what about the “there’s gotta be a journey song we haven’t done yet” jokes? Some of these aren’t really running gags being either just not a gag or only occurring in on or two seasons but that’s repeated a lot, in multiple different ways and in nearly every season.

"You're old as a hill." What does that even mean!? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was laughing at how ridiculous the insult is, and then I googled it. It's a legit one, though mostly pops up on British slang sites. Apparently it derives from the Bible, in Job 15:7. Essentially means you're as old as when the hills formed, aka ancient.
These insults reach impressively deep. I would've just said someone was as old as dust, and called it a day.

I have heard that insult quite a bit. I grew going to church and I still go. Some of the snobby girls at church would use the old as the hills insult quite a bit. I thought it was stupid.

I laughed so hard when the jokes about Sue having a baby came out, they were pure gold!!
She may be a mean character but damn Sue was the best! Her roasts were just👌🏻. I cried in the episode for her sister, despite the constant mockery of him Will was their for her, they are the best frenemies.

@@livrobinson7212 Yeah, he doesn't deserve it. But hopefully Zack means it how I use it. I just see Mark as a body who has been rotting for 3 years in the ground. Yet I do say it in terms of his family. I hope they can find peace and not carry guilt for his crimes, or guilt for how he died, and maybe eventually they can remember the good times. So in that regard, I hope he rests in peace.
But if the afterlife is real, Cory and Naya need to kick him the hell out because he isn't just a creep. He chose to abuse children by downloading the videos, as it only causes more to be made. So in that regard, if we have some afterlife I can only hope his includes a floor made of lava and furniture made of cacti.

One of my favorite running gags on Glee is every time someone calls Blaine, Blaine Warbler. Because sometimes it will be casually said in a lengthy insult and I don't even catch it until the second time through.

Not the exact words but still funny for me.
In later seasons, the fact that characters can just drop everything and instantly travel between NYC and Lima (or wherever they happen to be) becomes a recurring joke. Sue even calls it out in one episode; asking Santana if any of them actually have jobs since they clearly have enough money to fund a private team of teleportation scientists. Then there's the fact that the glee club's costumes and sets are WAY too professional for a high school, and also clearly too expensive for a club that is allegedly struggling with funding. Hell, I went to an actual creative/performing arts magnet high school, and WE WISH we had costumes/sets of that caliber! Admittedly, that might be considered more of a plot-hole than a running gag.

Trouty Mouth is iconic. Also, you missed Quinn unable to act straight and staring at Rachel all the time, which is always hilarious. And the WTF faces that are classics from Santana, Quinn and Rachel.

Becky and Homer Simpson both suffer from Zylophobia, in Homer's case it's 'because its the music you hear when skeletons are dancing'. It's more the suddenness of Becky's Zylophobia that's mystifying, maybe she's trying to emulate Coach Sue's rages and just (for some unknown reason) decided she'd focus all her ire on a quite benign and underappreciated member of the percussion section
