  • Guys - you have to see this camper. The level of creativity and ingenuity that went into the design of AT Overland's new Aterra Camper is simply fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Mario as we walked through their new camper.

    Been looking at building out my own van/truck camper as well. The dinette, spare bed, shower, toilet combo is an ingenious use of a small space. I wish we could get a look at what the shower is like all set up.

    This is the 2nd complete walk-around video that I've watched on this camper unit. It's awesome in nearly every detail. The only aspect that still hasn't been addressed is the VERY HIGH entry into the camper. All the videos show a step stool ladder outside the door. Someone needs to ask them what they have planned or available for easy entry into the camper unit. Some kind of an expandable step system needs to be incorporated into this rig!

      Depends on the flatbed option the customer chooses. Some will mount accordion style aluminum steps, some will carry a step ladder, OEV has built in step/ladder storage in their flatbed option. The step ladder was a last minute option before the show. They finished this camper a day, or two, before Expo.

      Isn't an Alu cabin more overlanding with it's soft tops compared to hard sided, flat bed models like these ones? This looks more available indoor livable space/cooking, where as the Alu Cab is for cooking, hanging outside.

    Very interesting product. Excellent design and layout innovation. But sorry to say, you real need to work on your video technique. Probably best to put the camera (DSLR) onto full auto, or semi auto, until you figure out how to control it manually. Also a monopole badly needed for stability to eliminate the really annoying shaky cam effect.

    I dont know anything about this world but, is $69k a good price ? Obviously I know people build cheaper rigs, more practical rigs, "less is more" rigs but, for somebody that had the money and didn't wanna bother with the building or rigging, and wanted a product that was gonna last, I would imagine that's a good price ?

    • @I4IA1
      @I4IA1 2 года назад

      It’s honestly not a too terrible price. I think you get more bang for your buck out of a lance 960 or cirrus 820. If you are interested at all in truck campers I personally just upgraded from a 2019 lance 960 to a 2022 and absolutely love it.
