The thing that ANNOYS me the most, is that they act like she’s the best singer. She does have an amazing voice you can’t deny that, but there’s just no flavour and soul in her singing. Rachel was the worst character of glee. She only cared for herself, and when she didn't have the solos the insults everyone. In my opinion, Santana was the best character. And I love the number one episode, Valerie is definitly one of the best numbers of the show

Kirsti Johnson I mean I don’t think she’s gonna have much going for her, I forgot what company, but a company associated with her dropped her. I agree because Rachel/Les wasn’t really a role model for her fans. I remember when I watched glee in 8th grade, I sort of was inspired to be Rachel because I admired her hard work and her endurance. But, at the same time she was a bad person to look up to. I thought I was the smartest student in my class, it got to my head I was 13/14. Me wanting to be like Rachel Berry caused me to be that way. Whenever someone got better grades than me I got jealous. Then, I got to high school and found out that there were smarter students than me. I’m more humble now. But I agree, the show rewarded bad behavior. I mean I was never rude to anyone, but I let my confidence get the better of me in 8th grade. She installed the idea that I have to be better than everyone. That’s not a good role model. I know it’s a show, but still bullying isn’t cool. Knowing that Rachel and Lea are basically the same people makes me so angry because Lea abused her position in the show to get what she wanted. I don’t think Rachel deserved a Tony especially after she left NYADA for broadway and then left broadway for LA.

I was very young when I watched this show so whenever stuff got swept under the rug (a.k.a almost everything Rachel did) I didn’t really pay attention to it. But when I went back and rewatched Glee I really saw how messed up some of the plots were.
Her having her mouth taped in duct tape as a silent protest for not having a solo is petty considering how many songs she sing to fill her ego up. There is a fine line between self confidence and delusions according to Cassandra July. It is also hypocritical because I recalled in one episode where she and Finn loses the duet contest to Quinn and Sam by singing a song as a priest and schoolgirl to make Sam feel accepted in the glee club. The whole damn show. She barely had any redeeming qualities. If Mr. Shue wasn't so obsessed with her and she did not tantrum every time she did not get a solo, we would of been able to see more of the group shine and they probably would have one nationals before their senior year. What annoyed me was that Rachel barely ever experienced the consequences for her actions. It's as if the writers didn't want anyone to contradict this annoying brat of a character (Well, Santana could sometimes, and when she did it was hilarious).
During the Rumors episode after Quinn called her out for singing with Finn when she knew Quinn didn't want them singing together she told everyone that Quinn was cheating with Sam. She wasn't, she was helping Sam when his family lost their house, kept his confidence and didn't tell anyone. Instead of realizing Quinn did something incredibly selfless and apologizing and thanking her, she was more concerned about how Quinn found out.

So Rachel can’t say that he wasn’t brave or a risk taker, because he was one of the bravest characters on the show.

I really think you should have included her stalking the Dean of NYADA after she choked at her audition. It wasn’t enough to try and get in touch w Carmen Tibideaux at the school (which Kurt did in a perfectly normal manner.) Rachel, OTOH, calls her over one hundred times and tries to follow her around in order to get another chance. Not only could the Dean have gotten a restraining order (which Finn was WRONG abt in s2 re Kurt, but that’s a dif issue) but Rachel could have ended up with a huge fine and possibly jail time, depending on how far she went. The fact that Glee glossed over what Rachel did and had Tina explain what a special flower Rachel was to the Dean quite probably led a bunch of tweens to believe that it’s okay to stalk somebody if you really, really, really want something badly enough. As an attorney in Manhattan I can positively say that what Rachel did was criminal.

Try to see this from the OTHER side tho. You gave this girl three chances to do things right, she messed up all 3 times. You have a limited amnt of time to visit all over the country to see all applicants for the coming year and no matter how many times you’ve told Ms Berry to stop calling you, stop showing up at various places you go, she’s there anyway. YOU know that Rachel, as annoying as she is, isn’t going to brandish a weapon or cause further kinds of emotional harm. Carmen Tibideax knows nothing of the sort. This random girl from Ohio WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONG, will not stop. Most ppl will eventually bring in the police. Step back for a second. What was Rachel’s worst case scenario? She likely doesn’t get accepted to the upcoming class of NYADA, tries out again in Dec of the upcoming year, blows the Dean away, and is accepted to the second semester of what would be freshman year or again, worst case, starts the following fall. All she had to do was something similar to what KURT did. Find a job to fill in the time while waiting to get a second chance. Instead, she made the deans life a living nightmare. In RL, that dean would never have agreed to see Rachel perform bc she was annoying the crap out of her. Possibly this has happened before but with tragic consequences. What is Rachel or Glee thinking? It wasn’t helpful for them to minimize how draining, frightening and potentially criminal Rachel’s actions were. Would you have felt the same way if Quinn had allowed Puck to steal the money ND made during their bake sale, and indicated that he should continue to do similar things to get the money she needed for her baby? I found it doubtful you’d think that was also okay. How about if Dave, in a temper exacerbated by his roiling feelings abt being seen as gay, had indeed beaten Kurt within an inch of his life or raped him in an empty restroom? Would that have been okay, as a fan of Dave, bc you understand WHY he acted that way? The fact thT you, personally don’t have a problem with what Rachel did does not make it any less of a crime. The same with Puck (in the scenario I gave). The difference comes down to the fact that neither Dave or Puck actually committed those crimes but Rachel DID,and instead of Glee pointing out that it’s not right to stalk people, they simply didn’t discuss it at all, except vaguely and in passing. I won’t discuss this anymore except to say that Rachel’s singing was indeed Devine. I love almost every single song she sang (except Jar of Hearts). And she sang hundreds of songs. I never, ever felt that Rachel wasn’t an awesome amazing special singer with an exceptional voice. It’s simply that she doesn’t get a pass for acting in a manner that would normally cause criminal action simply bc her voice is wondiferous. Jessie (Jonathan Groff) had a voice to die for, he wasn’t let into NYADA on the stupidest of reasons, and as we saw, he excelled in Broadway anyway. (Jessie that is. Obviously JG already had that down.) At times, he acted like a dipshit but he never stalked Ms Tibideax and used his time talking to her to further Rachel’s cause. It wasn’t “whether or not Rachel got into the performing arts school”. It was merely a question of WHEN. And we live in a society wherein ppl (supposedly) attempt to follow society’s laws as a social contract. And that’s all she wrote!!
Everytime Santana had something to speak about, I really wished the show would let her continue. She was always right when she said Rachel was selfish and other things. She's mad that Santana was an understudy, shows her jealous side. She was mad when Sunshine wanted to audition when GLEE CLUB NEEDED MORE PPL AND INSTEAD OF WELCOMING HER, HER JEALOUSY ROSE AND SENT HER TO A CRACKHOUSE. What a narcissistic action. And let's not forget that no matter how horrible she was, the show spoiled her and made her character live the 'little miss perfect' life.

The thing that ANNOYS me the most, is that they act like she’s the best singer. She does have an amazing voice you can’t deny that, but there’s just no flavour and soul in her singing. I agree because Rachel/Les wasn’t really a role model for her fans. I remember when I watched glee in 8th grade, I sort of was inspired to be Rachel because I admired her hard work and her endurance. But, at the same time she was a bad person to look up to. I thought I was the smartest student in my class, it got to my head I was 13/14. Me wanting to be like Rachel Berry caused me to be that way. Whenever someone got better grades than me I got jealous. Then, I got to high school and found out that there were smarter students than me. I’m more humble now. But I agree, the show rewarded bad behavior. I mean I was never rude to anyone, but I let my confidence get the better of me in 8th grade. She installed the idea that I have to be better than everyone. That’s not a good role model. I know it’s a show, but still bullying isn’t cool. Knowing that Rachel and Lea are basically the same people makes me so angry because Lea abused her position in the show to get what she wanted. I don’t think Rachel deserved a Tony especially after she left NYADA for broadway and then left broadway for LA.

There is a fine line between self confidence and delusions according to Cassandra July. It is also hypocritical because I recalled in one episode where she and Finn loses the duet contest to Quinn and Sam by singing a song as a priest and schoolgirl to make Sam feel accepted in the glee club.

No. There's no excuse for bullying. Besides santana bullied everyone and never even apologised for it. I never understood people who bash rachel but absolutely adore santana. I feel she is way worse. Atleast rachel learns from her mistake and grows from it and apologises. I've never seen santana doing that.

All the things in the video are what I had known for years watching Glee and yet Rachel never pay the price for her horrible actions toward people around her. Only now with Lea being exposed as a real life Rachel that people start to see what I see.

I always hated Rachel lol....one of my least favorite parts of the show was the fact that Rachel did most of the same stuff that Kurt did but even worse, and she rarely faced consequences the way he did.

Rachel had the worst wasted potential for character growth of any character on the show.
She never grew as a person or character and remained from beginning to end a spoiled, selfish, entitled and insufferable brat.
I’m surprised her reaction when she and Mercedes are both given callbacks for the role of Maria in West Side Story wasn’t on here.

There's a few ways that touch could have been interpreted, but at the end of the day she didn't blow the whistle because she was concerned for the kid. She was petty because Sandy gave the solo to the kid instead of her.

Only one I could disagree with was when she accused that teacher of being inappropriate with the student. Just rewatched the show recently and while he was playing the piano and the student was singing, he was definitely very creepily rubbing all over the boy's abs 🥴 number one should've either been "crunk club" or sending sunshine to as crack house, maybe even when she was pursuing will
I think if this were real life Rachel would have been kicked out of Glee club, especially after sending someone to a crack house.
I also hated the time where she shamed Kurt for not being brave enough to take a risk. He was LITERALLY the only out gay kid at McKinley High before Blaine joined, he was bullied relentlessly and received death threats from a classmate, and he was gaybashed while saving another man’s life. So Rachel can’t say that he wasn’t brave or a risk taker, because he was one of the bravest characters on the show.
And she was supposed to be his best friend? Seeing the way she treated Kurt like crap WAY too often HURT. She's definitely a contender for the 'most toxic friend' award.

I really think you should have included her stalking the Dean of NYADA after she choked at her audition. It wasn’t enough to try and get in touch w Carmen Tibideaux at the school (which Kurt did in a perfectly normal manner.) Rachel, OTOH, calls her over one hundred times and tries to follow her around in order to get another chance. Not only could the Dean have gotten a restraining order (which Finn was WRONG abt in s2 re Kurt, but that’s a dif issue) but Rachel could have ended up with a huge fine and possibly jail time, depending on how far she went. The fact that Glee glossed over what Rachel did and had Tina explain what a special flower Rachel was to the Dean quite probably led a bunch of tweens to believe that it’s okay to stalk somebody if you really, really, really want something badly enough. As an attorney in Manhattan I can positively say that what Rachel did was criminal.

I said that STALKING PEOPLE is ILLEGAL and should not be glorified such that kids and teenagers believe that it’s alright for them to do so as well as long as they REALLY want something. If you can, ppl should chase their dreams whether they are kids, teens, YAs, or middle aged. But it should be done properly. As in LEGALLY. Yes, I think it’s wrong to stalk people. So does the NY legislature. One shouldn’t NEED to break the law merely bc they are chasing their dreams. Whatever they might be. If you find that it’s “necessary” to cheat, lie, hurt other people in your pursuit of happiness, you’re not doing it correctly.
And I’m not saying this must be done by rules I’ve personally made up. I’m saying it should be done by the laws that exist in this state. If you can not achieve your dreams without crossing the line from civilian to criminal, just keep in mind that most jails or prisons (yes, there’s a difference) are petri dishes for covid. Approximately 50-70% of all prisoners are catching covid in an environment that doesn’t allow for you to get away from all the sick ppl. Good luck with your dreams in the next life... 🥺😢🙏🕊

Now imagine you’ve told a prospective student (former lover, family member, etc.) to stop calling you, to leave you alone. But they persist, over and over and over and over again, never stopping, showing up at places you used to imagine were safe or free from this type of trouble (a classroom, a conference room, your home) and it just goes on and on and on, no matter what you say, no matter how you feel.
You only see this from Rachel’s POV: of COURSE the dean needs to see her perform. She’s a prodigy, she’s one of the best singers in the state, perhaps the nation. It doesn’t matter what the dean says bc once she sees Rachel in her natural habitat, on stage, it will prove that she’s right, she DESERVES a spot in that school. Try to see this from the OTHER side tho. You gave this girl three chances to do things right, she messed up all 3 times. You have a limited amnt of time to visit all over the country to see all applicants for the coming year and no matter how many times you’ve told Ms Berry to stop calling you, stop showing up at various places you go, she’s there anyway. YOU know that Rachel, as annoying as she is, isn’t going to brandish a weapon or cause further kinds of emotional harm. Carmen Tibideax knows nothing of the sort. This random girl from Ohio WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONG, will not stop. Most ppl will eventually bring in the police.
Step back for a second. What was Rachel’s worst case scenario? She likely doesn’t get accepted to the upcoming class of NYADA, tries out again in Dec of the upcoming year, blows the Dean away, and is accepted to the second semester of what would be freshman year or again, worst case, starts the following fall. All she had to do was something similar to what KURT did. Find a job to fill in the time while waiting to get a second chance. Instead, she made the deans life a living nightmare. In RL, that dean would never have agreed to see Rachel perform bc she was annoying the crap out of her. Possibly this has happened before but with tragic consequences. What is Rachel or Glee thinking? It wasn’t helpful for them to minimize how draining, frightening and potentially criminal Rachel’s actions were.
Would you have felt the same way if Quinn had allowed Puck to steal the money ND made during their bake sale, and indicated that he should continue to do similar things to get the money she needed for her baby? I found it doubtful you’d think that was also okay. How about if Dave, in a temper exacerbated by his roiling feelings abt being seen as gay, had indeed beaten Kurt within an inch of his life or raped him in an empty restroom? Would that have been okay, as a fan of Dave, bc you understand WHY he acted that way? The fact thT you, personally don’t have a problem with what Rachel did does not make it any less of a crime. The same with Puck (in the scenario I gave). The difference comes down to the fact that neither Dave or Puck actually committed those crimes but Rachel DID,and instead of Glee pointing out that it’s not right to stalk people, they simply didn’t discuss it at all, except vaguely and in passing.
I won’t discuss this anymore except to say that Rachel’s singing was indeed Devine. I love almost every single song she sang (except Jar of Hearts). And she sang hundreds of songs. I never, ever felt that Rachel wasn’t an awesome amazing special singer with an exceptional voice. It’s simply that she doesn’t get a pass for acting in a manner that would normally cause criminal action simply bc her voice is wondiferous. Jessie (Jonathan Groff) had a voice to die for, he wasn’t let into NYADA on the stupidest of reasons, and as we saw, he excelled in Broadway anyway. (Jessie that is. Obviously JG already had that down.) At times, he acted like a dipshit but he never stalked Ms Tibideax and used his time talking to her to further Rachel’s cause. It wasn’t “whether or not Rachel got into the performing arts school”. It was merely a question of WHEN. And we live in a society wherein ppl (supposedly) attempt to follow society’s laws as a social contract.
And that’s all she wrote!!

Everytime Santana had something to speak about, I really wished the show would let her continue. She was always right when she said Rachel was selfish and other things. She's mad that Santana was an understudy, shows her jealous side. She was mad when Sunshine wanted to audition when GLEE CLUB NEEDED MORE PPL AND INSTEAD OF WELCOMING HER, HER JEALOUSY ROSE AND SENT HER TO A CRACKHOUSE. What a narcissistic action. And let's not forget that no matter how horrible she was, the show spoiled her and made her character live the 'little miss perfect' life.
