EDIT INCASE ANYONE STUMBLED UPON THIS.
I managed to get mine sorted TODAY. Tappets where either seized or flapping in the wind so all 16 have been replaced. 1 injector was carbon city so the seals where replaced and its like a fucking rocket now. No smoke, no issues with rpm. Honestly it's like Christmas come early, so glad to appreciate her again.
Thank you, I was broke down on the side of the road, van was fine then dead as a door nail all of a sudden. This fixed it.
Thank you
Exactly same issue with transit 350 tipper. This saved me taking it to main dealer and ultimately thousands!!
You are a legend. This fixed my van straightaway. Saved me a load of money at the garage 👍🏻

Neat. Have a similar issue but intermittent. Loses power, won't rev past 1200-2000. Power comes back if you floor it for a minute or two and if i shut it off and restart it it usually clears up. No codes/lights.
Ford transit just had Recon engine , all timed up perfect and new turbo fitted . No warning lights on and revs up normally . When driving its like it has no power it’s like the turbo isn’t kicking in but turbo is fine ? Any suggestions ???
Classy. Where you been hiding? Subscribed.
Would this apply to the 2.0l? I just had this happen on the motorway, no warning lights now it's been parked it revs up fine now, can't find a fuel temperature sensor part for the 2.0l 2017 custom?
Fantastic.
Thanks for the comment
Hi mate where are you based? Could you look at my transit custom. Van broke down fuel related issue. I replaced in tank pump, glow plugs and fuel filter. Just had a new BCM module from ford, van starts and drives now however power band is sporadic with lots of flat spots. No fault codes though.
Hello. I have a Ford Transit since 2010, Motor 2.2 and I have problems with him, starts hardly hot from time to time, do you have any idea what it would have?
Thought I would share my findings. I got 2014 transit custom, 2.2 diesel 155hp. Clutch pedal only comes back up half way which, I 've noticed, causing power issues and cruise control doesn't work. When I pull the clutch all the way up with my foot, all back to normal. Not sure how its all connected.
Had the same problem, plus the hill assist stopped working. WD-40 was the solution.
great video.......would like some advice please just bought a new ford transit trail AWD.......LWB 170BHP...with 300 miles on the clock..... the van has no power will rev ok in neutral... but in the gears 4.5.6 there's no power.... wont rev past 3000rpm ???no lights on dash...... very limp
Did you ever get this sorted?
Hello,part number for the sensor?please.thanks
What’s the name of the box you’re using?
It's a decade box. You can find them on Ebay or Amazon.👍
Hi,
Are you based in Birmingham ?
I have the 2012 custom 2.2 duratec. Mine does rev up all the way, no error codes aswell. It pulls weel 1st and 2'd once i drop it into 3rth it just won't pull trough 3rth anymore... I have an error reading box. But it's fcking complicated.
I'll hope i'll be able to sort this out tonight
Hi I’ve got same problem with my van mine won’t pull down a hill either 1st 2nd great crap strange one I’ve had alsorts done new turbo etc still the same
@@simonvickerman9598 figuren is out. Was a stuck egr valve. I let a tuner reprogram my ecu without the egr valve in the software. Runs like a Dreams now
What about no power/horrible acceleration, no fault codes but it's able to rev over 2000, 3000 no problem... no shaking, fuel cons. at idle is always like 0.4-0.5L/h (which is the same as before when car was fine), only that noise i think cause by turbo it terrible like some vacuum cleaner. 1.6tdci/66k2 (focus 2009).
If i could find some other same car to compare live data values but no luck... The thing is that few times car did "fix" it self and like for few days it is flying like a rocket but after few days again it goes bad again.. Any idea?
I use ForScan and checked gas pedal/throttle response is ok, fuel rail pressure seems to be ok ( it follows gas pedal change)...
Did you get to the bottom of this mate? I'm having similar issues with mine
@@chrisgrantham2648 nope... I'm still driving focus in such horrible condition.. no one knows how to fix it and what is the problem

Blocked dpf i reckon
I’m about to bite the bullet and purchase a new van leaning towards the Transit. Probably not the platform but would anyone know if the new transits are on ok?
I see various mechanical problems online but I’m wondering if it’s because of the popularity with a lot of them on the road, are the issues a small acceptable percentage of the volume sold?
All I see is problems with these Ford Custom vans , they seemed ok up to 2015 then the face lift models especially the new ones are problematic with all kinds of issues….
It’s a shame Ford have gone down the pan as I’ve many many good ones In the past namely Mk 5’s 6’s and early 7’s , I wouldn’t buy another one… 😂
