- The effects of Russia’s attack on Ukraine on 24 February 2022 - the first large-scale interstate war in an era dominated by intrastate conflicts - and the responses to it differed across the world. Ahead of the second anniversary of the invasion, the Bundeskanzler-Helmut-Schmidt-Stiftung (BKHS) and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) issue their new report: “From the Inside Out: Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution in a Changing World Order”.
During the event, Viviana García Pinzón (Arnold Bergstraesser Institute), Happymon Jacob (Jawaharlal Nehru University), Velma Šarić (Post-Conflict Research Center), Lidet Tadesse Shiferaw (European Centre for Development Policy Management), Tina Blohm (FES) and Julia Strasheim (BKHS) will discuss core findings and recommendations on:
- The Ukraine war’s impact on conflict-affected societies around the world,
- Past pitfalls of international peacebuilding at risk of being repeated,
- The future of peacebuilding in a changing global order.
The discussion is moderated by Kirsten Hartmann (BKHS).
