yeah,animating with a mouse can be a real nightmare.I began with mouse too, then quickly switched to a laptop touchpad.This tutorial was done using that. Though if you're rly serious i highly recommend a wacom tablet, and lots of practice :)

Even with onion skinning. How do i make the character exactly the same every time, but with altered body movements? and how does the laptop make it better?
hey here are some suggestions in order to get better lines- 1.check your smooth settings on the brush and adjust it an optimum level 2.make faster strokes- dont make it tooo slowly just to get it right 3.a laptop touchpad gives you more control as you have to move your fingers to draw instead of a mouse 4.resizing is a pretty common problem, you're not alone :) try using graphs and guidelines If you need help i'll create a tut on preventing resizing of stickfigure..hope this helps :)

Hi the animation at the time was done in Macromedia Flash , now purchased by Adobe and called Adobe Animate. It is also really expensive, so as a free alternative you can check out "Opentoonz" which has powerful features too!

hey just stick to it! if your problem is in basic drawing i suggest u warm up with books such as "Drawing on the right side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards..not that it helps animating directly, but u'll be confident in putting your stick poses down.

I just subscribed! I downloaded but the only thing was that i couldn't open it with macromedia flash 8 . So i used Adobe flash cs5 ( On another computer). It was made wth cs6 :( . Anyways I kept drawing and drawing until i grew familiar with it .I will use this when i can post my first animation! . I will credit you as inspiration for the walking sequence (and everything else)

F5,F6 and F7 keys are generally used to create frames,keyframes, or empty keyframes. And you can travel keyframes simply with < or > keys
