- You should know this!!!
This Ford Transit was smoking badly and it couldn't be driven because of this. After carefully investigating this issue it was found that one of the injector seals had gone bad and was allowing gases to escape from the combustion chamber into the cam case causing the engine breather to get blocked. From there, the pressure started to be built within the crank and cam case pushing the oil out through various places and getting it burned resulting in excessive white smoke.
To fix the issue we had this on the menu: new injector seals + cam cover +oil change.

Thanks for making this video, I have a problem with oil leaking from the crank seals even after replacement, I'm hoping its the copper seals that's causing back pressure and nothing more serious👍
Thanks so much for this I replaced this on mine today and problem solved 👍
Hello I have 2012 Citroen relay that smokes like this only when regenerating. Do you have any ideas about this?
I was told by a mechanic that it was the partiality filters that correct van has not been checked yet
Hello I have a Ford transit 350 2.2 tdci 2015
I am getting the same smoke as in your video random times
I have got dpf cleaned ,
Still smoking ….
However I have recently noticed the 3rd injector is cable tied to the neon clip , 3rd & 4th are both looking rough on the supply pipe I think . Leaking oil around both injectors i think oil/diesel ( dark looking )
Could this be copper rings ? And seals
Any check Engine lights or codes ?
Any problems with misfires on these?
Did you get any engine lights I have same problem 2.2 tdci mk8 transit 350
No loss of power , driving 100% no engine lights etc…
No milky oil cap .
No coolant leak
Had dpf cleaned recently
Air filter etc… all good
Do you have any idea
Thanks
Is thus a 2.oL Ecoblue ?
Üst kapak havalandırması mı bozulmuş
I had a brand new dpf fitted and the rest of exhaust, i noticed after this was done i was getting the smoke like in your video. I have now changed the rocker cover and the injector seals and its still smoking??
Could it be doing a regen more often? Its not doing it all the time but a good few times a day. I cant say i noticed it before dpf was fitted.
I have same problem not checked injectors but changed dpf, vaporiser, egr valve, glow plugs and now turbo
@@samchapman3701 did it stop smoking after all this was fixed? May I ask was it 2.0 ecoblue engine?
Same problem here DPF, ERG and glow plugs
Any updates ?
Mine will do it sometimes after 40 miles then not for another 150miles then sometimes twice a day.
Any update ?
Will the van carry on smoking for a bit after you get this done to clear itself out. I had this done and my van is still smoking i had it done one day ago???????????????
It can smoke for a bit, specially if also DPF is clogged and need regen. A good 40-50 miles drive should clear the smoke.
I have driven van 145 miles to day iwill watch it tomorro
I have same problem, and I found oil behind the engine on the exhaust
