ugh being reminded of Cory Monteith’s death still gets me emotional. he’s from Calgary, but grew up on vancouver island, which is where i’m from. him and my mom grew up together and went to school together and I remember being younger and always playing with him. he was like an uncle or something. we were so close. I remember when my mom told me about his death and I was so heartbroken. I still miss him so much to this day

I feel like this was included partially because of the acting surrounding it. They weren't 'just' singing and dancing, they were hamming it up and it's a nice change.
So weird watching Cory and knowing he's gone. I think he was one the first celebrities that was gone too soon from my generation. I'm sure there were others and I'm sure there are others since, but he was the one that I legitimately followed or was acutely aware of the passing.

So weird watching Cory and knowing he's gone. I think he was one the first celebrities that was gone too soon from my generation. I'm sure there were others and I'm sure there are others since, but he was the one that I legitimately followed or was acutely aware of the passing.

I think Smooth Criminal really deserved to be on here! Santana and Sebastien's performance was extremely unique and just incredible! I had never heard the song before and I'm not even sure if I actually liked the song or the performance its self, but I watched it over and over again!
