Julia Ward Howe was inspired by hearing the American Civil War song in 1861. She liked the tune but not lyrics so wrote " Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory" . Classic Hymns has prayerfully chosen this hymn in the latest album released on 2nd Oct 2022 as the Assam Regiment uses the same tune for their song (Badluram Ka Badan - • Badluram Ka Badan orig... ). The chorus of the Assam Regiment song is retained as " Hallelujah". This song and tune is in the blood of every Assamese of all age groups and they sing it. The Lord has left a door of opportunity in it. By singing the original hymn, its surely a way to connect with the Nation and making hymns relavent .
