- This interview took place on November 8, 1996 in Schaumburg, Illinois. The band was about to play Jackhammers, and they were promoting their new album, Overnight Sensation. The interview is with Lemmy and Mikkey Dee. Lemmy is full of one-liners, just being himself. He was being super-funny, it was difficult to keep a straight face and stay composed, but I loved every second of it! Some timeless quotes from the man himself. Enjoy the interview and play some Motorhead music to remember Lemmy Kilmister and his great legacy. This feature was originally done for a Mind Melt local cable access show. God Lemmy was fucking entertaining. Even without a bass and a microphone he's amazing. His interviews were always first rate. Abrasive and gregarious in equal measure.
1987 European tour with King Diamond and Destruction was my first Motörhead concert. Caused 80% of my ear damage ;-)

You know... Mikkey left King Diamond because he felt that well when you’re in the band named after the lead singer and he does all the press and gets all the credit purposely it’s kind of like “hey I thought we were a band?”
So I always thought it’s cool to see that while he was with Motörhead Lemmy made it a point to always have him by his side and get his opinions in and everything. It’s something like that that shows that Lemmy being a God still was so humble to go this is my friend and he’s gonna be by my side because he’s part of what makes this band what it is

Motorhead is one of the great bands that did no enjoy near the amount of success they deserved. That said, pretty much every album is good and many are great, but we in America were too foolish not to appreciate it. Rock on Lemmy!

It's just to funny the interviewer tries to be cool and with it and Lemmy is always straight to the point with intelligent answers. no matter what the interviewer just does not get it or is just uncertain on what to ask and it seems lemmy is toying with them and bored at the same time but is on top of them before they even ask the question Lemmy not a stupid person brilliant.
It's just part of the image, Lemmy knows how to put on the show when the tape is rolling. It was tough to keep a straight face and maintain composure. But that's the fun of it. It was all for a good laugh. There will never be anything like Lemmy ever again!!!

Lemmy's demeanor picks up dramatically when the subject changes from Motorhead to world history. It's interesting hearing his reaction to the releases compared to my own. Personally, I still like Orgasmatron the best. I owned the majority of then. Personal taste apparently.

Hate me, fellow Motorhead fans: Lemmy Kilimister looked awesome without his iconic mutton chops.
I didn’t have a chance, to see Motörhead live, but have read,( keep in mind, that read past tense, is spoken red, but written the same way, ,as a present) So I read an article in local newspaper, regarding that concert: it said, that the band has played way too loud, so neighbors cat, started to puke. No more concerts, like this in England Brothers Park.
