Mercedes was, and always will be, one of my top 5 Glee characters. When she called Mr. Schue and Finn out for always letting Rachel be the star after being cast alongside her in the role of Maria, stating they are afraid of hurting her (Rachel's) feelings, I clapped so hard because she was so right. She deserved her spot in the light and she always has mic drop moments. Props Mercedes, you go girl

Her belts and high notes are amazing and incredible but it's disappointing that they didn't give her enough opportunities to showcase her softer tone. She's so versatile (not just with genres) but even with her singing style. The way she could transition from soft to powerful is just. . .ugh, words can't describe it. I love her so much!

Rachel was good but Mercedes was always my favorite. Was always glad when she got a solo and the highlight moment in Somebody to Love. The main competition she had to me was Unique.
She was there only to be the black girl. She deserved much better than that,she deserved more solos,more spotlight,more everything. I honestly feel that she could be even more successful than Rachel,but you know,the protagonist has to be the white girl Change my mind

Not just on Glee, but on the other show that she was on called "The Mayor." She wasn't the main character. Yet she supposedly bullied the main character. On the show she was playing an assistant to a guy running for mayor. She also supposedly bullied some of her Broadway costars. I have also dealt with bullies in the past. She seems like she got used to people stroking her ego and telling her how great she was. She and the late Naya Rivera didn't get along at all. Naya called a Lea "a spoiled diva". Hopefully Lea has learned something from the way she treated people. She is a mother now and hopefully she will be a good one. I prefer for people to grow and realize their mistakes and change.

And honestly I don't know why she was such a diva,she's very talented but she's not even THAT famous(maybe back then). Even if she were,that's not an excuse. I truly admire people who are very successful and down to earth at the same time,they have so much to give.

Any song from The Quarterback episode brings be to tears especially I’ll Stand By You & Make You Feel My Love. My other favorite Mercedes songs were Beautiful, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Bust Your Windows and Hell To The No.
