I really enjoy Lemmy interviews because you know your just gonna get 100% what he believes with zero bullshit. The world was a better place when he was among us.
@@mark_beastpriest5539 lemmy would say fuck you idiots for following your orders like sheep and would keep rocking out. Covid fearing people are wimp limp dick losers
Lemmy gave himself too hard a time with “Iron Fist” album. That’s a great record. I’m a loser, speedfreak, iron fist, all great songs. It’s SOLID as anything. Believe me
1916 sold 30,000 cant believe that . I was one of em back in the day could not wait for it to be released, bought it on tape . Christ the good auld days.
A real down to earth "Old school" kinda guy. No hares or graces (I don't give a two s**ts) traditional full blown mother f*****g rocker to the very end. Life is so damn flaming quiet without him now :-/ RIP Sir Lemmy x
Old school English gentleman with a wicked dry wit. A real man. Not a pussy. Not a poser or fake. Well read, intelligent, funny, genuine, and had so.many friends all over the world. Was the real deal.
But the fact that an album that sold 30,000 copies was considered on par with Metallica's 4,000,000 copies is probably a respectful move by the Grammy's.
With the exception of Ozzy, even the craziest of British rockers are well spoken and generally articulate. I love Oz though. I don't have any trouble understanding what he says though , like so many people. He makes sense , he just doesn't speak the King's English
when you watch Motörhead perform said Letterman show (playing Chuck Berry's Let it Rock), you can see what kind of looks Lemmy gives Letterman when he walks in)
That Motorhead, speed up, brutal rnr. Not metal. But music industry metal propaganda is strong and many people dont understand. Not even pre-motorhead era Hawkwind And Pink Fairies (which they have all songs from it on On Parole album and Motorhead album + Mick Farren from The Deviants for 'keep us on the reoad', 'lost johnny' and 'damage case') but people just dont know. So music industry use this to talk about this metal propaganda shit.
Notice: 'Snake Bite Love' album was recorded and released in 1998. They talk about it here. And Eric say its good production on it. So this is not interview from 1997?
God broke the mold when he made Lemmy ....the one and only, seems like a great personality honest and truthful, lives his life his way, made great music up until he couldn’t..only because he was “killed by Death”! R.I.P. Lemmy !!! I Know your still rocking with Jesus!!
Hi Eric! I really like your interviews, I enjoy the respect you show to your interviewees by letting them talk, not interrupting at all. I think the date of this video might be wrong, as The Damned played The House of Blues in 1998. They didn't tour America in 1997. Check it out: www.whiterabbitskgs.co.uk/live.htm Funny that Lemmy said that Patricia Morrison from The Jesus & Mary Chain was playing with the Damned. He got it wrong as Pat Morrison was the bass player of The Sisters of Mercy. Cheers!
He is not godfather of meta. He told that very clear in his last interview, which you can find on this site. He said thats rubbish, he is rnr and not metal. Period.
Eric I like this side of you dude. You used to be more natural and laid back. You also were more blunt back then and didn't smile as much (a lot more serious) and even more cocky/arrogant, or maybe just more confident. I figure a more modern version of yourself would have interviewed Lemmy a lot differently back then. The way you were acting with him back then made him warm up to you. He saw you as the cool kid who he could relate to. Why did you change your interviewing style so much? You ask women about what make-up they're wearing today.
Trust me Lemmy was far from being nervous, he was probably honestly thinking I hope this clown hurrays up because I need to get back to my 1 arm bandit game.
1916 was a better than the Black album the only reason that the Black album did so well is because Metallica went mainstream basically they went against they what they stood for bottom linr they sold there soul's to the corporate suits. Lemmy only liked Metallica is because they kissed his ass. Other than that you never heard Lemmy talking about them.
I really enjoy Lemmy interviews because you know your just gonna get 100% what he believes with zero bullshit. The world was a better place when he was among us.

dude around my age is just like him and it's amazing, he's one of my good friends bro
@Jack do not dare to compare Lemmy, to some kid that looks like a fuck boy. Rap / hip-hop has nothing on Rock / Metal
Sorry they deleted the code and broke the mold
the dead should be respected and left to rest in peace undisturbed
RIP Lemmy, you had a fantastic attitude to life, "I don't want to live forever!" Nuff said.......
came to revisit this, it's a bloody good interview, thank you lots for it, Eric.
i still miss this man so much.
'I kept beating Randy Rhoads at asteroids' - classic Kilmister.

pro trick : watch movies on KaldroStream. I've been using it for watching loads of movies lately.
@Kyng Khari yup, have been watching on Kaldrostream for since december myself =)
Come back lemmy I miss you and your interviews.. could listen to this guy all day.
Wish Lemmy was still around.
If he was, he wouldn't wear a mask. Too proud for that.
This is really what RUclips is about. Watching your idol come back to life, not some shitty reaction video
Motorhead is getting me through this stinkin' lockdown here in the uk. No dark thoughts can make themselves heard over lemmy!
Lemmy's blood would probably kill COVID!
Totally agree Mike...me too...fan since 1982!

Always an intelligent answer from lemmy. The things he knows and places hes been.etc etc.RIP to a true legend.

I've always really liked that album. I bought it as a 16 year-old growing up in New Zealand.
@4:35 “I don’t do wham bam thank you, ma’am. We’re a cut above that. We’re Motörhead not Motley Crüe.” Brilliant!!!
Lemmy was and will always be a bad motherfucker
That's right. Poser Crüe isn't worthy to even lick Lemmy's boots.

Gotta admire Lemmy's blunt honesty to just speak his mind and tell it the way it is, in a true gentlemanly way.
Lemmy had patience of steel doing interviews.
Lemmy was moddest and down to earth he never talked like he was the only rock singer and that he knew who he was and that was it
Lemmys comment on Leno and Letterman is spot on.
“We are Motörhead not Motley Crue.”--Lemmy…genius!
lmao "Were Motorhead not Motley Crue."

He actually had conversation and was unintimidated. Comfortable.

Great Interview Eric!
Totally agree. Some uncliche , relevant questions .Eric is good
+David Koval great anwers lemmy....
Had 1916 only sold 30,000 copies by the Grammy nomination point? What an injustice!
1916 was in my opinion the best Metal album of 1991 and it really deserved a grammy, not Selloutica with their black album.
But the fact that an album that sold 30,000 copies was considered on par with Metallica's 4,000,000 copies is probably a respectful move by the Grammy's.
@@tab6496 Only problem is that is not metal. Only for music industry propaganda and their critics as well as for metal fans. An no rnr is not metal.

Iron fist was amazing. I don’t know what you’re talking about Lemmy
Right on about Leno and Letterman. N.Y. vs L.A.
Wrong. Lemmy`s band before the Vickers was the Mowtown Sect, 1962 - 65.
Reverend Black and the Rocking Vicars!
Only knock on Lemmy was his attitude towards his children, not cool at all to take his stance on kids HE made!
