And the decision to make the song completely acapella is genius. The harmonies sound amazing in it
When I watched the episode, it immediately became my most favorite cover from the entire series.

I've never been first before! "Nutbush City Limits," "Bring Him Home" and "Bust Your Windows" are two of the best underrated Glee performances.

Basically any song that allows Kurt to use his chest register and not sing falsetto is an underrated gem
Homeward Bound/Home always hits differently now when you realize that half the people in that number have passed on. At least that beautiful song will forever be a great memory of them.
Mercedes singing Aretha's "Ain't No Way" is so underrated to me. It's amazing

Amber never got the vocal recognition she deserved on the show
I never fail to cry during Funeral, especially during Pure Imagination. Sue was at her most vulnerable. So Emotional was a top Santana and Rachael duet but Be Okay was a personal fav. I also loved Alone by Will and April, oh and when Will sang with the new football coach Beaste (I think is how it’s spelt) in that bar during Blame it on the Alcohol.
"homeward bound/home" is absolutely underrated. that was such a beautifully done mash up and the alumni back together like that was fantastic. but the part where finn comes out to join them *always* makes me cry these days.
Take me to church always gives me chills. My man definitely is top!!

Season 6 listen to your heart was a stunning performance and no one ever talks about it because it was S6. Had it been done in s3 or s4, People would have paid more attention. Also the chemistry between the 2 of them just shines through in that performance
1.) Mercedes was the most under-appreciated character on “Glee” and she deserves all her flowers. She never got a solo for competitions and that's a shame considering her vocal prowess. Amber Riley was the most utilized actor on the show who received the least respect (Harry Shum, Jr. and Jenna Ushkowitz run a very close 2nd & 3rd).
2.) “4 Minutes” is beyond a bop. I love the “Glee” version more than Madonna & Justin Timberlake's version. With the phenomenal marching band, the incredible choreo, and the amazing vocal blending of Amber Riley & Chris Colfer, that performance should be a top 10 best from the entire series. It also helped to cement the bond between Mercedes & Kurt. Kurtcedes was a great friendship that got thrown under the bus for all of the Rachel-centeredness of the show.
Kurt and Mercedes had such a great relationship I missed it in later seasons
Agreed. "4 Minutes" should have been a turning point, making the rest of the show all about showcasing the talent of the various cast members, but inevitably it all kept coming right back to Rachel.
@@MeyaRoseGirl YES. Abd i think their friendship should have also been the start of that. We needed more power duets from the underrated characters. Also 4 Minutes was an absolute masterpiece and better than the original.
i know lea michele was a bitch to everyone, but goddamn you can’t deny that girl is talented. and amber riley. holy SHIT. her voice is incredible.

My Man is one that always sends chills down my spine and I would of done "I want to know what love is" as Number 1 myself

I’m a little surprised that a Quinn song isn’t on the list considering she had a great voice that was criminally underused and underrated

I may not like a lot of Glee, like….A LOT I can’t stand, but dang it the COVERRRSSS!! When they were good, they were GOOD!! 😆🙌
OA I loved Artie’s song “Dancing With Myself” and Mercedes and Santana’s song “The Boy Is Mine” I was also hoping that “Don’t Stop Believing” would’ve been at number one still I support “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” being number one. 😊😊😊😊😊
“Don’t stop Believin’” isn’t underrated; it gets tons of the attention.

Tina slayed during pure imagination
Artie is a director for sure even making his ex dance with the new guy for that impact on his song. A true composer
Cough Syrup is criminally underrated. Darren Criss made you feel every single lyric of that song. Still one of my favorites

Great video,it cuts deep. That one of the greatest voices of the show Naya Rivera. Had there life cut so short.

I don't know if it's considered "Underrated" but I really enjoyed "Smooth Criminal" with the passionate dueling cellists. Those two instrumentalists should get a shout-out of their own.
Pretty much anything by any cast member who wasn't Rachel Berry. Just saying. Everyone else constantly got overlooked.

Fo course Tina was underrated in an underrated performances video. Tina, you'll always be my favorite. Most group performances were great thanks to Tina (ABC, One of US, Breakaway, Wannabe, Pure Imagination, Home from season 6).

I agree with most of these, you did a really good job pointing out real 'underrated' songs. However, I feel like 'so emotional' is really popular because lots of people ship pezberry or think that Santana and Rachel are the best singers in the show. And 'my man' is talked about a lot too, there are a lot of other underrated Rachel solos though, for example 'the rose', 'take a bow' or 'jar of hearts'
My top underrated Rachel solos are "How Deep is Your Love" and "Lovefool" (although that last one isn't technically a solo if you count the 3-5 members in the background providing backup)
And as someone who's been on AO3 and seen the Pezberry shipping, I have to agree, I think "So Emotional" is far from underrated
