Dewalt showed us a come from behind victory for the ages. He never overcommitted, methodically expanded, and just pieced Gypsy apart. I think Dewalt just proved he's the best foreigner, and by a decent margin.
I dunno..... a few vids ago I asked if Dewalt was not the best protoss foreigner, not Bonyth, and everyone disagreed with me. But comparing how Dewalt handled Gypsy vs how Bonyth played, I'm pretty sure Dewalt is better.
Bonyths skill hasn't been the same since he became a father. Sadly for us Starcraft lovers, Bony's real life responsibilities have been interfering with him for a long while - even now he's probably playing at around 65%, no where near his old hay day.
I used to do hallucinated recalls of carriers and drop ships filled with zealots. I think I managed to fit 3-4 carriers into one recall. I also loved mind controlling a terran SCV and making nukes :P
Spoiler alert This is some of the most amazing PvT I have ever seen . DeWalt taking some insanely efficient fights and showcasing incredible positioning and control. It's very rare to see a supply disadvantage protoss take a win like this, goes to show that Dewalt really wanted the win and was willing to claw his way back into the game
His bank = Where do I fit my turrets & there's no space for my factories! I would have liked to see more small groups of vultures go and snipe the 3 or 4 (once or twice 5) High Templar with full energy during his pushes.
I think they have to go around cannons like everything else, scarab pathing is kinda wack and the shots take forever to come out and also cost minerals to produce so its probably better to get a guarantee shot off on the enemies and risk getting hit than placing them safe and not landing a hit at all. Scarabs also only have a range of 8 vs the Siege Tanks 12 so your Reaver would need to crawl up to the tank anyway if the Terran placed their Tank at max range to hit your cannon which would put the Reaver in danger anyway.
*** SPOILERS *** What a sick game. Incredible comeback by Dewalt. He was almost never ahead except the last few minutes. The storms on the reinforcing terran army were huge. Arty, some camera-related thoughts...In my opinion, I would sparingly use zoom-out, especially when it's near max because you can barely see what's happening. Maybe I'm just used to pro matches where the observer rarely zooms out. They pretty much only zoom out when it's critical to see more of the screen. Another thing, this isn't a big deal since you don't use it often, but that camera feature where you focus and follow a single unit and the screen moves with it...I don't know about anyone else, but I absolutely loathe it...and I'm not sure what function it's supposed to serve since it makes it harder to see what's happening.
If you think about it, Russia's border is really not that far of South Korea. That surely explains why Dewalt plays so good! While it was a very nice match, I kind of hoped that Gypsy would win. Especially after he cleared 12o'clock and inner 10:30 o'clock. Though I can't say I've seen any big mistake. He really simply didn't had enough effective APM I guess.

Thanksfully the more interesting player won this game. Gypsie played well, but very boring and defenisve after an offensive start and one single vulture drop. Dewalts tactics were far more entertaining(specially the illusion arbiters).
Hello Artosis, I like watching your videos, but you make too many movements on the screen and sometimes you don't show the broader plan to understand what's going on. ok, but a bit less dynamic. Regards
Honestly, Gypsy probably made the right call with the first bust attempt with 2/1 since he had the macro advantage and was maxed out/ahead in supply, but he was so paranoid about a potential backstab from the rogue dragoon group that he left a lot of tanks and vultures at his 3d that weren't used in the push. But Dewalt never went for the backstab and instead used that roaming dragoon force to sandwich the push. You can see at 17:44 that Gypsy rallies those tanks to the push, albeit too late since his forward units have been decimated. I think his indecisiveness was his downfall in this game.
Really? He has been playing amazing the past several matches. He's looking so much better than say 6 months ago. I don't think the praise is unwarranted.

thats the first time I've seen a PvT which had a Protoss win after the T took the other main... crazy game.

This was a game for ghosts to be honest. Lockdown on arbiters would have been huge at least until the end where Dewalt did the hallucinations.

@@anonamos701 Scarabs get through cannons that are right next to each other. People would just rather use templar for that against Terran.

He went for gas and cybernetic goon range instead of early zealots, so he had nothing and if he had fought with probes only he would’ve lost too many.
the macro in this game is off the hook. both players just cranking units and trading armies all game long. so many losses on both sides
