    Can we please just respect Misty? No one ever said Misty was the one who made the title to this video.. I am a dancer and yes, these stretches are the standard of all dancers, it is not standard to an average person. Even the slightest lunge is hard to do for most people. Let Misty breathe golly!

      I literally don’t see anything disrespecting her, regardless that’s on them for taking this video out of context as a normal person can still easily do all these stretches, just not as deeply

    "...Superhuman Ballerina Flexibility"
    *insert russian ballerina*

    • @EAY2211

      To the outside world, any ballerina is flexible. Besides, Misty started dancing during her teens which is quite impressive considering how far she went. She might no be as noticable as Zakharova or any other east-european ballet star but her extensions, développés are quite high. She's obviously not stretching to her maximum capacities in this video. Just a non-dancer's opinion.

    • @zeddnl6514
      @zeddnl6514 7 лет назад +12

      Looking from an ordinary person's point of view or from a non-dancer, some might say that it's *superhuman* and some may not. Very subjective. From a dancer's point of view, from *my* point of view, her extensions are high enough. Quite high if you wanna put it that way.

      I agree with you. We also have to remember how harsh Russian ballet teachers are, how many injuries and pain Russian ballerinas go through because of their system, on top of the pain that all ballerinas get. Russian way of teaching ballet is very harsh and not very safe, if you campers it with the UK, or US or Australia etc.@@EAY2211

    Although I agree, she does not have superhuman ballerina flexibility, she is still almost that much to the average eye. A normal person who doesn't work in careers like ballet, gymnastics, contortion, or figure skating may as well see her having it since they're comparing her to themselves when they can't simply do a split.

    Please! Where is the superhuman flexibility? For a ballet dancer this is the routine...Take a look inside Vaganova academy of russian ballet and then we can talk about extreme flexibility.

      @alecsia96 7 лет назад +4

      Her flexibility is normal compared to her colleagues at ABT. She has hypermobile joints and hyperextended knees too. To say 'superhuman' would imply that she resembles a contortionist, or that she's more flexible than the average 21st century ballerina. 'Superhuman' in my view would be Alina Somova or Oksana Skorik, and it's not like their extreme flexibility does anything for their dancing. Mass media just wants to sell MC as "superhuman", no matter what.

    it's so funny that you think is more the best human... because that's what "super" means. Super = best... So you implicate that this being is best human in the world... I have to disagree... She is JUST a ballerina... she is earning money by her body... I think there are better people than her... for example scientists, doctors, teachers... She is paid just because she is beautifule doll on a stage... that is not a definition of the best human for me...

      Do you even know how ballet works?? I cringed so bad reading this. Being a ballerina is such a honor, honestly if u saw a ballerina u should bow to them. Ballet is one of the most hardest careers ever, its requires huge commitment and everything. So I have no idea why you're saying "sHeS jUsT a BaLlErInA". Get your facts straight. You don't even know what ballet is 😒 smh
