriage suffer through by deflecting the issues and bringing up abortion. This is not the time and place to talk about it. Seriously. Allow mothers who lose children a chance to grieve and talk about it without storming into the conversation and using it as a chance to spew your political and religious convictions.
I don’t even find it interesting that they were born different decades I find it so amazing how all three of them survived Such a scary dangerous birth. At this point they can get through anything absolutely amazing
Yeah and that was her choice
@@randomness2k027 yes, she and the babies were actually very lucky!
It easily could have turned out badly for all of them.
I SOO AGREE
That's probably the least interesting part about their amazing story. The miracle of modern science. What a time to be alive...
Four, all four of them survived. Can't forget their mom
this totally kicks. i'm one of triplets (girl/boy/boy too!) born at 27 weeks and this is awesome to see - my parents both have ptsd from our birth so i know what a huge deal it is. massive massive congrats to them :') !!
That's crazy, my brothers and I (we're also triplets) were born at 27 weeks as well! My mom almost died having us
I was 28 weeks. Doctors told my family to give me last kisses and hugs. But my grandpa was happy that i survive. But they did'nt have all the equipment stuff like they do these days back in the 90's. I see my baby pictures and i can tell you. Its creepy looking and sad
Raising a 26 weeker presently and it is both amazing what little ones can survive, as you all are brilliant evidence of, and horribly terrifying being a parent in that experience. I hope that life has been well for you all and your parents and continues to be kind. ❤️ You all are amazing.
@@lovejoy333 Did you have the baby? I hope so!
My preemie was due in March and born just before Christmas. We called her our little tax deduction, lol, you get credit for the whole year! She was tiny and red as well, but now a brilliant high schooler, it’s amazing what they can do for these very little ones.
That is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
LOL
I was born on new years eve, and I also get called that sometimes! 😊
I thought this would be a "in labor on New Years Eve" sort of situation, but nope! I've never heard of identicals being born more than 24 hours apart. Amazing story! Congrats to everyone involved, especially the triplets!
well then clearly, you have never heard how Apollo was born NINE DAYS AFTER his twin sister lol
(this is a joke, I know they're not real!)
@@carmenmercedes9903 You are correct.
I had twin cousins who were born a day apart and so I always knew twins can be born a few hours or days apart and not just the usual few minutes apart. Growing up with them it was kinda normal for me. But when people learn of this, they always look at me like I’ve grown two heads haha. But 5 days is definitely quite a huge gap!
The record for babies born apart is 90 days, though that was twins
@@Npyne damn
The title is legit, but also misleading. I thought this was going to be one of those stories where they froze some eggs/sperms/fetuses etc and so they were born in different years. This is still miraculous though. This woman's body put her through hell but she fought back and won.
Same
I thought it would be about having a set of triplets in her teens, twenties and thirties
It’s not misleading at all. I immediately understood what it meant.
You can clearly see they are the same age from the thumbnail.
@@rileyywhited they drummed it up a bit lmao. They were born not that far apart, and it just happened to be a new year and new decade. Im talking about cases where twins are actually born years apart. Like stories where invitro worked, made twins, but only one baby was taken to term and the other was frozen for several years. I read a story about a pair of twins born 4 years apart but they are actual, real, genetically same twins.
From someone who had a horrible first pregnancy that left me with ptsd, and so much guilt from not being strong enough. I salute you mama you are so strong! I wish you and your family the best!
You're amazing and strong too, wishing you the best!
@@ashwholesome7465 Thank you so much that truly means a lot! Wishing you the best as well 🧡
That's right, never end life. Even if the chance of survival is low, it's there still. I'm so glad they all pulled through. Kaylie is so strong, she worked through everything for her babies.
That's what i said!
What if one fetus needs to be aborted in order to save the others? What if it's the mother's life that is at risk?
@@-.._.-_...-_.._-..__..._.-.-.- i think if i was in such a situation i would , save 2 instead of loose all 3
@@-.._.-_...-_.._-..__..._.-.-.-Lol he’s basically just saying to logicallessly move through life 😂
Say someone had two of his friends at gunpoint, and wanted him to just choose one to live, but he didn’t because “Even if the chance of survival is low we must save all”
But this is just taking what he said _technically._ cmon, you know what he actually meant. If you _can_ save a life, do it. That’s the moral.
@@-.._.-_...-_.._-..__..._.-.-.- If I had kids I would put my baby over myself. I love children so much.
No one talks about how incredible is the mother !! She had to get her cervix sewn up shut!! And delivering 3 babies! And all the complications!! What an amazing women to sacrifice so much for her 3 babies !
I’m fairly certain she was praised within the video itself.
DAMMIT I MISSED 666
Getting the cervix sewn isn't all that uncommon though...
Getting your cervix sewn shut is actually not as uncommon or as painful as you would expect
Women are amazing ❤️
Can we also talk about how great these parents are and what a nice family they have created with a step-child, an adopted child, and triplets! I wish them all happiness and great health!
I was gonna say! Having triplets is quite overwhelming, but to have a teenage daughter and an adopted son is beyond imagination.
Kudos to this beautiful family! I hope they remain happy.
Sure, we can also talk about that. Do you want to elaborate?
@@jayceontaylor9209 it’s pretty awesome. It’s like having a family with a story behind where they all came from. And that’s the parents love them all do much
That is what I noticed. They are awesome individuals.
I'm confused. Is the stepsister not related to either of the parents? Cause otherwise she would be a half sister.
How adorable. What a blessing. They're gorgeous. Many blessings to these children and this entire family.
I love how he says “they want to eat ALL the time” you can tell just from that statement how much they spend on food. Amazing parents and mom is a warrior!
One gripe with the reporting: the teen girl is not a step sister but a half sister. Step siblings are not blood related to to each other but half siblings share one parent. She has the same dad as the triplets.
I was also confused by this. There is no way she could be their step sister. Unless a parent got remarried after they were born. But that doesn't seem to be the order of events in the video.....
I saw that too. And the adopted son bit. Like that’s their child as well. Step sister should’ve been half sister or just sister
@@Scorpiove i mean its possible hes not the father but it seems unlikely, who knows tho
I was very confused by this a well. But then I thought maybe mom had to use donated sperm for her IVF? Maybe the triplets aren’t his biologically?
@@anti8924 yeah, I mean, the "adopted" part was totally unecessary
My water broke with my twins at 19 weeks and i completely understand that feeling that you and your body failed your babies 😔 i couldn't stop apologizing to my husband... i felt it was all my fault. Thankfully though, my babies held on strong until 28 weeks 🥰 they are now 2 and perfect! Your story touched my heart so much and im so happy that everything turned out perfectly!
That is great to learn. The fact that babies can survive from so early on is a miracle of our modern medicine. Wish you guys all the best😊
So happy for you. Wish your beautiful toddlers the best x
im so happy for u!
I looked after a lady who's waters broke at 18 weeks. She made it to 37 weeks, the whole time leaking copious amounts of liquor.

So wonderful to see and hear the journey of their prescious babies. Life is a gift Best wishes to this family

huh
This is what I want to see on RUclips. I’m a triplet, and to imagine how much fear and joy my own mother had to go through is amazing.
But, in this case, the woman in the video is one of the bravest people I have ever seen, and will be (and is) a wonderful mother. She did everything to make sure her children stayed alive. SUPERMOM RIGHT THERE
💛☺️💛☺️💛☺️
Yes!!!
Wow that must be cool.
My husband is a quadruplet, however only 3 of them survived the birth so they refer to themselves as triplets. No IVF involved and she was unaware she was carrying quadruplets as she didn't go for her regular ultrasounds which probably led to the 4th one not surviving :( they were born at 31 weeks and were very sick.
I'm only a twinsie so i feel so average compared to you triplets, quadruplets etc 😂😂😂
Crazy how things turn out. Definitely three little warriors and mama is a queen!💜
5:44 laughing that seems like a bit more
Crazy that the identical twins have different birthdays but the non identical twin triplet does have a twin birthday with one of the twins. It's cool how that happened
and one of the twins is much older than their other triplet siblings XD i’m glad they seem happy and healthy
They are soo adorable and strong fighters mom you did well. Glad everyone is okay now!
I'm a triplet and the baby pictures of my brother look bright red. We were born at 24 weeks. It'll always be crazy, but you'll get used to the chaos. It'll be 24 years in November, so hang tough and lean on your community. It really does take a village.
Loved reading your experience and hope life has been well for you and your parents.
Im a 24-weeker and looking back at me i looked like the literal ugliest baby in the world
5:43 Holden why would you do that 😭

😂 terrible
Such a strong mum. I’m hoping her and the kids are doing well physically after all that
What happened The father
I'm a fraternal twin of two identical twins (we are triplets 😊) from a natural pregnancy. We were born by c-section at 8 months and got put into incubators 👶👶👶
So cool. I want to have multiples so bad in the future. I was also born at 8 months(not a twin tho) but I never had to be in the NICU at all, I went home 2 days after I was born.
My twin brother actually absorbed the other triplet, poor kiddo.
Very cool! My best friends in high school were triplets via IVF. All fraternal. We're still friends but we all went to different universities.
@Kitty Silverlake I’m fascinated by multiples
Wow, that’s incredible that’s even possible, I had no idea! Your mom is a rockstar!
5:43 W Thrusts Lil Bro!
thought it was only me that noticed 💀💀💀💀
This is what real parenting looks like. Never giving up on the babies even when they are in the womb❤️
My friend's mom had triplets at 27 weeks. They all survived and are married now.
Don't dare blame yourself for your waters breaking early, nature is nature, you are an amazing woman for everything you went through and with such a supporting father too x
Absolutely beautiful story. I found myself getting choked up along with their mother at times. I’m so happy that everyone’s OK.
5:43 woah. !
I'm 22 weeks now. I got lucky because I had fertility treatment, and I released 3 eggs. I could have gotten any number of embryos from zero to three, and I lucked out and got one. I had a lot of miscarriages, so I'm grateful to know he could survive.
Wishing you all the best. Motherhood is like nothing else in life!

This video just came to my recommendations and it can't be a coincidence, it just can't... Today, I and my siblings (we are triplets too 😁) are turning to 19 and watching the struggles of this brave family made me emotional. As my mom told us, our birth was also quite troublesome. So many doctors have tried to convince mom to gave up on one of the babies. (I am glad she didn't listen them😅) Being three is something special, I am so happy for these kids that they will always have each other like we do:)
Happy birthday 🖤🖤 to you and your siblings 🥺🖤

Happy Birthday to you and your siblings ❤️❤️🎉
Happy Birthday to all 3 of you!!!!!
happy belated birthday to you guys! 🎉🎉❤️❤️
I'm so happy she lived through that infection to watch these three little miracles grow alongside the two older babies she has. It would've been such a horrid thing if she had passed from that (which isn't uncommon at all sadly) after the big struggle to have these babies 😭💗 they are all so wonderful and cute and the two older siblings both look so happy to be able to love on those three and help them explore the world 🥰
This one made me cry. All of them were fighter's and warrior's!!!
My son and his cousin were born on a different day, week, month, year, decade, century and millennium, but they are only one month apart in age. Her birthday Dec 9th 1999, my son's birthday Jan 9th 2000.

Wow having to be sewed shut to keep your babies inside is the most fierce thing I've ever heard of a woman doing !!!😳🦁💪🏼
They gave them all Irish names. For anyone interested: "Rowan" , comes from the Irish name Ruadhán and translates to red haired.
That’s awesome, never knew Rowan was a Irish name lol. I only know one Irish girl name and it’s Siobhán and I absolutely adore that name. Irish names are very beautiful lol.
i like names with history. millennial baby names are the worst out of any generation so far, nonsense spellings with an air of forced uniqueness, it’s just tacky. i think my kids are going to be named after great grandparents, easy to spell and pronounce lol. a kid shouldn’t be pressured to be special or unique.
@@britney5256 Don't put it down to the generation, weirder names were found in the Victorian times.

I’m proud and happy for BOTH of these two strong parents SO much, it’s sad how people don’t understand that their favorite pregnant celeb is more known than these kind of beautiful stories. I cry of joy, because these 3 Miracles have some amazing parents .
What an incredibly strong family, all of them!!! Those kids are fighters!
These parents are so strong and love their babies so much 🥺 I cried watching this. I’m so glad they have a beautiful, healthy family. They all went through so much.
This is precious. Im so glad they were all ok. Im a twin and my brother and i were born premature. We were 4 weeks premature....i realise its not the same as this but he ended really sick and in an incubator. To think i could have lost my only sibling is horrible but he pulled through. Im glad these 3 beautiful babies found the strength to pull through
So much love in one video. This family is incredible.
She’s so strong, I’m so proud of her- I hope she’s truly proud of herself. This is inspiring. I’m genuinely moved 💞
It’s amazing how medicine has progressed so much. It kept these babies and this mother alive. It’s so crazy to almost have seen them grow. Congrats and I hope they have a healthy and happy future ❤️
What an amazing amazing story the human body is truly wonderful. I teared up looking at how big Cain, Rowan and Declan are from how tiny they where 😭💙💙💗
This brings tears to my eyes...the hospital told me my almost 22 week old daughter who was healthy wasnt going to survive and they will not do anything to help her. So i watched her die in my arms 3 hours after being born. It was the saddest hardest day in my life. I had a cerclage with my second pregnancy and i made it to 38 weeks.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. :(
Rowan and Declan were born on my 13th birthday! I’m so glad that the whole family was alright. You guys were so strong through such hard times I can’t even imagine how hard that must have been
5:43 woah okay

Interesting family: A daughter from a previous relationship, an adopted son, identical twins (born 5 days apart) that also happen to be a part of a trio.
A mouthful in explanation but still a home full of love.🙂❤️
I'm a little confused how the older sister is a step. Did they mean half? (Not assuming the commenter I'm responding to would know. Just thinking out loud)
Yeah that confused me too I had to check the description to see their last names and they’re the same so it’s most likely the dad’s daughter but yeah it should say just sister since they do have a blood relation
@@harrypotterfantng she's a half sister. I'm pretty sure they just got that wrong. She calls the dad 'dad' and she calls the mom by her name.
i am the half sister of the triplets i have no idea why they said step
@naveahdeshane7682 I was confused on that but guessed you were half sister (my sister and I are half and she always used to say which half). Amazing family.
The whole story is more interesting than just them being born in different decades
They were all born in the same decade. The new decade began in 2021.
My daughter and son in law tried for years. My daughter would become pregnant, 1st trimester, miscarried 3 times. One was a set of twins. This really took me back...they are in the process of adopting twins they have fostered for 3 years.
This is an emotional story. I have to admit that it made me cry along with Mama.
I can only imagine their birthdays would be very confusing to explain to people as they grow up.
"Ok so there are triplets, but one of them is born the year before? Oh, but only a few days before, as they're all born around New Year's. The other two have the same birthday though? I assume that's the identical twins? No?! The identical twins have different birthdays? Wait, so the identical twins are 1 year apart? Oh right, just a few days yeah. Wait, so are they in the same grade at school? When do you celebrate their birthdays and how..."
- I had triplets, twin boys and a girl
- wow, that couldn't have been easy
- no, one was born and then I birthed the other two five days later.
- does your daughter like being older?
- no, it was one of the twins who was born first.
😂😂💙💙💙
I’m beyond glad that your miracle babies are ok! What little warriors!!
These babies are fighters and are so strong and I pray they grow stronger and healthier
I'm so glad the hospital did all they could to save them
I'm so glad they have their happy family... many prayers and best wishes they'll always be happy
I was born as triplets as well with a two minute gap each. But sadly the oldest died after 15 days. It still breaks my heart bcuz I didn't even get the chance to see him. Really respect the parents who have been through a lot.
I am so happy that they are ok and happy and thriving and at the beginning i thought they weren’t going to make it but those triplets fought so strongly more then i can myself.
I’m sobbing. Bless these babies and their amazing parents ❤️
Loved this combination step sister, adopted brother and the identical triplets 😍😍❤ bless you all
Thank goodness the babies are okay. My sister was very similar, came out two and 3/4 months too early. The doctors told us she wouldn’t make it, but she defied the odds, because she was a big eater when she was in the nicu. She drank milk well, and gained enough weight, so two months later, she was able to come home. She’s fine now, and still loves food
Surviving at 22 week and being home 4 months later is super amazing. So happy for this family.
Such a beautiful story ♥️ Something very similar happened with me. I had my twin girls at 25 weeks, due to an incompetent cervix. Only I wasn’t aware my cervix was incompetent until our anatomy scan. I went to my ob that day and didn’t go home until a month later when I gave birth. Both of my girls survived with no complications. Sending love to anyone searching the internet for answers during a difficult or uncertain time ♥️♥️
I had my singlet at 26 weeks also from undiagnosed cervical insufficiency. I love hearing you and your twins are well. ❤️

Wow. Incredible. They truly are miracles. I was scared having my son at 35 weeks I cannot imagine the panic and worry she must’ve felt in the moment they told her Cian was coming. My son was the cut off for the hospital I delivered at. They wouldn’t have even taken us if I was a day earlier. I can’t even fathom the nicu stay rollercoasters they went through.
