I loved 🥺 , when I studied at TSA Tokyo academic sushi I stayed just a few meters away from this one because it was the best breakfast or lunch of all I love it and I would like to return to Japan one day and try it again 🥰
I'm not sure what actually sure of what came out of that big pot. But I enjoyed it! What's funny is the old lady was a bit reluctant to serve me. I'm sure she thought I wouldn't like it, but I enjoyed it very much. One of my fondest memories of my visit to Tokyo. I wish Vancouver had places like this.
Street vendors are incredible and the backbone of any society. If you want to learn a countries true culture, you must visit these hard working people. They are the reason a country thrives. Not big businesses.
Wished we have this in the US! Many of us don't have time for long lunch nor the luxury to spend $30 on lunch every day. A fast tasty lunch is perfect! Food trucks here are not cheap. Doing mass like this would cut down costs, and make everyone's tummy & pocket happier
Yeah, the USA has the worse 'fast food' industry, the food sucks and the workers hate working. I would love to go back to Japan and just do a street food tour.
The thing about these shops is that you get up at the crack of dawn to prep, then work nonstop throughout the day to serve as many patrons as possible, sometimes late into the night, and repeats. After subtracting expenses you'll probably barely break even. In short, this is a job of passion, not something that can break the bank and bring in loads of riches

懐かしいな〜前回築地を訪ねたのは4年前、きつねやの味は今でも忘れられない！
築地で働く人は吉野家の牛丼感覚で食べに行ってたんだけど。一般客が増えるにつれ値上げが激しくなって、手軽に食べれる朝飯じゃなくなって今に至る。ここの家族は良いも悪いも有名。客が増えたなら安くするのが築地。築地の業者は薄利多売が経営理念。当時との差額は倍近く上がってるみたいです。
こちらの動画を偶々見させていただき素敵な映像(英語も粋ですね)に感激しました！

会社が築地にあった頃、よくホルモン丼をここで食べてました。ここと火事で廃業してしまった井上はいつも行列が出来てました。
